For these next two layouts Design Team Member Lydia Jackson used her label maker. Check them out!

For this fun summery layout, Lydia also used some of the Core Tags and the background is Jillian Spotted Cardstock. We love these and are so great for any project. Lydia also used her Xyron for the waves. And make sure you look closely at the Title. Lydia used her Tim Holtz Ranger  inks to gently ink the white Paper Trunk alphas…doesn’t that look FABULOUS!  Great detail….

And next up is Design Team Member Leica Forrest. She created this beautiful layout about herself and used her Label Maker for ALL of her journaling. Love the Pink Paislee Core Impressions against the Chocolate Box.

Let’s get started!

Step 1 - To create the background for my layout, I started by gathering the following supplies: Ranger Distress Inks in Weathered Wood and Broken China, two Ranger Foam Applicator Tools, Core’dinations Sand it Gadget , and of course a beautiful sheet of Core’dinations Core Impression Cardstock. The particular sheet I used was from the Jenni Bowlin Studio Collection: Vintage Brights!

Step 2 – I started by applying some of the Weathered Wood Distress Ink along the bottom of the cardstock.

Step 3 - Next I added a layer of Broken China Distress Ink and I made sure to blend the two colors together where they meet so it would having a flowing effect.

Step 4 - I continued to apply the Broken China distress ink all the way up to the top of the cardstock, however I didn’t apply as much towards the top because I wanted to make sure that some of the whitewash coat and stunning red core would show through! This picture shows a close up of how the colors blended beautifully.

Step 5 – I grabbed my Core’dinations Sand it Gadget and started distressing away! I sanded various areas of the cardstock making sure to leave a few un-sanded patches to add visual interest!

Step 6 – I also sanded along the edges of the cardstock to help create a beautiful red border. You can see what my completed layout background looked like before I began adding embellishments.

Step 7 - I completed the layout by adding pictures I had created in a free online photo editor, and various patterned papers & embellishments!

Next up is Design Team Member Paula Gilarde. Here is a little bit from Paual in her own words:

“I’ve loved being a part of the Core’dinations Design Team for the past two years. I would never have imagined how exciting and fun card-stock could be to work with – every new release has blown me away!”

Here are a few of Paula’s favorite Core Projects. Paula has always had a way with combining different lines of Core’dinations into one, gorgeous cohesive project!

Wow what can I say about being on the Core’dination’s Design Team. It’s been an amazing two years! I LOVE this cardstock and cannot image not starting every project off with some. The girls of this team have been an inspiration to me and I think we have all learned so much from each other. Everyone is so supportive and we have shared techniques and ideas. Mindy is just a dream to work for and we have been given so many great opportunities to work with different company’s and different products together with the constantly new and changing Core’dinations cardstock. It has been such an honor to be a part of this amazing team and to work with these talented designers. Core’dinations cardstock totally speaks for itself. Every time a new product comes out we are all waiting by the mailbox in anticipation of seeing what new and exciting product is coming to us and we are NEVER disappointed! There is no limit to what can be done with it and I’m constantly amazed that even though we are all working with the same products we each have found new and different ways to make this cardstock unique. I find myself ordering tools and embossing equipment totally because of what I can do with it and this cardstock. I appreciate the opportunity to have been a part of this team and to have worked for Mindy the last two years.

First up we have the cutest layout from Design Team Member Heather Bowser. From the clouds to the stitched raindrops…it doesn’t get much cuter than this!   And it’s ALL cardstock! Heather mixed and matched FOUR different kinds of Core:  Core Couture, Pearls, Core Essentials, and Stacy Julian Core Impressions on this layout.

And next up is a layout from Design Team Member Kandis Smith using Core Essentials and Cosmo Cricket Core Impressions.

How great does that stamp look on the Core Impressions woodgrain?

The first card is a gorgeous Easter Card from Design Team Member Linda Beeson using the Basic Grey Core Impression Whimsy Collection.   Don’t you love that grass detail with the Gemstones in the upper right hand corner??? CUTE!

Next up is a beautiful, springy card from Design Team Member Kandis Smith using the Basic Grey Core Impressions Ornate Collection. Such great details…the strip of Core Essentials with the brad, glitter, stamping…GoRgEoUs!

Notice the perfect amount of sanding on these cards?  Well, don’t forget to ask your favorite retailer to get the NEW Sand it Gadget!

Remember those GREAT videos we have on our website here? Make sure you watch the video on Outlining that Design Team Member Cari Locken showcases on this beautiful layout with loads of Core Essentials Cardstock.

And check out all the techniques on this layout by Design Team Member Hera Frei!   She used an ENTIRE sheet of rubons on this layout in addition to Maya  Road mists, chipboard tags,  and flowers. The chipboard tags were part of an album but they look great on a layout, too! They really show off those photos beautifully.

Here are some tips on how to create these cool  letters! Take your mist (Maya Mist Hydrangea Blue) and make a mask by cutting a border with the Fiskars Wave Border Punch and then just  lay it over half of the chipboard letters and spray! LOVE IT!

And….GUESS WHAT????   you CAN use rubons on our Core Impressions Cardstock. It looks SO COOL! Check out this fun detail from Hera’s layout using in ENTIRE sheet of Maya Road Rubons.
