Creating an Embossed Grid Pattern

Sometimes I find that it can be tought to come up with new ideas for boy layouts.  I want to share with you a quick and easy tip on how to create your own grid-like pattern with Core’dinations. When I looked at  my son’s shorts in these photos, for some reason it reminded me of Lego ….. So I took my Core’dinations and got to work !!
I cut (4) different colors into 2″ pieces and ran them through this cool mini square embossing folder from Darice

 

 
I gently sanded each piece and then adhered them in a pattern onto the top and bottom of my white spotted cardstock base making sure that each color didn’t end up on top of one another.
