St Patty’s Day layout featuring Tim Holtz Shattered Cardstock

So how about a St. Patricks’ Day layout featuring Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Shattered Cardstock.

This entire layout is  Shattered cardstock except for: the Core Tags (journaling) Glitter Silk (Shamrocks, title) Core Couture (pennants).  Loving that scoring detail around the edges?  Break out your Scor-Pal. It’s easy and looks GREAT!  Remember to Scor from the back and sand the front for that great detail.

Shaunte used gold ink and rubbed it into the lighter shade of the Shattered cardstock. This detail shot shows the gold color it turned the cardstock, and seeped down into the cracks. I sprayed it with glitter spray too. Never too much bling, right?!!? And love how Shaunte makes these flags with the Queen & Co. washi!!!!

LOVE IT! Hope this inspires you to scrap those St Patty’s day layouts!

All you need is some Vintage Core’dinations, Glitter Silk Cardstock , Gemstones and an old frame and you have all you need to make your very own Shadow Box!

Andrea die cut the hearts for flowers from her Cricut, added some Queen & Co. pearls,  and wrapped the stems in twine. Backing the title is a GREAT way to make it pop, too!   Layer bits and pieces of the project to added depth. This is a great way to create your very own home decor for any holiday or season!

And GUESS what???!?!?!?!!?

OUR DESIGN TEAM CALL IS POSTED HERE!

CHECK OUT! You don’t want to miss the opportunity to design with the BEST cardstock!

Tim Holtz Shattered as is…

We have been talking about our BRAN NEW Tim Holtz KRaft-Core Shattered line a lot lately and today Designer Melissa Oliveira has a super sweet layout for you. And she uses the No. 1 for her background. Make sure you check out the detail shots so you can get the idea of how great this cardstock looks up close.

So, even though inking it and embossing it is a lot of fun, you can still use it as your go to cardstock for backgrounds in lieu of patterned paper.

Some products from our partners:  Lifestyle crafts: embossing folders (for banners beside photo) and doily die cut (to the left of photo),petaloo: paper flowers, Queen& Co: pearls and  Fiskars: paper crimper and border punches

Happy Monday!

Core’dinations Cardstock!

Today we have some layouts for you featuring our very fun shiney and sparkley collections….Glitter Silk and Gemstones ! Two of my FAVES! Who am I kidding?  All Core’dinations cardstock is my favorite! :)

These first TWO layouts are with our 6×6 paper pads! Cardmakers and scrapbookers will love these lines. Our same great cardstock just sized smaller for mini albums and cards.

How about a Glitter Silk layout from Shaunte Wadley…Shaunte used her Lifestyle Crafts die cuts for all the hearts.  This cardstock cuts beautifully!!!

A Gemstones layout by Andrea Amu. Andrea embossed the Gemstones and then inked it…Looks cool!

And another Gemstone layout  from Shaunte but this time in the 12×12:

Keep in mind these two lines do NOT have a sandable  finish.

We LOVE sketches….do you?

February 1, 2013 by Ellen

Since February is the month of LOVE…we thought, why not share of love of sketches with everyone?!?!?!

A HUGE thank you to designer Lydia Jackson for creating this sketch for us.  It’s got everything you need to create a gorgeous layout, don’t you agree?

Now let’s see Lydia’s layout. Don’t you love the tone on tone sanding for the journaling block? And the label journal strips are such an easy way to ensure you get those memories on the page, too.  For tips on how to create those check out the video here. And accenting the hearts along the bottom with one embossed, sanded heart is the perfect accent. SO many possibilities with this sketch.

Now…it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t give something away now would it???

We would LOVE to give one person a Core prize pack for completing this challenge. Link your layout or card back to THIS post  or Share it on our FACEBOOK page by February 28th, 2013. It must be visible that you used the sketch as inspiration. You must use Core’dinations Cardstock  on the project and at least ONE Core technique. For some inspiration, HERE is a list to our technique videos.  You know we LOVE anything that shows off the cool Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock!

Quick and Easy Birthday Cards

We love quick and easy around here. And using Core’dinations Cardstock makes it simple and elegant.

Designer Lydia Jackson has a few cards for us today. Emboss, sand, add some October Afternoon goodies, SRM stickers, May Arts Ribbon and Voila! You have some great birthday cards.  Oh and a few Queen & Co pearls for that sparkle!

And for this card Lydia uses all her scraps! Notice the yellow stars she randomly adhered over the embossed image?  They are the punched stars from the yellow strip.
