Happy Thursday everyone. Today’s post is about mixing our Core Impressions lines with patterned paper. The great thing about these paper packs is that they are cardstock yet they can work just like patterned paper.
For instance, this layout by Design Team Member Kandis Smith. Notice how she uses the Damask print from the Graphic 45 Timeless Core Impressions line. She paired with some October Afternoon papers that have a completely different pattern. And check out that little strip of Gemstone. Perfect!

Also on this layout from our preferred partners: Queen & Co. Gemstones and Maya Road Chipboard.
And here is card from Kandis using the Stacy Julian Core Impressions dot cardstock. Who needs patterned paper when you’ve got this collection in your stash? Paired with the Graphic 45 tags and some Core Essentials, you’ve got a match made in heaven.

And one last example from Kandis. Check out this layout with the Cosmo Cricket Core Impressions against the graphic prints! And of course that cute smile doesn’t hurt
We would love to see how you used your Core Impressions!!! Make sure you link us up on our Facebook page or in the comments here.

Have a GREAT week!

Here is a layout from Kandis Smith showing off how easy it is to use Core’dinations as your go-to Cardstock.

Tuesday Tip

Our Tuesday Tip comes from our very own Melissa Oliveira. She is sharing this cute pumpkin layout. Take a few minutes and look at the amazing details….the subtle sanding, the embossed paper piecing, the photo mounted with the Vintage cardstock, the scored leaves and the fun paper curls!
ALL this and NO patterned paper. Just gorgeous.

Core’dinations used: Cosmo Cricket and Jillibean Soup Core Impressions, Core Essentials, Vintage Cardstock.
Melissa shared her tip for making the paper curls with us today. Just cut a strip of paper (scraps work really well for this) and curl it around a pencil like this:

Squeeze it fairly tight so it takes shape…

And Voila! You have fun curly piece of paper to add to your projects. AND the sky is the limit with these…you can sand them or even emboss them to add some added texture to your project.

Have a creative day!

The colors on this birthday card from Paula Gilarde are just gorgeous. These new Stacy Julian papers are going to brighten up everyone’s day for sure.

And Kandis Smith utilizing some softer colors on this card with some Cosmo Cricket Core Impressions and Imaginisce papers.

And last but not least, Linda Beeson uses soft embossing on Vintage Cardstock for some corner detail on this gorgeous card.

Have a GREAT weekend!

Kim Moreno paired the Jenni Bowlin Core Impression Butterfly cardstock with some Lucy Bird on this layout:

And sanding doesn’t have to be intense…check out this subtle sanding by Melissa Oliveira on the edge of the layout. And she randomly embossed the scallops around the circle, too!

Heather Bowser mixed and matched Cosmo Cricket Core Impressions with some Core Essentionals cardstock on this sweet layout:

And one more from Debbie Standard. She used her Spellbinder’s dies on this layout and topped them with all sorts of Lucy Bird flowers and Gemstone Cardstock as her base:
