Today we have another Designer Spotlight featuring Kim Moreno! We wanted to showcase each of our outgoing Design Team Members over the next few weeks with some of their favorite Core’dinations Projects. Here is Kim’s blog if you want to go check it out, she has some amazing project on there, too.
Kim Moreno’s attention to detail is amazing. Look at the gorgeous hand cut detail on this layout using the Basic Grey Ornate Core Impressions Collection:

Happy Tuesday Tutorial to you!
Have you ever gone on a trip and have more photos than you know what to do with? You’ve already scrapped an album worth of pages and maybe even made a mini album, too, but you still have TONS of photos that you still didn’t use. What do you do with them? Pack them away? Well today Design Team Member Ellen Sosnoski has a simple tutorial on how to make a decorative envelope with Basic Grey Whimsy Core Impressions cardstock for you to share with friends and family.
You can use any envelope as a template or create you own. Please note: I practiced on a piece of Core Essentials cardstock and then recreated the final project out of the Basic Grey Core Impressions.
By using a pre-made envelope that just peals apart, all you need to do is Score directly over the folded lines.
And add your adhesive:
And you have an envelope! The great thing about Core’dinations is that is sturdy cardstock that is perfect for this kind of project.
Here are some photos of the finished product using Basic Grey Core Impressions. The flap was a little short so just add some additional pieces of cardstock or patterned paper.
Embellish with your favorite Basic Grey Cardstock stickers and use brads for closures:
Here is a close-up of the scoring and folding:
And look how many photos it can hold!
