Happy Tuesday Tutorial!

I just love Tips and Tutorials. Today’s in no exception. Design Team Member Shaunte Wadley created this awesome layout today with her daughter. What better way to preserve memories than having your kids do it with you?!

If you want to see how to do this…keep reading! This is going to be two part series. Today we will be talking about how to make the title and the next part will be how to print on those cool Core Tags!

First, grab some Black Magic Cardstock and a stylus. Have your child press firmly and spell out there name. You can write lightly with a pencil if  you need to but very lightly. The pressure from the stylus will blend it in to the black cardstock.

Also, you need to work on a craft mat of some sort NOT a hard surface.  The stylus needs a soft surface so it can make an impression in the cardstock.

With your Sand It Gadget sand..sand …sand! Notice we are sanding the negative space. Doesn’t it look awesome?!

All you need to do is add some of your children’s art work and you have an awesome layout that not only preserves those memories of your children but truly makes them a part of it.

Other products used: Core Tags, Spotted Collection, Whitewash Cardstock.

Stamping on Pearls Cardstock

Tuesday’s Tip is all about stamping on Pearls Cardstock.

We looove stamping here at Core and our Pearls Cardstock is beautiful…it just has a hit of shimmery/pearlness to it and it is so smooth and just lovely for cardmaking. AND it comes in 8.5×11 so it is perfect for cardmaking!

P.s….did you know that we have an entire Cardmaker Series?

Core Cards….8.5×11…the possibilities are endless!!!!!

Design Team Debbie Standard created this cute cute cute card where she stamped the sentiment right on the Pearls Cardstock.

So today’s Tuesday Tip all about INK. Deciding what kind of ink to use can make all the difference in the world. I would recommend using Stazon or another ink that is not water based because of how smooth this cardstock is. It won’t smear and needs little to no time at all to dry.

And I did some stamping on Pearls on this layout, too. AND if you want to see how to do this cross hatching in the corner, check out the video “We Will Rock You”  HERE!

And her is  a close up of that stamping on the Pearls Cardstock:

So….ready for some inspiration and give-a-ways???? We have TWO for you again today!

Today is all about our Core Impressions Jenni Bowlin Everyday Collection AND Black Magic.

These two lines are so perfect for any paper crafter.  Having some Core Impressions and Black Magic is an essential in your stash.

Let’s start with Design Team Member Char Dobson’s layout. This piece of Whitewash in the classic Country Store design is one of my faves, too! Love how Char sanded it and then inked it. Remember! Use your Dust Buddy after sanding, it will clean up the dust and keep your ink pad clean.

Char also added bits and pieces of the other cardstock in this collection, too. We all {heart} buttons, don’t we??? And that cute little August subtitle above the banner is from the mini pads of the JBS collection.

Next up is some Black Magic. There is something magical about this cardstock, for sure!  You gotta love the outlining technique that Char uses on this cardstock. We have a great video here for more tips!

Since today is Monday we are here with Graphic 45! We have one of these awesome packs for grabs, too! Our Signature Series Cardstock...it’s FabUlous! In the past we have teamed up with Graphic 45 for our Core Impressions and this past summer we debuted the Signature Series. Now you can get the gorgeous Graphic 45 designs on our cardstock AND their “signature” colors! So if you have loads of Graphic 45 sitting at home waiting to be used, this pack of cardstock will match perfectly.

AND of course we are giving one away here!!! Make sure you head over to the Graphic 45 Blog for more chances to win!

AND we always do a little something over on our Facebook page, too, so make sure you check in there often. Graphic 45 has a Facebook page so make sure you go over there and tell them how much you looooove them :):):)

We want you hear how excited you are!

Today we have some gorgeous projects for you! Let’s Start off with a Layout from Design Team Member Shaunte Wadley. So many gorgeous gorgeous details!  Shaunte used loads of Graphic 45 products and anchored the layout  beautifully with some Core Impression in the Black Magic.  Hand cutting that Graphic 45 paper is TOO much fun! Don’t be afraid to use metal accents on your layouts like Shaunte did here with the flowers from the Graphic 45 Staples.

Next up we have a mini album from Design Team Member  Lydia Jackson.  Lydia created this mini as a gift for a friend. What better way to share the Graphic 45 love than with the most important people in our lives?  It is the perfect way to preserve those memories.

There is that cool Door Knob from the Graphic 45 Staples collection. And the Graphic 45 Core Impressions Timeless Collection is, well, TIMELESS! It goes with so many different colors and we just love how Lydia paired it with the blue.

Today we have a super cute bag from Design Team Member Debbie Standard.

There are so many awesome details on this bag that I would sit down with your morning coffee and get ready to be inspired!

Have you ever printed digital images on your Core?  Well, this gorgeous bag is a great example of how Core is your go to cardstock for any project.

Here is a little bit about the bag from Debbie, “The flowers are from the Cuttlebug flower making kit,  some are from a tutorial by Heidi Van Lear and then some are free hand cut and I swirled them. The digital images are from Faith over at D2D.” AND Debbie also backed some of the flowers with Petaloo Color Matching flowers.

Debbie used a ton of core on here...Core Essentials, Whitewash (some of the flowers, Cemetery Stone, Spooky House), some Black Magic on the Fence….just a FABULOUS mix of Core on this festive project.

Debbie used our Core  Colour Lover’s Challenge for her inspiration. You have until

Monday to get these linked for a chance to win some goooodies!
