Good Tuesday Morning!

This is going to be a GREAT week. We are here, kicking of December with BasicGrey!

If you haven’t heard, we have a BasicGrey Core Impressions line that we just LOVE! There are TWO Core Impression packs in this line that are fabulous.  The Whimsy Collection is full of bright colors and whimsical patterns that match BasicGrey papers and embellishments. And the Ornate Collection has beautiful blues, greens and pinks that coordinate with BasicGrey papers and embellishments as well.  You will be seeing both of these collections in action this week along with LOADS of BasicGrey goodies, too!

Each pack has FOUR embossed patterns in FIVE colors totaling 20 unique sheets and we sell certain sheets individually as well.

And you know it wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t have a giveaway! We are giving away one of EACH of our BasicGrey Core Impressions lines!!!

You have a few ways to win this week.

1.) Leave a comment here on the Core blog all week long! Leave a comment everyday for up to FIVE chances to win!

2.) Head over to our Facebook page for another chance to win!

3.) Make your way over the BasicGrey blog for additionial chances to win, too! AND if you go to their Facebook page to win they are giving away goodies there, too! Make sure you tell them we sent you!!!!!!!!

Now are you ready for some inspiration?  Don’t forget to click HERE to get seethe gorgeous projects over at the BG Blog and more chances to win win win!

AND if you haven’t seen it yet…we have our Tim Holtz Kraft-Core giveaway going on NOW! THIS GIVEAWAY ENDS TODAY!!!! We are giving away 50 packs and THREE signed copies from Tim himself.

Well, it is Tuesday that means we always try and give you a fun tip or technique and today Design Team member Melissa Oliveira is sharing two gorgeous layouts with us with some great ideas.  Melissa got to use the awesome Indie Bloom collection and isn’t cool how she made it festive for us? BasicGrey is SO versatile.

Melissa sanded the background of the BasicGrey Core Impressions to highlight the photo. She made the banner by cutting triangles from the back side of the BasicGrey core impressions, then mounting ot to the brown side (the right side) and trimming a scalloped border using Fiskars deco scissors.

Next up…a TREE from TORN paper!!! SO  COOL!

Melissa cut the small presents at the bottom of the LO  from the front packaging sheet of the Indie Bloom collection.  The prints are smaller on the cover art so they worked well for the look Melissa was going for (the full size prints would have been too big). The tree was made by tearing strips of the BG core impressions, then arranging with repositionable adhesive (from the Glue Glider Pro) and machine stitching in place.

The Grande Finale with Graphic 45

Today is our last day with Graphic 45 but that doesn’t mean that you won’t see more Graphic goodness here in the future. Don’t forget that we have one of these awesome packs for grabs, too! Our Signature Series Cardstock...it’s FabUlous! In the past we have teamed up with Graphic 45 for our Core Impressions and this past summer we debuted the Signature Series. Now you can get the gorgeous Graphic 45 designs on our cardstock AND their “signature” colors! So if you have loads of Graphic 45 sitting at home waiting to be used, this pack of cardstock will match perfectly.

AND of course we are giving one away here!!! Make sure you head over to the Graphic 45 Blog for more chances to win!

AND we always do a little something over on our Facebook page, too, so make sure you check in there often. Graphic 45 has a Facebook page so make sure you go over there and tell them how much you looooove them :) :):)

We have some amazing altered pieces for you today.

First up is an album AND matching frame set from Design Team Member Char Dobson. LOVE how these ladies worked the metal door plates from Graphic 45 Staples collection!!!! LOOK at all that Graphic 45 Core Impressions Timeless collection! We love how our Cardstock looks with shine so Char used some Maya Mist …looks gorgeous, don’t you think?

{Sigh} Paris!

Here are some details on the album. The album is Graphic 45. These premade Policy Envelopes from the Staples collection make creating minis so easy!!!! Char used Glue Arts and Helmar Adhesives to help create this gorgeous mini, too.

AND a printer’s tray with Designer April Derrick. The details are amazing.

Some details…

April die cut out the treasures title using  the Graphic 45 Signature Series cardstock and then applied glossy accents to the top so when it dried it has a 3-d effect.

Them April took the metal flowers from Graphic 45 Staples collection and ran them through the Cuttlebug and embossed them, then painted them with some Tattered Angels silver metallic glimmer glaze!  And add some Petaloo flowers. Love them in black.

There you will see all of our preferred partners, including Glue Arts, and the projects that we have created.

Today  our Design Team Member Char Dobson created this layout in celebration of Canadian Thanksgiving using Core’dinations and, of course… GLUE ARTS. We just couldn’t stop! Char also used some Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions and Black Magic.

There are so many great details on this layout and so many things to be thankful for.

Designer Lydia Jackson created this awesome Halloween wall hanging for us today. And a close-up. Check out this awesome, awesome detail.

And Designer Kim Jefress made this adorable card for us today, too.

Here is a little bit about how Kim put this card together. From start to finish it is just gorgeous. AND don’t forget….Glue Arts is PERFECT for any project…cards…layouts..mini albums…ANY crafting project. The base of the card and to attach the pattern paper I used the GLUE GLIDER PRO. To give the hot air balloon a lift  and to create dimension on my card I used the U CUT IT 3d adhesive block. The colors are just beautiful, too. LOVE the balloon in the Vintage cardstock, don’t you?

The U Cut It Foam adhesives give the perfect dimension to this card.

Today we have a tutorial for you from Design Team Member Shaunte Wadley using Core’dinations Vintage Cardstock, Whitewash, Glitter Silk and Core Essentials.

Sometimes those brads look ugly on cards when you open them up and look inside, don’t you think?  Well Shaunte worked around that with this solution.

First, snip off the back of the brad like this:

Then adhered it to the Glitter Silk Crown using Glue Arts Square Adhesives. You definitely need an adhesive that is going to stick with this large brad!

Next you need some of these! U Cut It foam 3D adhesives. Our team is going gaga over these! You can trim them to any size you want! Small, Medium…Large..whatever you need.

Cut some down to the appropriate size and adhere it to the back of the crown:

And here is a some close-up of what your final project will look like:

And now for some MORE winners!

Now it’s time for some Glue Arts!

Make sure you head over to the Glue Arts blog for some awesome projects from their Design Team. They are also introducing a new product, Glue Glider Pro PLUS and they are doing 10 days of give-a-ways over there!!! And they have a GrEaT Facebook page, too, make sure you head over there as well.

And, YES, we are giving away ANOTHER pack of Core for one lucky winner that posts here on the blog this week!!!

Today we have some designs from Ellen Sosnoski.

I love taking my projects off the page and you must have a good adhesive to be able to do just that.

For this gift bag I used some My Mind’s Eye Core Impressions and My Mind’s Eye Minis and Glue Arts Adhesive Squares,  Glue Arts Glider Pro and Glue Arts UCut it Foam Adhesive.

And next up I created a card using some Pink Paislee Core Impressions and a Core Tag in Pastels (I looooove these!!!) I was over at their Live Pink (The Pink Paislee forum) this weekend and played along with some of their WCMD challenges to upcycle so I used a rubon applicator.

This is the best part. I used some UCut it Foam Adhesive, of course, and ONE adhesive square for the rubon applicator! I only needed one that is how tacky they are. I put it right under the ribbon knot and it’s not going anywhere.

See you tomorrow!

We are here all week long with Glue Arts!
