Today –> Antiquing
Each day we will be giving away a great selection of Core’dinations! Each prize will also receive a Dust Buddy and our NEW Sand It Gadget! And today we have one of our favorite sponsors and they have a prize for you in addition to the Core’dinations prize pack! Make sure you leave a comment here letting us know how much you have been enjoying the 12 Days of Techniques! AND CLICK HERE to check out the video.
Today Char Dobson has a wonderful technique for our 9th day….Antiquing!
First, cut your image and then crinkle it.

And Sand. Char sands in this dish because it helps catch some of the dust (such a great idea!):

Embellish it….

And Voila!!! You have a gorgeous project:

Here are a few more examples Char created for us today. See how antiquing looks great as the background?

And these gorgeous wine bottles!!! How cool does that Black Magic look???

So are you ready for yesterdays winner???????

This is my favorite technique so far.
It’s a great affect, adds so much character to any piece and you don’t need anything special in order to use this method. Anyone can try it and have fun with it!

I’ve wondered how this was done! Thanks for sharing!
I like antiquing alot…showed some of my CTMH friends one day and they were shocked. I also like to put a little ink on the edges of “regular” paper. Core’dinations is fine without anything else.
I love the 12 Days of great ideas! The antiqued look is fab!

Learning these techniques is wonderful…I never stopped to think of so many if anyone would have asked. I like this one today and have used this technique a lot. At lot of times I use this and use an ink pad to help make it look antique. Thanks for the opportunity to learn more.

Thanks for the fun!

Another great idea for the use of Core’dinations cardstock. It is nice to be reminded how east this card stock is to use.
I love the mittens. The effect makes it look like snow in the background. Can’t wait to try the technique!
Love those mittens, looking well worn, like they’re hung up on the line to dry after an afternoon of playing outside.
Great projects Charlotte!
Lovely idea. That antiquing makes them look so real.
This is GREAT! I have always been SO diligent about NEVER bending my Core’dinations paper – who knew that I should have been crumpling it up all along??? AMAZING EFFECT!! This paper is even more versatile than I imagined!
Great technique…love the look it creates.
love this technique!
WOW – Day 9 already??? Who knew there were so many different techniques to be explored in our paper crafting hobby. These ideas have all been fabulous, and easy enough that I will definitely give them a try in my cardmaking projects. Thanks so much!
I love your paper. When I originally saw it, I didn’t have time to get any. I made it a point to return to the store a few days later, intent on getting a piece or two. I bought 45 sheets!
Love that mitten banner! Such a simple technique, too!
