“Opening Day” Layout with Core Tags

I love the Core Tags. They are so much fun. I love making them the center of my layout as well as turning them into embellishments for my page. In this layout I chose to use 3 tags. I used a medium white Core Tag as well as 2 tags from the Darks collection. One was the perfect place to write my title. This tag is a focal point on the layout and the other two I used them embellishments on my layout.

Hello, Ava here  to welcome you to the blog today.  I have a non-traditional colored card to share with you for the end of the summer season. Our Glitter Silk is GREAT for cards because the backside is smooth white so when it’s folded, you can still personalize the inside.

Supplies:
Step 1.  Start with making your card base at 6×6 and trim the front panel of the card back about 2 inches.
Step 2.  Emboss, sand cardstock, mat and adhere both pieces to card base.
Step 3.  Stamp image, spray water, blend ink, trim cardstock, mat image panel with purple and black mats.  Adhere panel to card.
Step 4.  Stamp sentiment onto cardstock, trim, distress edges and adhere sentiment onto card.
Step 5.  Heat set I-rock jewels to stamped card panel and adhere bow to card.

Mary Pat here with you today and I have a fun summer layout to share with you. On the layout I used one of my all time favorite Core’dinations Techniques- Tearing!

Supply list:

To create the beautiful looking “ocean” background I took 3 different shades of blue Core’dinations cardstock and tore the edges and then layered them to create the “ocean” effect. I just love all the texture and dimension this technique creates! I also cut several elements using my Silhouette. Have I told you lately how well the Core’dinations cardstock cuts in the Silhouette? Well, it cuts like BUTTA!

I made a video for you on how this layout came about. I hope you like it!
