Today we have a super cute bag from Design Team Member Debbie Standard.
There are so many awesome details on this bag that I would sit down with your morning coffee and get ready to be inspired!
Have you ever printed digital images on your Core? Well, this gorgeous bag is a great example of how Core is your go to cardstock for any project.
Here is a little bit about the bag from Debbie, “The flowers are from the Cuttlebug flower making kit, some are from a tutorial by Heidi Van Lear and then some are free hand cut and I swirled them. The digital images are from Faith over at D2D.” AND Debbie also backed some of the flowers with Petaloo Color Matching flowers.
Debbie used a ton of core on here...Core Essentials, Whitewash (some of the flowers, Cemetery Stone, Spooky House), some Black Magic on the Fence….just a FABULOUS mix of Core on this festive project.

Debbie used our Core Colour Lover’s Challenge for her inspiration. You have until
Monday to get these linked for a chance to win some goooodies!
Tuesday Tutorial from Kim Jeffress

Do you remember as a child creating those little concertina folded friends? Well today we would love to share a project on how to make them using some CORE Essentials and some scraps of pattern papers from Design Team Member Kim Jeffress.
Step 1 Take a sheet of 12×12 Core Essentials cardstock and cut a strip off about 3 inches wide. Concertina fold it (back and forth) so you have four flaps, draw a person on one flap making sure the arms of the person are touching the fold line (this will keep the attached). Cut out around the edge of the drawn image.

Step 2 Unfold your cutout and using a sanding block or sand paper distress the edges of your little friends.

Step 3 Create a dress template from scrap card and then choose 4 co ordinating pattern paper scraps and trace around the dress template on the back of the pattern paper. Cut out.

Step 4 Ink around the dress to add some definition.

Step 5 Glue your dress to each body on your friends and embellish each different using buttons, pearls, lace and bows.

And here they are all dressed up! Add some buttons…flowers and trim and you have the cutest project!

Kim used our October Color Challenge for this project. Still time to enter!!!

Did you know that Core’dinations and Petaloo have a color matching program? We sure do! We did all the hard work so that you can easily match your favorite Core Colors with favorite Petaloo flowers. How easy is that???

Today we have a variety of projects for you.
First up Design Team Member Kim Jeffress with a gorgeous wall hanging. There is nothing like some warm fall colors to brighten up any room.
This project is the perfect example of the Core’dinations and Petaloo color matching program.

And how much do you love the colors of this card from Design Team Member Char Dobson??? Gorgeous gorgeous! I just love Core. You know why? Because you can emboss it on your own or use the Core Impressions like Char did on this card. She embossed a piece of Core Essentials in orange and then used a piece of BasicGrey in Mantis on the bottom. Again…the flowers match perfectly!

And Design Team Member Melissa Oliveira has another fun Fall project for us. She altered a bucket she had lying around the house with some beautiful details. Melissa used her Spellbinders dies in addtion to May Arts Ribbon and Petaloo flowers. The great thing about these flowers is that you can color them! Melissa used Tim Holtz Distress ink on the flowers because they were a little bright for the fall color scheme. Again, just perfect for ANY project.

And Design Team Member Leica Forrest created this soft and feminine layout for us today. Nothing screams little girl like pink , flowers and ribbon! The base is Pink Paislee Core Impressions.

Today we have a special treat for you from Design Team Member Andrea Amu. THIS is how you work Black Magic Cardstock. Just sayin’

And some close-ups. Add some Petaloo flowers and May Arts ribbon and you have a gorgeous project. Andrea also used a piece of Tillie Spotted Core’dinations behind the frame. For the floss-like fibers used in the button ties, Andrea pulled apart the May Arts cording… discarded the white fiber-fill from the inside and just used the flossy threads. COOL!

And one more…

AND IT’S CHRISTMAS HERE AT THE CORE BLOG TODAY!!!!
YES, I said Christmas. It’s holiday time so grab your spiced lattes and sit back and get ready to be inspired. You are going to want to get out those Holiday papers from last year you never used and, of course, Core’dinations Cardstock!!!
Now, did you notice the title of this post? I said “TREE” instead of THREE…and you will see why.
First up we have just the coolest card ever from Design Team Member Shaunte Wadley. I mean….a ribbon tree??? Yes! It’s ribbon, flower and cardstock (Core Essentials to be specific
) heaven here! That is all you need to create gorgeous projects.

And speaking of cool trees…..
Design Team Member Lydia Jackson made a tree out of flowers. How cool is that!? Looks awesome…such a great way to use up those flowers in your stash. And Lydia used ribbon, patterned paper and cardstock (Core’dinations Spotted Tillie Collection) on this layout seemlessly.

Here is a close-up of that tree….LOVE the star out of some Core Whitewash that Lydia sanded.

And here we have a layout from Design Team Member April Derrick. How awesome is that sanded Tim Holtz Kraft-Core????
From the ribbon banners to the flowers off the page…such a festive and FUN layout!

MAKE SURE YOU HEAD OVER TO MAY ARTS AND PETALOO WEBSITES FOR ALL OF YOUR HOLIDAY RIBBON AND FLOWER NEEDS. YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH THESE TWO COMPANIES.

Today is all about Halloween!!!
We have some awesome layouts from our team that celebrate this fun holiday.
Nothing screams Halloween like Goth. Design Team Member April Derrick used some Core’dinations Spotted Tillie Cardstock on this layout along with loads of purple and black ribbon from May Arts and flowers from Petaloo. From the purple ink splats to the ruffled May Arts Satin ribbon….this is one great layout. And that May Arts metallic velvet ribbon adds the perfect sparkle.

Design Team Member Shaunte Wadley designed this layout using Black Magic as her base. Check out all the amazing details!!! Banners, tags, flowers ribbon, tons of sanding
:):) It’s gorgeous! The May Arts Satin Striped ribbon on orange, black and purple that Shaunte used for the photo banner is PERFECT for Halloween. Pair it with some flowers at the end and you have a perfect banner.

Today we have some Thanksgiving and Fall Inspired projects from Design Team Member Melissa Oliveira.

Melissa used her Fiskars Paper Crimper for this tag…

Let’s talk about these flowers and leaves. First off the cluster is awesome. Add some cool vintage buttons from your stash and you have a gorgeous embellishment. And did you notice the leaves are May Arts ribbon? Melissa cut them into leaf shapes and then held them near a flame (PLEASE be careful if you try this at home) to melt the edges so they won’t fray. And it just gives is a really cool, rustic look. Add some ink to your Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions after you sand it to help accent the different colors in your layout.
