And don’t forget…we have a prize up for grabs this week! Some Fancy Pants Core Impressions!
First up today we have a gorgeous card from Designer Clare Buswell and here is how she did it:
Make card from cardstock. Cover top half of card with blue Core’dinations cardstock, sand edges using Sand-It Gadget and wipe with Dust Buddy. Stamp sentiment. Stamp clouds onto Tillie dot cardstock, fussy cut and adhere to card. Stamp pinwheels, color with Distress Markers, fussy cut and attach to card. Repeat stamp flowers, color with Distress Markers, fussy cut, trim and adhere to card. Fold piece of green Core’dinations cardstock, fringe edge with scissors to create grass effect, emboss using Gridlock embossing folder, sand and adhere to card with foam tabs. Attach baker’s twine, to finish.
And a card from Designer Debbie Standard featuring loads of Core and some of the cool background stamps from Lawn Fawn.
Some Tim Holtz Kraft Core and the sharp backdrops:
and using the interlocking backdrops with some Chocolate Box…loooove the subtle look of this. Debbie added some May Arts ribbon to both of her cards and a David Tutera Celebrate cardmaking system sentiment. These are GREAT if you don’t have a sentiment stamp that fits your needs.
Staedtler, pigment liner pen, black 0.5
Not sure about you but wedding season is in full swing for us in the summer and today Designer Gail Linder has some gorgeous engagement cards for you today. Gail mixes and matches our cardstock brilliantly! Glitter Silk and Chocolate Box? Fabulous!
Here is a little bit about these gorgeous cards from Gail:
Hi Everyone! Ellen here today with a Father’s Day card I made…well two of them. And they are very different! I was inspired this week by two different things.
First up, I was working with some Couture Creations dies and after my cut I realized unfortunately that my sandwich was wrong. So it didn’t cut all the way through. That happens to me from time to time and I just put them in my recycle bin. WEll not this this time! I thought…I can do something with that…and I did! You have to check out their Doily dies..they are AWESOME! And versatile….
There was no way I could cut this with craft knife because it was too detailed so I grabbed my Sand it Gadget and I sanded and sanded and sanded a bit more and the “etched” image created starts to pop off the card. It’s subtle but I think it works AND I saved some scraps
Aly Dosdal from the WRMK Design Team originally did the video so I had to try it out because I just KNEW that Core w0uld be awesome with this tutorial. I used Core Essentials for the shirt, Chocolate Box for the tie and background and a David Tutera Celebrate card for the base. I cannot get enough of these square cards! For the original video check out the WRMK blog .
I gotta tell you…I did it on the FIRST try so it wasn’t that hard. You will need your Scor-Pal or scoring tool of some sort.
And here is the inside of the card. You can open it up and put something in there.
Any old but goodie!
Designer Melissa Oliveria created this layout for us today. Banners never get old, do they?
The cupcake banner was created by embossing and sanding several 1″ strips of Core Essentials cardstock, then trimming a “v” shape at one end of each strip. A punched, sanded Whitewash border was added to each flag before adhering to the layout using foam dots. The base is Pink Paislee Core Impressions…just a little sanding goes a long way!
And I just heard that the NEW Design Team is 99.99% finalized. So stay tuned for the announcement!!!!!!!!!!!
We have a big HUGE week schedule for you! Mark your calendars! Inspiration….prizes….STAMPING (EEEEK!), Core’dinations! What could be better??!?!!?!?
AND WE HAVE OUR VERY OWN EVENT PAGE! How cool is that? We can chat, share projects, give away stuff :0
AND next week we have Valentine’s Day project for you all week long!
Happy Hump Day!
Today we have some projects from Designer Andrea Amu. As usual Andrea works her Cricut and the Core…so many amazing details so grab that coffee and sit back and enjoy!
And how about some ch-ch-ch-chevron?! The Core Impressions Pink Paislee Modern Prints collection has tons of great chevron prints. Swooooon! Andrea used the backside of the Chocolate Box and inked it for the first layer and then cut out pieces of the chevron and sanded every other one, too! Add a stamped sentiment and you are good to go. Love it!
