Faux Embossing Tutorial with Shaunte Wadley

First up, run a die through your cutting machine. It doesn’t have to be a twelve inch die…this technique will work with any size die. BUT we do have this FABULOUS 2.25″x12″ Sizzix/Tim Holtz Kraft Core that is the PERFECT size to do use your 12″ dies!
The key is using the same cardstock as the base as seen here.
Now sand. Make sure you use your Sand It Gadget!
See how they “match”. By sanding both the base and the die and then layering them, you are creating dimension.
Now adhere the layers and you can see how they look embossed!

Awesome layout! I have really enjoyed using the Core Tim Holtz paper. I love the story on the layout. I don’t get dub step either and I thought I was pretty cool too. Apparently I’m getting old as well lol

Ok I did not read the steps so carefully until after my comment. That is a great faux embossing. I also read the story on the page and loved it. I think we can all relate to that one.
