Lydia shows off on this layout that you can pair your BasicGrey with our other collections, too! Lydia used some Core Essentials and Jillian Spotted cardstock on this layout.

And do you love love love love Black Magic like we do?

Design Team Member Debbie Standard created this layout for us using the Black Magic Sarsaparilla cardstock from the Whimsy collection. Don’t be afraid to pair the whimsical patters with the more ornate ones like Debbie did on this layout…it looks awesome!

Today we have some gorgeous projects from Design Team Member Char Dobson. Char used the fun Nordic Holiday Collection from BasicGrey. You MUST pick up this collection for all of your Holiday needs. Char used both the Whimsy and Ornate Core Impressions collections. The BOTH mix beautifully with this line.

Well, it is Tuesday that means we always try and give you a fun tip or technique and today Design Team member Melissa Oliveira is sharing two gorgeous layouts with us with some great ideas.  Melissa got to use the awesome Indie Bloom collection and isn’t cool how she made it festive for us? BasicGrey is SO versatile.

Melissa sanded the background of the BasicGrey Core Impressions to highlight the photo. She made the banner by cutting triangles from the back side of the BasicGrey core impressions, then mounting ot to the brown side (the right side) and trimming a scalloped border using Fiskars deco scissors.

Next up…a TREE from TORN paper!!! SO  COOL!

Melissa cut the small presents at the bottom of the LO  from the front packaging sheet of the Indie Bloom collection.  The prints are smaller on the cover art so they worked well for the look Melissa was going for (the full size prints would have been too big). The tree was made by tearing strips of the BG core impressions, then arranging with repositionable adhesive (from the Glue Glider Pro) and machine stitching in place.

Today we are being inspired by Design Team Member Debbie Standard.

Let me tell you, when our team got a hold of this BasicGrey paper, they didn’t hold back! Debbie has THREE layouts for us today!

For this first layout, Debbie used the Ornate collection and mixed it with some Tillie Spotted cardstock  (red).  She paired it with some Little Black Dress goodies from BasicGrey. Perfect for some Holiday layouts, don’t you think?

And this Cherry Cordial in the Sarsaparilla from the Ornate collection is one of my FAVES! Love how Debbie used it on her layout here today.Don’t be afraid to pair it with another graphic print like Debbie did here with the BasicGrey Herringbone patterned paper.

And back to the Ornate Collection. It’s so elegant and perfect for any layout!

Fabulous Friday with May Arts and Petaloo

We are so excited to be sharing this week of May Arts, Petaloo AND Core’dinations with you!

It is over  already?  That is how time flies around here especially when you are having fun and being inspired. We love Fridays around here, too! Why is that? Well, it’s ANOTHER day to comment to win win win!

THREE awesome companies have come together to inspire you. And our teams have been working hard to create some festive projects for you, too. It’s all about the Holidays. From Halloween to Thanksgiving and even Christmas…you will see festive projects to get those creative juices flowing and hopefully give you some ideas for this time of year.

Did you know that Core’dinations and Petaloo have a color matching program? We sure do! We did all the hard work so that you can easily match your favorite Core Colors with favorite Petaloo flowers. How easy is that???

Today we have a variety of projects for you.

First up Design Team Member Kim Jeffress with a gorgeous wall hanging. There is nothing like some warm fall colors to brighten up any room.

This project is the perfect example of the Core’dinations and Petaloo color matching program.

And how much do you love  the colors of this card from Design Team Member Char Dobson???  Gorgeous gorgeous! I just love Core. You know why?  Because you can emboss it on your own or use the Core Impressions like Char did on this card. She embossed a piece of Core Essentials in orange and then used a piece of BasicGrey in Mantis on the bottom.  Again…the flowers match perfectly!

And Design Team Member Melissa Oliveira has another fun Fall project for us. She altered a bucket she had lying around the house with some beautiful details. Melissa used her Spellbinders dies in addtion to May  Arts Ribbon and Petaloo flowers. The great thing about these flowers is that you can color them!  Melissa used Tim Holtz Distress ink on the flowers because they were a little bright for the  fall color scheme. Again, just perfect for ANY project.

And Design Team Member Leica Forrest created this soft and feminine layout for us today. Nothing screams little girl like pink , flowers and ribbon! The base is Pink Paislee Core Impressions.

Seeing Spots Today!

First up we have an announcement!!! Get ready for Monday!!!

Today we are seeing spots with Design Team Member Andrea Amu. Our two Spotted Collections are Jillian (embossed small dot) and Tillie (embossed larger dot) that are just perfect for any papercrafting project.

And some Tillie Spots in Mantis for this fun layout. Look closely, Andrea did some really cool misting right over the sanding.

Core’dinations and Glue Arts Day THREE

First up we have a layout from Design Team Member Melissa Oliveira featuring tons of Tim Holtz Adirondack, Pink Paislee core Impressions, Cosmo Cricket Core Impressions, Jenni Bowlin Whitewash along with Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro, Raisen’s, U Cut It  3D Adhesive foam.

See the torn/ruffled cardstock?  You need a really great adhesive to make sure the Cosmo Cricket Core Impressions (pink ) will adhere to that ruffle and Glue Arts is perfect.

Next up we have a Design Team Member Debbie Standard with another layout. That Cosmo Cricket Woodgrain looks amazing as a background. Who needs patterned paper??   Debbie used the Glider Pro and the Adhesive Squares from Glue Arts. Must haves for any crafter!
