Don’t you think?
We sure do here at Core! Have you seen our tried our Glitter Silk paper yet? If you haven’t, you must!
It is smooth as silk and cuts beautifully…and the best part is that it doesn’t shed glitter all of your scrapbook room and yourself. There have been plenty of times I have walked around the house or even the grocery store with glitter on my face and didn’t even know it! This won’t happen with this versatile cardstock.
Here is a card from Ellen Sosnoski that shows off how beautifully it cuts and looks great with our other cardstock lines like Core Essentials. Remember for tips on scoring click here for our videos.
And p.s…..don’t forget to check out our June Challenge!!!
All you need to do is journal and show us a fun Hard Core technique and you can get up to TWO chances to win!!
Check out details here.

And a close up of the die cut flowers from Lifestyle Crafts:

The sentiment is from MyStamp Box and embossed with clear embossing powder and the flowers are layered with Helmar Zapdots.
AND we have more
YOU know how much we LOVE color ’round here so if you like this color combination here it is for you:

Yipppppeeeeee!
It’s Friday today and we have some fun finds for you today.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
First up is a layout from Sheri Twing’s , well, speaking of FIRSTS…this is FIRST time Sheri used Core’dinations! Can you believe that? The thing that caught our eye about this layout is the subtle sanding on the Black Magic in the upper left hand corner and the complimentary spritzing down at the bottom. The two different techniques play so well off of each other, don’t you think?
Thanks, Sheri!!!
Other supplies used:
Mr. Huey’s spritz, Echo Park for the Record.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And next up is a fun layout from Amy Teets from their first snow. How cool is it that she turned the Cosmo Cricket Woodgrain Core Impressions on it’s side! Such an awesome look and so simple!
Thanks, Amy!!!

And a close up of that FABuLous woodgrain!

Other Supplies used:
Creative Imaginations- Beloved by IOD, The Robins Nest silver dew drops, Magistical Memories- Nesting Circles chipboard, Sew Easy- Misty Morn, Elle’s Studio- Vintage Winter Flashcard, Jenni Bowlin- Vintage Style buttons, Helmar Adhesive Runner, 450 Adhesive and Zapdots.

It’s Glitter Silk! Have you seen our NEW Glitter Silk paper that debuted at CHA this winter? It is awesome!!! If you haven’t asked your favorite retailer to get, you should!
It is smooth like silk….meaning it cuts like butter. NO tearing in your paper trimmer, NO destroying your favorite scissors. Smooth as SILK!
AND it looks gorgeous paired with our other shimmery paper lines like Gemstones and Core Couture as seen in this layout by Design Team Member Heather Bowser. Notice she cut hers with a die cut machine?

Other Core’dinations used on this layout: Stacy Julian Core Impressions and Core Essentials.
And Glitter Silk is paired with some more Core Couture and Core Essentials on a card by Design Team Member Ellen Sosnoski:

Preferred Partner Supplies: Spellbinders, Sizzix and Fiskars.

We will start off from a gorgeous layout from Design Team member Cari Locken featuring an awesome mix of our different collections. She included the Core Amour Onyx Collection, Cosmo Cricket Core Impressions, Vintage and Core Jenni Bowlin Impressions.

Here is a close-up of how Cari cut the Jenni Bowlin letters from the alpha cardstock and raised them with the Helmar Zap dots:

Next up Design team member Sarah Hodginkson has some super cute invites with Helmar Zap dots, tape runner and SRM STickers and Core Essentials Cardstock:

A super cool layout from Design Team Member Hera Frei (even thought it’s about getting stuck in a Hurricane!). Hera adhered the clouds in various layers with Helmar Zap dots and used her Helmar Tape Runner. Also Hera used the Core Impressions for the clouds. SO easy…just punch them out and they are embossed and ready to go!

And a card from Design Team member Ellen Sosnoski using some, yep! You guessed it…Helmar Zap dots on the sentiment and 450 Quick Dry Adhesive for the tag and ribbon (also a mix of Vintage Cardstock and Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions):

To day ONE of Helmar and Core’dinations Teaming up for some fabulous inspiration. Make sure you leave us a comment today and every day for more chances to win some of our unique cardstock.

The first of today’s projects comes from Cari Locken. This Happy New Year card is too perfect to start this week off, don’t you think? Cari used Core Essentials and Vintage Cardstock on this card. She turned the textured side over to the backside of the cardstock for some smooth stamping with her myStampBOX Stamps. And, OF COURSE, Helmar Zap dots!

Here is a close up of the Zap Dots:

This next project is from Hera Frei. Hera made festive Chinese New year envelopes. Hera shares some background on this project with us today, “An ancient custom which has an important role in Chinese New Year is Hong Bao. This involves gifting small red envelopes filled with “lucky money”. These envelopes are given to children and unmarried adults by the married couples. The red color is considered to bring good fortune, and the money inside the envelope is used by them to buy holiday treats”.
These envelopes looks so amazing in the Couture cardstock, don’t they? And Hera embossed them, too! Love the look of the glittery cardstock embossed.
Hera made the basic envelope using a template and red Core Couture Cardstock and sealed it with Quick Dry Adhesive. Then punched some stars using a Fiskars punch and then used Zap Dots to layer them. She also used the Zap Dots to seal the gemstone to the top star and then finished them off with a SRM Sticker.

Do us a favor and make sure you head over to Helmar’s Facebook Page and tell them thanks for a fabulous day!
