These projects are so cute…love the colours and the die shapes!

And our random Facebook winner…

Cynthia Keogh Thank you for the inspiration this week. Such fantastic projects. Our first day of school was nerve racking, my worrier son doesn’t want to change classes, teachers, toys, friends. He did well no tears.

Winners email ellen_sosnoski@coredinations.com with the subject line reading the contest you won, For Example: March Color Challenge Winner. Also include in the body of the email your name, address, AND phone number (only if out United States). We will send you a confirmation back that we received your email so you know your prize will be on it’s way soon! So how about a project? or Two?  Today’s Tuesday Tip  is from Debbie Standard…use those great Core Impressions designs for your back to school photos and projects. We have tons of designs that are great for back to school including  our Cosmo Cricket Core Impressions and Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions that have fun alphabet prints, ledger lines and more!

Happy Monday!

Can you believe we are in August already?!

For a lot of us, it is Summer and it’s winding down quickly!

Today we have some fun, summery layouts from Design Team Member Debbie Standard featuring some BasicGrey Core Impressions (green) and some Vintage Cardstock for the background.

Debbie used some more BasicGrey Core Impressions on this layout in addtion to some Fancy Pants Core Impressions.

Don’t be afraid to mix and match your Core Impressions for some great contrasting prints.  It’s just like patterned paper! Add some bits and pieces of Jillibean Soup, Bella Blvd, May Arts Ribbon, Spellbinder’s Dies and you have a fun, summer layout.

Oh and there is that Cloud Embossing folder from Darice! We are loving that one ;)

Don’t forget about our CARD DESIGN TEAM CALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Thursday

The sun is shining…vacations are happening…AND it’s baseball season!!!

Isn’t this the cutest little guy you’ve ever seen?  Design Team Member Debbie Standard used loads of Bella Blvd goodies on here in addition to some Vintage Core Cardstock (base) and Cosmo Cricket Core Impressions (Dots)  and a fabulous Core tag!

And how much do you love that star?  They are so so easy to make. Cut out a star with any kind of diecutting machine or even free hand it. Then turn it over and score from point to point and then sand the front! Remember to always scor from the back so the raised image is on the front to sand. For more tips on scoring check out our videos here.

And make sure you check to see if you are a winner!

Bella Blvd posted their winners here and ours were posted here.

Happy Canada Day!

I know that Canada Day isn’t for a few days but we wanted  to share a project with you to create just in time for that special day!
Design Team Member Char Dobson created this gorgeous project for you today with her daughter for our series Kids Krafts & Core.
Project: Canada Day Mini-Album
Techniques: sanding, paper tearing,  stamping
Other supplies: Paper lunch bags, Crop-a-Dile, Jute, Cricut Go Canada cartridge, Quickutz Canadian Collection die set, Sakura black journaling pen, Ranger Distress Ink in black, Pink by Design Canada stamp set, Images printed from the internet
Notes: We really wanted to do a project showcasing what we love about Canada; and thins that make us proud to be Canadian. My daughter chose the theme and design for each page on her own. So not only are you experiencing her artwork through this mini-album, but her own true feelings about being a Canadian as well. I mostly just ran the Cricut and helped to glue down some of those fussy phrases!
Don’t be afraid to use found objects in your house. Char actually used a wooden maple leaf that had in her house. They traced it using a stylus!
Making a mini album about your country is a great way for children to learn first hand about their country.
Trust us!!!
Kids LOVE sanding with their Sand It Gadgets!!! The Spotted collection is a perfect line because kids can see the dots right away. Don’t forget about our spotted in 6×6 …perfect for mini albums!
Paper tearing is a super simple way for kids to really explore texture AND it’s FUN!
Have your kids journal directly on the Core Cardstock like Char’s daughter did here!
And a cute stamped image on the back!

Wonderful Wednesday with Char Dobson

Today we have some wonderful projects from Design Team Member Char Dobson…ENJOY!

Double page layouts=Double the FUN! I think you will agree when you see these fun layouts.

Lots of Pink Paislee Core Impressions….cutting and sanding that honeycomb pattern is too much fun!

Loads of Queen & Co. goodies on here from our friends!  And love how Char worked her Fiskars paper crimper and then sanded the Core Essentials!

OOOOOOH!!!!!

And some BasicGrey Core Impressions. Just love the pink and green combo from the Whimsy pack! :) :):)
