This week we have a fun week in store for you….we are introducing our NEW 2011 Design Team. For this special week, each Design Team member created a layout all about themselves. We will be updating galleries daily with new projects from the team so make sure you check their galleries often!
First up is Debbie Standard. Here is a little bit about Debbie in her own words:
My name is Debbie Standard and I have been scrapping for about 10 years now. I have been a Critical Care Nurse for 16 years. I am now employed as head of the Trauma Case Managers at a Level 1 Trauma Center. I work full time and still put in about 5 hours a week charging in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit. I am also a mother to four, three daughters and a son. Between my husband and myself we have a total of six children, eleven grandchildren and one great-greatchild (by his oldest granddaughter), three cats. I love scrapping – it’s my therapy. Once I started submitting for publishing I’ve been addicted. So much fun to see what I have created in a magazine – I never get over the thrill! I have been published in several magazines and am on several card DTs as well as Core’dinations. I have met some wonderful people through design teams and boards. I am so excited to be a part of Core’dinations Design Team for another year. This cardstock is such an exciting product and I am so looking forward with working with this impressive group of Design Team members!

Supplies used for this layout:
Cosmo Cricket Core Impressions, Basic Grey Core Impressions
Core Essentials, Fancy Pants Core Impressions
Next up is Kim Jeffress. Here is a little bit about Kim in her own words:
Hi my name is Kim Jeffress and I hail from beautiful sunny Brisbane Australia. I started my creative journey into scrapbooking about 8 years ago when I met my husband, then boyfriend, who worked out of town and I needed something to keep me busy during the week. A former kindergarten teacher now SAHM, my biggest inspiration for my scrapping are my two active little boys. I like to scrap the good and the not so good aspects of their little lives…the things that they say and do, and the little everyday things that I don’t want to forget. I am very fortunate to be on the design team for Australian Scrapbooking Memories magazine as well as several online shops and manufacturers so I get to work with many different products. I love the feel of embossed, roughed up or textured cardstock as it adds a fabulous rustic feel to my boys pages. I would describe my style as clean, fresh and vibrant with a touch of whimsy! I am soooo very excited to be joining the fabulous team at CORE!!

Hope you are having a wonderful week.
Today’s layout comes from Design Team Member Melissa Oliveira.
It is amazing that this layout is all cardstock!!! Who needs patterned paper? The cut out butterfly from the Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions Vintage Brights line is the perfect accent to the punched butterflies along the page. Just a great example of how you can use your Core’dinations cardstock as is and sanded in one, beautiful layout.

Good Morning! And Happy Father’s Day week here at the Core blog! We are celebrating family here this week and today Kim Jeffress is sharing a fun and easy tip for you. AND it is her first time on the Core’dinations blog, too!
For this layout Kim used the full sheet of a Jenni Bowlin’ 4×6 calendar cardstock sheet from the mini collection on her layout. These mini cardstock pads are so perfect for layouts and if you are a Jenni Bowling fan, you will love these. They have the Jenni Bowlin Studios signature calendar and bingo designs that will core’dinate with all of her gorgeous products and patterned papers as you can see on Kim’s layout.
Each pack consists of four embossed patterns in five colors totally 20 unique sheets in the 4×6″ size.
It looks great with the Black Magic cardstock, doesn’t it?!?! And look at that sweet, sweet photo….

And a detail shot of that sanding. Don’t be afraid to layer your embellishments and even your journaling like Kim did for her layout here. A GREAT IDEA for our journaling challenge!!!! If you didn’t see it, check it out here!

Yipppppeeeeee!
It’s Friday today and we have some fun finds for you today.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
First up is a layout from Sheri Twing’s , well, speaking of FIRSTS…this is FIRST time Sheri used Core’dinations! Can you believe that? The thing that caught our eye about this layout is the subtle sanding on the Black Magic in the upper left hand corner and the complimentary spritzing down at the bottom. The two different techniques play so well off of each other, don’t you think?
Thanks, Sheri!!!
Other supplies used:
Mr. Huey’s spritz, Echo Park for the Record.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And next up is a fun layout from Amy Teets from their first snow. How cool is it that she turned the Cosmo Cricket Woodgrain Core Impressions on it’s side! Such an awesome look and so simple!
Thanks, Amy!!!

And a close up of that FABuLous woodgrain!

Other Supplies used:
Creative Imaginations- Beloved by IOD, The Robins Nest silver dew drops, Magistical Memories- Nesting Circles chipboard, Sew Easy- Misty Morn, Elle’s Studio- Vintage Winter Flashcard, Jenni Bowlin- Vintage Style buttons, Helmar Adhesive Runner, 450 Adhesive and Zapdots.
