Good Morning!

We are here with Day THREE of our Blog Week with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L! Hope you are having as much fun as we are.

Today Design Team Member Andrea Amu has a really cool card for us. Don’t just take one look at this…keep looking at those close-ups!

Andrea used  Core’dinations White Wash collection and Snowflake white Core Essentials cardstock along with the Baby Boy collection from Bella Blvd.
The 3L product used for this project included:
- 3L Thin 3D Foam Squares to add slight dimension to the patterned paper accents added to the card, as well as the sticker and washi tape badge embellishing.
- 3L White Photo Corners.
- 3L 3D Dodz, used to attach the button the the “O”.
- 3L My Stik applicator E-Z Dots for general adhesive.
(for a list of all of these prodcuts check it out here at http://www.scrapbook-adhesives.com/)
Here is a little bit about this project from Andrea herself,
“I embossed the Snowflake Core with a Darice Plaid embossing folder and added color to the embossing with a Tim Holtz Distress Ink pad in Broken China.  I then added extra dimensional lines to the plaid with some Aleene’s Paper Glaze dimensional medium.  After the lines completely dried, I went in and accenting color to the textured lines with some pearlized Smooch Ink in Sundance and Azure.”
You can totally see how she sanded the white wash and then added all that cool color in the stripes.
Check out all those layers!!!!

COOL, huh?!?!

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Day TWO!

Today we are here with Design Team Member Char Dobson. Char’s Tueseday tip for you is all about  the CD pocket. They are acid free and archival safe so perfect for any project.  And self-adhesive so just peal off the back!

Yes…we are in LOVE with these! I love the sentiment that Char uses…wonder what is on that CD?

And the other side:

Other supplies:  Bella Blvd stickers, May Arts ribbon, Ranger Distress ink
And Char created a card for us today, too. Love how Char combines purple with the natural jute and burlap flower from May Arts.
Notice the metal embellishments, too?  You need some GREAT adhesive for these kinds of embellishments, especially on a card that will be open and closed. That is why we love our Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L power tape.
Char’s next Tuesday  Tip is …..don’t be afraid to emboss those Core Cards!  Just emboss the front by sliding it in to your folder. They are perfectly sized A2 Cards that will fit right in your standard embossing folders like this one from Provocraft.
Other Core’dinations used : Kraft CoreCut & Emboss

The sun is shining…vacations are happening…AND it’s baseball season!!!

Isn’t this the cutest little guy you’ve ever seen?  Design Team Member Debbie Standard used loads of Bella Blvd goodies on here in addition to some Vintage Core Cardstock (base) and Cosmo Cricket Core Impressions (Dots)  and a fabulous Core tag!

And how much do you love that star?  They are so so easy to make. Cut out a star with any kind of diecutting machine or even free hand it. Then turn it over and score from point to point and then sand the front! Remember to always scor from the back so the raised image is on the front to sand. For more tips on scoring check out our videos here.

And make sure you check to see if you are a winner!

Bella Blvd posted their winners here and ours were posted here.

Today Design Team Member Debbie Standard created some gorgeous layouts for you.

For this first layout Debbie created pairing up her Bella goodies with some Fancy Pants Core Impressions.  LOVE the different patterns that Debbie mixed here…

And..yep! You guessed it….Debbie did an album using Bella Blvd products and Core. That’s all you need for one fabulous album.  For this first layout, Debbie used a bit of the Jillibean Soup Core Impressions.

I have to say I think our Spotted Collection goes amazingly with Bella Blvd. AND it comes in 6×6 and 12×12!!!

Take a close look at the scallops going down the left-hand side of the layout. Debbie punched circles (you could easily cut them with a die-cut machine as well) embossed them and then lined them up to look like scallops!

Just add sanding and a monkey ;)

Gosh the Bella  Blvd chipboard shapes are the CUTEST!

And this Darice embossing folder with the clouds just awesome. You will love it…I know our Design Team has been using it 24/7 since they got their hands on it.

LOVE the Bella Blvd stickers. They make great accents to any papercrafting project…check out how our team used them below!

And don’t forget to check out yesterday’s Core’dinations post for a chance to win some Glitter Silk Cardstock! Remember..to win the Bella Blvd giveaway you must comment over on their blog here.

So…let’s get started!

First up we have some layouts and cards from Design Team Member Kim Jefress.

Love this idea that Kim does…she embosses, sands, and  then splatters some paint on it.

Kim ROCKED the Darice embossing folders. We just love them..on this layout she used the Gears folder and just love all the amazing little details Kim does on her layout including the Bella Blvd photo corner just turned on an angle a bit and how she repeats that shape in the orange Core Essentials.

And remember that Glitter Silk giveaway from yesterday?  Kim uses it beautifully on this card…the white might be my FAVE!

And..we have a layout from Design Team Member Char Dobson. Char rocks her Cricut and loving the waves on this layout as a background. Char did loads of sanding here and distressed the orange cardstock for some added texture. Love all those colors against the brown.

We are here ALL WEEK LONG with Bella Blvd and couldn’t be more excited.  Our team has create some really gorgeous   projects showing off just how great Core’dinations Cardstock goes with the beautiful Bella products. From fabulous patterned papers …to alpha letters …to super fun decorative tape…Bella Blvd. has  products for every paper crafter.

So sit back, relax, and get ready to be inspired. Our Design Teams have worked hard for you! If you were here yesterday than you saw some gorgeous layouts from Design Team Member Shaunte Wadley.

We would LOVE it {and I know they would, too} if you could head over to their Facebook page and give them a great big “HI!” from us and the Bella Blvd blog is looking mighty fine, too! Head over there and check out all the gorgeous projects their team has been cooking up this week. You won’t be disappointed.

And are you ready for our FIRST giveaway?  Get commenting on THIS post to win a Core Prize pack including some of this silky smooth cuts like butter Glitter Silk cardstock….

Tuesday’s Tip comes from Design Team Member Lydia Jackson. Lydia pretty much created an entire baby album with Bella and Core. What is so great about this is that it EASY! You have all of your coordinating Bella Blvd embellishments, papers, and alphas AND now you know that our Core Cardstock matches PERFECTLY! I don’t know about  you, but having all of that at my fingertips makes creating a unified (and super cute) baby album EASY! Not to mention I have always LOVED Bella Blvd chipboard shapes and pieces.

Let’s check out what Lydia did…she created her own patchwork background with different pieces of Core Essentials and different embossed patterns. Don’t forget to print right on that Core! Gosh this baby boy line is SO CUTE.

And another layout for this super cute baby boy album…Lydia used some Fancy Pants Core Impressions along with some Core Essentials and Core Tags. LOVE that piece of tape right over the photo.

And next up we have a Tuesday Tutorial for you from Design Team Member Andrea Amu using the very cool Designer Tape from Bella Blvd that we have all fallen deeply and passionately in love with here at Core. She cut it on her Cricut…SO COOL!  Here is a little bit about this project in her own words, “I added a strip of the yellow chevron designer tape from Bella Blvd to a scrap of yellow Brights Core Essentials and I used my Cricut to diecut 1/2″ alphas (Lyrical Letters Cricut cart – Jack Sprat font).   I also folded some of the paper tape into tabs and used them on the neck of the giraffe diecut which was cut from some yellow WhiteWash Core.  I embossed the giraffe (Cricut New Arrival cart – cut at 6″) with a Sizzix animal print folder, sanded the spots and went in and added some extra brown tones with a Ranger ink pad and the Ranger blending tool.”

LOVE it! What do you think?

The blending looks so great on the giraffe. By embossing, then sanding and then adding the ink really makes it look realistic and adds another layer of depth. But remember…emboss, sand and THEN ink.
