Spring Silhouette Card
Tracy Gruber has such a great idea for a Spring card for us today! Silhouettes make beautiful home decor so why not use them on a card? The Black Magic for the silhouette against our Core Essentials Pastels really pops and is a great alternative to flowers or stamping. Don’t forget to sand and distress!
Cut the silhouette image from the A Child’s Year Cricut cartridge at 3 1/4″ out of the Black Magic Cardstock. Then, use the Sand It Gadget to sand the edges. Cut the light purple rectangle from the Core Essentials Pastels Pack and emboss with the Cuttlebug Seeing Spots embossing folder. Sand over the embossed part with the Sand It Gadget. Next emboss a piece of the light green card stock, also from the Core Essentials Pastels Pack, with the Darice Wire Fence Embossing Folder and sand with the Sand It Gadget. Finally, distress the edges of a piece of lime green card stock from the Core Essentials Brights Pack with the Tim Holtz Edge Distresser. Attach all of the layers together and adhere the silhouette die cut with foam squares. Tie the black bow around the top using May Arts twine. For the sentiment piece, cut a circle using a Spellbinder’s Standard Circle Small die out of the 110lb Smooth Cardstock. Stamp the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn A Birdie Told Me stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
