And don’t forget…we have a prize up for grabs this week! Some Fancy Pants Core Impressions!
First up today we have a gorgeous card from Designer Clare Buswell and here is how she did it:
Make card from cardstock. Cover top half of card with blue Core’dinations cardstock, sand edges using Sand-It Gadget and wipe with Dust Buddy. Stamp sentiment. Stamp clouds onto Tillie dot cardstock, fussy cut and adhere to card. Stamp pinwheels, color with Distress Markers, fussy cut and attach to card. Repeat stamp flowers, color with Distress Markers, fussy cut, trim and adhere to card. Fold piece of green Core’dinations cardstock, fringe edge with scissors to create grass effect, emboss using Gridlock embossing folder, sand and adhere to card with foam tabs. Attach baker’s twine, to finish.
And a card from Designer Debbie Standard featuring loads of Core and some of the cool background stamps from Lawn Fawn.
Some Tim Holtz Kraft Core and the sharp backdrops:
and using the interlocking backdrops with some Chocolate Box…loooove the subtle look of this. Debbie added some May Arts ribbon to both of her cards and a David Tutera Celebrate cardmaking system sentiment. These are GREAT if you don’t have a sentiment stamp that fits your needs.

Happy Wednesday Everyone! Today we have some gorgeous gorgeous creations from Designer Vivian Keh. She creates the most gorgeous rolled flowers! And then there is a layout…some Chocolate Box cardstock from the Fancy Pants Core Impressions line ….something for EVERYONE today! And a detail of that flower…SWOOOOOON!Hello Core’dinations fans! Vivian here today to share with you an elegant floral card using a muted palette of Core’dinations Cardstock. I used a warm beige from the Core’dinations Jenni Bowlin “Everyday” Collection for my card base, sanding the decorative leaf pattern already conveniently pre-embossed in this cardstock. I layered an elegant grey from the Neutral Collection that I had embossed with a great Sizzix embossing folder. For the blossom, I die-cut and sanded the pieces for nice shabby appeal, piercing with a simple brad to hold the bloom together. To finish, I added a bit of distress ink on all pieces, some bling and pretty seam binding.
Hope you enjoyed my project today, and thanks for looking! For more of my inspirations, please visit me on my blog!

Need a wedding card? Look no further!I love the aqua/ chocolate brown color pairing in just about everything, from papercrafts to home decor – both fresh and comforting. For today’s project, I used Core’dinations Fancy Pants Designs”Refreshed” Collection, which delivers that comforting chocolate embossed in a variety of designs as well as your pick of pretty pastels that are also pre-embossed. This makes for great papercrafted projects in a variety of themes.
I sanded all the layers and die-cuts and added distress ink to the edges. The sentiment was stamped using watermark ink and then heat embossed with embossing powder. Just a little bit of embellishment and this card was done.Supplies:Core’dinations – Fancy Pants Core Impressions “Refreshed” Collection, Venetian Lace (Cream Color) Cardstock, Sand-It Gadget, Dust BuddySizzix – Bigz Die “Butterflies and Labels”Hampton Art – “Happily Ever After” Clear Stamp SetTim Holtz – Distress Ink

I chose several bold colors from Core’dinations Darks Collection, which have great grounding colors that are perfect for masculine projects. As you can see in the detail shot, there is so much easy interest one can create with Core – die-cut it, paper-punch it, sand it, tear it, emboss it, crimp it, distress it, stamp it. All of these were used in this layout. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination! The story of how my husband and I met is really special. And both of us still can’t believe how serendipitous our meeting truly was. Hence, the “when pigs fly” stamping on my background, using the great kraft side of our Tim Holtz Kraft Core Cardstock with a simple black ink. His smile, and humorous personality brought levity to the rather challenging moment in our lives captured here on film. I simply layered a bunch of Core elements on top of a piece of old book paper, topping off with a little bling and some scrunched up mulberry paper that I had misted.Supplies:Core’dinations – Darks Collection, Tim Holtz Kraft Core, Venetian Lace (Cream Color), Sand-It Gadget, Dust BuddyDarice – Dominoes Embossing Folder

So…today! What do we have for you today? First up we have some projects from Debbie Standard:
Debbie used loads of Core’dinations Core Essentials, Black Magic and Spotted Cardstock. Love those banner ribbons along the bottom in the May Arts ribbon? So pretty! Coutre Creations products are Fresh and Fun embossging folders and the Fantasia Doily dies (these are gorgeous!!!!).
And Designer Mary Pat Siehl created a fresh winter card for us today as well using some Whitewash and doesn’t the sanding with the Couture Creations Super Powder Puff embossing folder look amazing!? And she accented it with some gemstones, too! Don’t forget about the Couture Creations double sided foam mounting tape…perfect for that dimension on the sentiment.
Here’s a little bit about this card from Mary Pat:
When I saw the embossing folder (Super Powder Puff) my Core brain immediately thought of the Whitewash collection. I thought the two would be perfect together for a nice winter type card. I embossed the cardstock and then lightly sanded it to bring out the beautiful blue color. I then stamped my sentiment on matching cardstock and attached it to my card. I wanted to add a bit of sparkle to the card so I added some sparkle twine and some huge bling gems. I love the soft look.
And if you want to win some Core’dinations awesomeness here’s how:
Only TWO days left of our Design Team introductions! Time flies, doesn’t it?
Before we get started today, we wanted to let you know about ANOTHER fun week next week filled with MORE inspiration, MORE fun and MORE giveaways!!! So don’t go far. If you love Core, stamps and ribbon come back Monday.
Today we are introducing Gail Linder!
My name is Gail Lindner and I live in sunny Queensland, Australia. I have a wonderful, hardworking husband, a beautiful (and energetic) 5 year old daughter and gorgeous 20 month old baby boy.I’ve been scrapbooking for over 12 years now and I can’t imagine my life without it! I started scrapbooking in 1999 on a trip to the USA. I picked up a scrapbooking magazine and the rest is history! I immediately knew it was the hobby for me as it encompasses everything I love – memories, photos, memorabilia and (let’s face it) pretty things! I’m mostly inspired by my photos and the stories I want to tell. I love the idea of conveying my thoughts and experiences in my scrapbooking for my daughter to read in the future. I like to keep my layouts fairly uncluttered and balanced, with the photos the main focus. My style includes lots of distressing, inking, layering and sewing. Apart from scrapbooking I enjoy blogging, organising and shopping (all related to scrapbooking of course!)
Check out her blog here for more fabulous inspiration!
Now, let’s chat about this layout for a second…see those stripes? NOT patterned paper. Nope..those are sanded strips of Black Magic! How cool is that? Here is a little bit about this layout from Gail:
Those stripes in the Black Magic are brilliant!
AND…since we have been all about the Black Magic on Gail’s layout…why don’t we give some away today!
And our winner of the Tim Holtz Kraft Core from yesterday is………………..

Omgosh! That is the most amazing layout!!! I just love the colors and all of that texture!
Today we have new Design Team Member…… Suzanna Lee!
Check out more about Suzanna and her projects on her blog HERE. Here is a little bit about her:
What can I say? I’m just a woman who is obsessed with her husband, her 2 kids, her camera (a Nikon!), living life to the fullest and preserving our memories as we go! Michael and I have been happily married for 14 years. Together we are raising two amazing children—Nikolas, 10, and Mia,almost 7.
I am very diverse when it comes to styles and techniques. I can’t claim any one as a main stay in my projects. I range from clean and simple to layered and packed with little details. The paper and photographs speak to me and I do what feels right. New styles, techniques, products, etc. are some of the major things that offer me inspiration. I am always excited to try new things and new opportunities, in life and with paper crafting.
When I’m not hiding behind my camera or cutting and creating both mess and beauty, I’m a physical therapist. I love what I do and love that it helps fund my hobby and collection! Who needs purses and shoes when you can have paper and embellishments?!
And how much do you loooooove the color combo of this layout??? I just love learning all these random bits about Suzanna.
And some close ups:
Ohhhhhh…embossing! Our 6×6 pads are a great way to add small deatils to layouts….they aren’t just for cards!
Now a little bit about Suzanna’s layout:
Every now and again, I try to do a page about myself. My kids love pouring through the albums and love seeing themselves but I know there will come a time when they will wish there was more of Mum and Dad. I know I love learning the little details of my parents’ lives. This layout served that purpose as well as sharing a little bit about myself with you. Random bits about Suzanna Lee. I literally wrote the first 5 thoughts that came to mind. I did say random! I also wanted to showcase how amazing core is! There is one piece of patterned paper on this page, the majority of the paper is Core of one type or another. All those different lines come together as a cohesive whole! Amazing!
