And of course…our blog! And for inspiration here today, we have a project from Design team Member Shaunte Wadley.

Shaunte is using the London Cling stamp set from Stampendous’s BRAND NEW summer release! For more products you MUST check out their new products here. All week long it is our plan to show you new products!

Pair this fun London stamp set with some gorgeous Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions from the Black and Red collection (that label shape is still an all time favorite of mine!!!) and you have an awesome layout.

Shaunte did something really cool here, too.  She stamped a core’dinating image on some scrap Core and then punched it with her circle punch.

How cool is that?!?!  Adds dimension and some fun detailing of all the gorgeous Stampendous Glitter that we all know and LOVE!

Remember to stay close and comment all week long on all the blogs for more chances to WIN, WIN, WIN!

So who is next up on the list of inspiration? Make sure you comment here and these blogs for your best chance of winning some awesome goodies from Core and Stampendous.  If you have ever gotten a goodie box from us, well, you know it’s worth it!

We are living it up here with Team KNK!

BUT before we get started. PLEASE head over and make sure you are entered to WIN  OUR $300 GIVEAWAY FROM THE BRAND NEW DAVID TUTERA CELEBRATE LINE!!! Contest ends 10/19 so not much time left!

It is the perfect time of year to bust out some Black Magic and do some Halloween projects. If you have been here this week you will have seen some great techniques on Monday’s and Tuesday’s Post.  Today is the last day Michele is cookin’ up designs for us in her labratory (or you could call it a craft room). And today we are switching it up using something other than Black Magic cardstock but don’t worry…you can still win some!

We have a really cool technique to share with you today AND all week long from the team over at KNK.   Here is a little bit more about the Klic -N- Kut:

Klic-N-Kut computerized cutting systems are top-of-the line digital die cutters. KNKUSA.com has a great selection of machines to choose from. These machines can cut everything from vinyl to rhinestone rubber, from paper to chipboard, from thin cotton fabric to stiffened felt.  Each machine comes with the choice of KNK Studio or Make The Cut!, two vector designing programs rich in functionality. For more information check them out HERE. And make sure you stick around for a chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate!

SO…if you were here earlier this week you will know there are a few ways to win: We are giving away a pack of Black Magic here at the Core blog or on our Facebook page  AND the KNK Blog or  their Facebook page HERE! (Winners chosen this weekend) So head over there NOW!!!!!!

AND there is a  $50 KNK USA gift certificate from Team KnK, too!  Can you believe it?  All winner will be random so make sure you get those comments posted! We will pick winners Monday.

AND…we aren’t done yet! Make sure you head over to the Team KNK blog for the  Grim Reaper, Frankenstein, AND Dragon Eye  freebie file all week long, too!

Here it is without the back lighting. Cool, huh?  Now…you will see that it looks a bit rough when she peeled it. That is okay. Michele was going for this look BUT you can sand it away with your Sand It Gadget to smooth it out. It really is about which look you prefer.

So today’s design comes from the very SPOOKY Frankenstein.

It’s all about the cut.

Here are some tips for cut settings:
Use  vinyl settings as a starting point on both the Maxx and the Zing,
with your blade protruding slightly less than the thickness of the paper.
This, combined with the low pressure, results in cutting only through that
top layer of the card stock. Then use a piercing tool to peel away the
black where I’d cut the design. See above.
KNK Maxx:  250 v and 38 f
KNK Zing:  10 v and 15 f
So you can see from this shot, the key is not going through the cardstock all the way. Just cut that top layer and using a cut like you would for Vinyl ( a much thinner medium) will only allow the blade to go through the top layer. Again…if you are using a different cutting machine than you will need to experiment.

Here are a few sneaks of the pealing process.

See that little piece that is kind of rough?  Well just sand it and it will smooth it out so it looks just like the rest of the green core.

Yesterday we got a comment about how do you dislpay these when they are back lit? So if you don’t have a black light of sorts than you can put them on your window! How cool is that?!?!?

Here is the look Frankenstein all spoooooky with his back light. And don’t be afraid to sand the part that is black like Michele did here with his neck.

So to recap:

So….how do you win this week?

BOTH the KNK blog AND the Core blog will be giving away a pack of Black Magic to one lucky winner! So comment here and there all week long for a chance to win.

AND they have FREEEEEEEE  Halloween files  created specifically for use with Core’dinations card stock available in AI, GSD, KNK, MTC, SVG, and WPC !!!!!!!!!!!!  HOW COOL IS THAT??!?!?!  You need to head over to their blog to get those.  These are the images you will see on the blog this week.

AND…yes…there is MORE…

a Team KNK- $50 KNK USA gift certificate, too. Can you believe it?  All winner will be random so make sure you get those comments posted!

Work it Wednesday, Baby!

Happy Wednesday!

And when I mean work it..I mean WORK IT! Get out that Core and get busy ;)

Hope it is a great one. Not sure if you were over at our Facebook page today but we posted a card from Debbie Standard that is all about mixing Core’dinations collections.

And that is what Debbie did here, too! She takes the Black Magic cardstock and pairs it beautifully with some Whitewash. All you need to do is match up the cores..see how Debbie scored the frame on the Black Magic and that pink shows through after it is sanded. Add some Prima, Petaloo and Maya Road goodies and you have one fabulous layout. Notice there isn’t any patterned paper on this layout?

PS…we are working very hard on the Design Team Call applications. At this point we are trying to get it narrowed down by next week. It isn’t easy but we are working at it! So stay tuned!
