I think my new favorite color is white…is that possible?!?!?
Shaunte Wadley created these beauties for us today…wowzas! Creating dramatic monochromatic projects is so easy with Core because you can mix and match the different lines for some sparkle…emboss for some texture and you have the perfect card. For each card, I listed the lines she used so you can look closely and see beautiful details. Little things like different embossed layers, pearls and stitching make all the difference.
For more monochromatic ideas check out a post we did a few weeks ago HERE.
Card One is the simpliest with a David Tutera Cardmaking system white smooth cardbase, Core Essentials white, and the butterfly is Core Couture.
Card two: start with a David Tutera Cardmaking system white cardbase and emboss it. Then add a strip of Core Couture with die cut letters, then emboss some Core Essentials white in another strip. Stitch together. Then add butterflies laong the top in Glitter Silk and a strip along the bottom from Step 3 of the David Tutera Celebrate Cardmaking system.
Again, starting with a David Tutera Celebrate cardmaking system smooth white cardbase, emboss a layer in white Core Essentials. Adhere with Helmar Zap dotsafter punching a hole in the side, add white heart on a string from Glitter Silk Cardstock, finish by creating some embossed strips along the bottom with scalloped pieces, an embossed strip from Core Couture and a banner created using a Dymo Label maker.

Let’s say howdy to Jennifer Edwardson!
Hey everyone, i’m Jennifer Edwardson and like most, I began scrapbooking shortly after the birth of my daughter in 2000 and never looked back. I’ve been creative my whole life and loved back to school shopping the most….all the paper and crayons and color – love, love loved it !!
Shortly after my 2nd child was born …. (like REALLY shortly – he was just 9 mos. old – CRAZY !!!) …. I decided it’d be cool to open a business, so I did…….and have had my own successful LSS since 2006.
I am so fortunate to get to do what I love every day …… I have extensive instruction and design experience that has allowed me to travel and share my passion with many. My work has been featured on manufacturers blogs as a Guest Designer, i’ve created projects for CHA, have been a member of the Bella Blvd. Design Team for the past 2 years, am on the David Tutera Celebrate Design Team, am an American Crafts Certified Instructor and now cannot wait to share my creativity with you during my time on the new Core’dinations Design Team (yep – super EXCITED !!)
When I am not running the day to day operations of my business or designing a fun new workshop, you can find me spending time with my husband, Scott, children Emma and Alex, our 2 crazy puppies and our horses on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada !!

Good Tuesday Morning!

And we have our Sketch Winner, too! Kerrie Gurney come on down! We have a Core prize pack for you!
Donna & Kerrie..email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, address and phone number by March 15th to claim your prize.
So how about Tuesday’s tip? I created this layout about our yearly St Patty’s Day parade. We go every year and just love, love it. It’s in a small town near us and it is CrAzY! The boys love it…they love the necklaces and the candy they get. I, of course, love the bagpipes. For this layout I used some Core Cuts, Core Couture, Spotted, Brights, Stacy Julian Core Impressions and Whimsy Core Impressions from BasicGrey.
I know we have said this a gazillion times before but it is amazing how EASILY our collection packs Core’dinate!
So what is the tip? I have a few for you today
1.) After distressing your edges, use a dark contrasting color to ink like I did here with black. I love the way it looks against the pink Core Couture cardstock.
2.) Use pre-embossed cardstock, like our Core Impressions lines or Step two layers from David Tutera Celebrate, for your die cuts. It is so so easy! It is just one less step then embossing them yourself.
I used Lifestyle Crafts dies for this layout.
And my last tip is…..
3.) Use of the large tags from Step 3 David Tutera Celebrate cardmaking system for a journaling tag. One of our smaller tags wasn’t big enough for what I wanted to say so I reached for one of these. Plus the cardstock is smooth.
Please note the Stacy Julian Cardstock is no longer available as it has been discontinued. Stamps are Lawn Fawn, Ink by Memento, tickets are Maya Road and misc buttons from my stash, Glue Arts adhesive.
AND DON’T FORGET ABOUT OUR DESIGN TEAM CALL HERE!!!!!!!! ONLY TWO WEEKS LEFT TO ENTER!!!!
Didn’t win this time? Don’t forget about about our $100 David Tutera giveway HERE!
So how about a St. Patricks’ Day layout featuring Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Shattered Cardstock.
This entire layout is Shattered cardstock except for: the Core Tags (journaling) Glitter Silk (Shamrocks, title) Core Couture (pennants). Loving that scoring detail around the edges? Break out your Scor-Pal. It’s easy and looks GREAT! Remember to Scor from the back and sand the front for that great detail.
Shaunte used gold ink and rubbed it into the lighter shade of the Shattered cardstock. This detail shot shows the gold color it turned the cardstock, and seeped down into the cracks. I sprayed it with glitter spray too. Never too much bling, right?!!? And love how Shaunte makes these flags with the Queen & Co. washi!!!!
LOVE IT! Hope this inspires you to scrap those St Patty’s day layouts!
Sit back, grab that coffee and relax..we have a few updates for you today!

This Tuesday’s Tip is to break out that Glitter Silk for St Patty’s Day. As you can see, we love our GS here ..it was great for Valentine’s Day and we are STILL using it in March!
Gosh, it looks beautiful embossed, doesn’t it? Pair it with some Core Couture and you have a festive card.
It has been a crazy few weeks so we are finally back on track with a Tuesday Tip!
