Here is a little bit about these gorgeous cards from Gail:
First up today we have some fun stuff for you.
So we have some more ideas for you for Father’s Day. Love this idea from Jennifer Edwardson…it can be used for ANY occasion…at tri-fold card! Of course, it is full of tons and tons of gorgeous Core’dinations Cardstock!
Here is a little bit about this project from Jennifer:
I am pretty new to the Silhouette game but have been having so much fun finding new pieces to cut out and turn into great projects !! I loved this folding card and thought it would be great to add a couple of photos to as a gift…..It would look so cute on a shelf, mantle or bedside table too !!
I cut the base using the Kraft-Core Nostalgic Collection (No.23) and then ran either end thru my die cutting machine with swirly embossing folder. Then I sanded off the top layer to show the kraft underneath as well as the edges of the base too. I cut a few more doilies out as well and embossed both sides of the same cardstock and sanded off the top layer to those as well.
I punched a few flowers from some of the Core Essentials that coordinated with my photos and layered all the pieces together finishing them off with a little circle punched from my fave Core Couture in Black Tie. I added a couple of Core Couture butterflies and some clear gems from the David Tutera Celebrate collection too !! I really love how this all came together and can’t wait to give this to the kids’ grandparents 🙂
Can you believe March is upon this week? Don’t forget about our Northridge giveaway! We have a ONE YEAR sub to giveaway and you only have until to enter to win!
Don’t miss out!
Today we have a card for you from Design Team Member Debbie Standard featuring our Core Amour…loving the pop of green with the black and white!
Some more Tim Holtz Shattered Collection layouts! This line was a HUGE hit at CHA…you are going to LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
A layout from Designer April Derrick:
Check out the fun folded card we learned from Guest Designer Leeann Pearce AND see that cool postage stamp layer in the Kraft? YEP…that is from the David Tutera Celebrate cardmaking system Step two. We LOVE mixing and matching these collections!
And another postage stamp layer from the David Tutera line. Told ya we liked ’em! 🙂
On this layout, Designer April Derrick used her Tim Holtz Distress Stain in Chipped Saphire by Ranger and inked the Shattered cardstock. See how the stain just soaks up in the cracks and turned blue??!?!?!? HOW COOL IS THAT??? And she embossed some of it too (the layer under the photo). So many possibilities!
Stay tuned for more ideas on is BRAND NEW Line that we debuted at CHA 2013 featuring Tim Holtz-Kraft Core!
And when I mean work it..I mean WORK IT! Get out that Core and get busy 😉
Hope it is a great one. Not sure if you were over at our Facebook page today but we posted a card from Debbie Standard that is all about mixing Core’dinations collections.
And that is what Debbie did here, too! She takes the Black Magic cardstock and pairs it beautifully with some Whitewash. All you need to do is match up the cores..see how Debbie scored the frame on the Black Magic and that pink shows through after it is sanded. Add some Prima, Petaloo and Maya Road goodies and you have one fabulous layout. Notice there isn’t any patterned paper on this layout?
PS…we are working very hard on the Design Team Call applications. At this point we are trying to get it narrowed down by next week. It isn’t easy but we are working at it! So stay tuned!
