Card Design Team call update: We are still narrowing down entries. We are HOPING to have a decision by the end of the week.
This is not an easy process and something we don’t take lightly so we appreciate your patience!
It is going to be GREAT! We always have such a GREAT time doing our cross promotions!
So here is a little taste of some of the Petaloo flowers created specifically to match our papers!!! How much do you love the fact that you have everything that will core’dinate at your finger tips? It makes creating easy AND beautiful!
Melissa used a bunch of Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L on this layout, too! She used the Dodz to adhere the flowers (once these guys go down they aren’t going anywhere!) and some of the 3D foam adhesive for the hand cut flowers that she alternated with the Petaloo flowers. Did you know those hand cut flowers are from our Jillibean Soup Core Impressions pack? Melissa also used some Vintage cardstock (green) and Fancy Pants Core Impressions (yellow) and Core Essentials (pink).
Here is a close up of the Whitewash hearts and the 3d Foam adhesive on the flowers.
And when I mean work it..I mean WORK IT! Get out that Core and get busy
Hope it is a great one. Not sure if you were over at our Facebook page today but we posted a card from Debbie Standard that is all about mixing Core’dinations collections.
And that is what Debbie did here, too! She takes the Black Magic cardstock and pairs it beautifully with some Whitewash. All you need to do is match up the cores..see how Debbie scored the frame on the Black Magic and that pink shows through after it is sanded. Add some Prima, Petaloo and Maya Road goodies and you have one fabulous layout. Notice there isn’t any patterned paper on this layout?
PS…we are working very hard on the Design Team Call applications. At this point we are trying to get it narrowed down by next week. It isn’t easy but we are working at it! So stay tuned!
DON’T FORGET….ONLY 25 MORE HOURS TO GET THOSE CARD DESIGN TEAM APPS IN!!!!
Today we have some layouts for you from Design Team Member Debbie Standard.
Check out the color matching Petaloo flowers Debbie used on this layout in addition to some Spellbinders Dies, Graphic 45 Core Impressions and all that sanding!
And Next up Debbie has another layout for us today. Seriously…what goes better with clouds than our fabulous Whitewash Cardstock?!?!??!
Okay one more week and a day
Calling all Cardmakers … Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock is looking for Card Designers!
Please Note…we edited with some answers to your questions.
We are looking for talented and dedicated cardmakers that can not only create cards but other projects that can show the creative use of pre-made card bases (like our Core Cards
that are pre-cut and scor’d. Think about it like this: if we sent you a pack of our Core Cards
what would you do with them? ), die cuts, and embellishments. We are looking for cards that use all kinds of die cuts…tags, labels, scalloped pieces, hearts, stars etc. Any design, whether you cut it with your own machine or if it is pre-made is fine (so don’t worry if you do not have a die cutting machine you will not need one if chose as part of the team).
- Step One: Design and then post three projects in one posting on your personal blog on or before Friday August 10th at 12:00pm EST titled “Core Cards Creative Frenzy” Keep in mind we are looking for paper crafters that specialize in cardmaking and that can showcase pre-made card bases and die cuts with cards and other unique projects. Feel free to include step out photos or step-by-step instructions of any techniques that you used that you feel need highlighting as we are looking for our designers to be able to create tutorials in PDF format on occasion.
- Step Two: Send us an email with a link to this exact blog posting to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please ensure the link is to “Core Cards Creative Frenzy” posting and not just a link to your blog. It makes it much easier to find, especially if you post frequently on your blog. Please include in your email your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address. Also include a resume of your publications and current design team obligations (if applicable).
- We are also looking for designers that are comfortable creating how-to videos and tutorials as well so please let is us know if this interests you (camera and compensation will be provided).
- If you have any questions about the application process and/or design team requirements, be sure to post them on the Core’dinations’ Facebook page or on this post as they may be questions that several applicants would like answered or email Ellen at email@example.com. New projects or the use of Core’dinations Cardstock is not required but if you have some Core’dinations and would like to create something brand new we would love to see it!
Requirements will be comparable to other papercrafting companies and Core’dinations will compensate with ample product as well as monetary compensation for special projects. Ideally we are looking for designers that have blogs to help with promotional activities (only on occasion) but this is not a requirement so please feel free to send us a link to an online gallery, flickr account, etc.
And, yes of course! International Applicants are welcome!
So why not share a card today in the spirit of cardmaking?!
Design Team member Shaunte Wadley made this gorgeous card using Core’dinations Whitewash
