So curious to see who is our winner from yesterday??????????

Tona says:

Omgosh! That is the most amazing layout!!! I just love the colors and all of that texture!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today we have new Design Team Member…… Suzanna Lee!
Check out more about Suzanna and her projects on her blog HERE. Here is a little bit about her:
What can I say? I’m just a woman who is obsessed with her husband, her 2 kids, her camera (a Nikon!), living life to the fullest and preserving our memories as we go! Michael and I have been happily married for 14 years. Together we are raising two amazing children—Nikolas, 10, and Mia,almost 7.
I am very diverse when it comes to styles and techniques. I can’t claim any one as a main stay in my projects. I range from clean and simple to layered and packed with little details. The paper and photographs speak to me and I do what feels right. New styles, techniques, products, etc. are some of the major things that offer me inspiration. I am always excited to try new things and new opportunities, in life and with paper crafting.
When I’m not hiding behind my camera or cutting and creating both mess and beauty, I’m a physical therapist. I love what I do and love that it helps fund my hobby and collection! Who needs purses and shoes when you can have paper and embellishments?!
And how much do you loooooove the color combo of this layout??? I just love learning all these random bits about Suzanna.
And some close ups:
Ohhhhhh…embossing! :) Our 6×6 pads are a great way to add small deatils to layouts….they aren’t just for cards!
Now a little bit about Suzanna’s layout:
Every now and again, I try to do a page about myself. My kids love pouring through the albums and love seeing themselves but I know there will come a time when they will wish there was more of Mum and Dad. I know I love learning the little details of my parents’ lives. This layout served that purpose as well as sharing a little bit about myself with you. Random bits about Suzanna Lee. I literally wrote the first 5 thoughts that came to mind. I did say random! I also wanted to showcase how amazing core is! There is one piece of patterned paper on this page, the majority of the paper is Core of one type or another. All those different lines come together as a cohesive whole! Amazing!
Vintage Collection 6×6 and 12×12
Designing with Cari Locken
Today we are sharing some fabulous designs from one of our Special Projects gals. Cari Locken is a leading designer in the industry that has been with Core for years now. She creates special projects for us and she uses Core in her day-to-day creations,  too!
Today we have some layouts to share with you from her that have been featured in leading publications within the industry. She really has an eye for color and really knows how to use Core. From scoring to embossing….you’ll see it here today! Cari really knows how to use that Core Essentials as is or add that perfect pop of technique.
How cool is this masking?  Core and ink go great together! And again…that scoring detail is just perfect.
And one more….
For this layout Cari took the BasicGrey Core Impressions and turned it on its side! Love that kind of detail!
Tuesday’s Tip…Scraps from a Sketch
Hi! Ellen here with my take on Lydia’s sketch. Not much time so hurry up and LINK YOURS HERE or share it on our Facebook page!
My Tuesday Tip is all about scraps so keep reading ;)
And in case you missed it…here is the sketch from Designer Lydia Jackson:
Here are some close ups …the first one is of the BasicGrey Core Impressions and some of the scoring with my Score-Pal:
Next up the butterflies…I like to mix up the embossing folders with the dies.  Folders are a mix of STampin’ Up! And Darice.  Embellies are a mix of Studio Calico and October Afternoon.
AND ..last but not least…
My Tuesday Tip is to use those scraps. Now, if you are  like me you need to do this right away or I end up putting them on a pile in my desk.  So if I don’t use them on a card or another project immediately then I probably won’t.
So here is my card with my left over butterflies. The base is Pink Paislee Modern Prints Core Impressions and the envelope is from Maya Road.  All Adhesives are from 3L and burlap string is from May Arts.
AND we aren’t done yet! Guest Designer Leeann Pearce is here with us again with just the coolest layout! If you are familiar with Leeann’s work she always has uber amounts of texture and depth to her projects and this one is no exceptioan!  All I have to say is that kebab sticks aren’t just for grillin’  Here is a little bit about this layout from her:
Hello core fans…. I hope you are all well after another successful CHA. I hope you are all ready to share the LOVE this month. I am, that’s why today I get to share another fabulous page with you featuring none other than CORE!!!!
I created this page using jenni Bowlin core collection – I used the wallpaper print, as a matt and background. I didn’t sand it I really love the natural embossed texture. Plus I wanted to let you all know how I made my heart embellishment.
How too heart paper softie:
1: cut out oversize heart shape and sand
2: punch holes in one heart
3: hand stitched to heart shapes together
4: leave small opening and stuff with plastic bags (tissue paper or batting would work here, too)
5: make arrow and thread thru before stitching closed
6: embellished and glue to page.
Tip: Stuff your heart with chocolates and give to LOVED ones.
Material: Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions, Heidi Swapp buzz words, prima vines, epiphany crafts vintage settings and bubble caps, kebab stick and feathers.
Happy Hanukkah!
Today Design Team Member Shaunte Wadley created this beautiful Hanukkah card using all sorts of Core and textures. It’s a great way to accent the candles so each one core’dinates.  And of course, the Label Maker technique. One of our faves around here!
wow…These are Beautiful. I really need a score-buddy so I can do these. Those papers are gorgeous too. Wonderful job.
Amy, please email ellen_sosnoski@coredinations.com with your name, address and phone number ASAP so we can get your Core prize out to you! Please note, we are gathering Hard Core Crop winners and addresses and shipping those right now so your prize many not go out until after the Holiday.  Thanks!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So who wants a layout? ME! ME! ME!

Due to our Hard Core Crop and blog swaps we ran out of time to get Rebecca’s last Guest Designer layout out up on the blog so we are doing it today. Such a HUGE thank you to her and beautiful, out of the box designs that show off Core’dinations Cardstock. Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions was our very  first line of Core Impressions and it is still a favorite around here. It is so versatile…just like how Rebecca used it for a Christmas layout. The Red is perfect!

Sand first and then add some paint or stamping details for that perfect accent:

Hanging with Helmar All Week Long!

We are here with Helmar this week and couldn’t be more excited!  We have partnered with them previously and it has been great so we hope you enjoy yourself this week and stick around ;) Sit back with your cup of coffee and be ready to be inspired.

Also, make sure you say “hi” from us over on the Helmar Facebook page AND they have some awesome boards over on Pinterest, too!  And…you know how it goes here… post all week long for a chance to WIN some FAB Core’dinations goodies all for yourself. Comment every day for more chances to win!!! And, of course…check in over at the Helmar Blog for more inspiration.

Today we have some gorgeous designs from Design Team Member Debbie Standard. For this first layout, Debbie adds pops of colors against the black Graphic 45 Core Impressions. And you need great adhesive to adhere that May Arts ribbon down, don’t you?  Well grab that Helmar Quickfix adhesive tape runner ..it’s the perfect size for ribbon! And the 450 Helmar Quick Dry adhesive works really well for those little bits like the green flowers Debbie cut using her Spellbinders dies. You can dab some of the Quick dry on and you are good to go..and fast! No drying time needed ;)

I know Halloween was last week but we just had to share this fun layout with you using some of the  newly released Tim Holtz Kraft Core Seasonal Impressions. These are so fun!!!!!!!  Pre-embossed sheets for all your favorite Holidays. Seriously..did I say how fun these are? It’s like magic when you start sanding and all the color starts to come through.

Remember to use that Dust Buddy after you sand so that adhesive sticks better.
