Core’dinations is so versatile!
Lydia Jackson made this entire door hanger out of Core’dinations Cardstock {except the tiny alphas from one of our preferred parters, My Little Shoebox}. By using embossing, sanding and tearing, Lydia added such great little details that really make this door hanger so great! Including the fun play on words….

Since we have been exploring colors this month, I thought this would be a perfect time to share this adorable “be” Mine Card from Sarah. She reminds us that we don’t always have to follow a particular color scheme for certain holidays. Not to mention, Sarah combines some Black Magic Cardstock {from the Jenni Bowlin Core Impression Line} and Whitewash collection.

It is hard to believe that next week is February! The Design Team has been busy creating wonderful Valentine’s Day inspirational projects.
Linda created this card using the color inspiration challenge we posted here. This was just a fun thing we did to see what we could come up with when working with simple color combinations. That is the great thing about working the Core’dinations Cardstock…so many options!

And Cari mixed some Core Essentials and Black Magic cardstock for this little cutie:

What goes great with Valentine’s Day? Chocolate Mocha does! We are gearing up for the big day in February already.
Debbie Standard created this adorable card utilizing some of the very versatile Chocolate Mocha cardstock from the Core Essentials line.
Some subtle sanding and a Cuttlebug embossing folder makes this card wonderful and unique at the same time.

Ringing in the New Year with…

1. What is your most treasured Holiday memory?
When my grandparents could spend Christmas with our family and meet our oldest child. That was the only one that they were able to see in person. So I treasure that memory!
2. Do you have any special Holiday traditions that are unique to you and your family?
We like to do an advent calendar every year. Chopping down our own Christmas tree. Baking and eating certain foods only at this time of year.
Well, we just started this but it will be a fun tradition to continue for many years. We were given a pickle tree ornament. You hang it on the tree on Christmas Eve and the 1st child to find it on the tree (in the morning) gets an extra present! … and trust me -this thing is hard to find!
3. What kind of {scrapbooking} projects are you creating this year for this Holiday Season?
I made christmas cards this year but nothing else. That was it!
Cari is sharing this beautiful card with us today. The white cardstock and embossing is really classic…a perfect way to ring in the new year.

1. What is your most treasured Holiday memory?
One of my most cherished Christmas memories is a bit of a sad one. The year my Dad died Christmas was very quiet there was just my mother, my brother and I. We spend all of Christmas morning in my Mothers bed and my brother and I took turns going down stairs to fetch a gift for each of us from under the tree. It stands out in my mind as really special becuase it was truly one of the most relaxed Christmas’s. It was about comfort and Joy. It was not loud and crazy there were no big meals to plan and no where for us to go. Now don’t get me wrong I love the crazy loud christmas’s. The whole family thing and running around. But this one Christmas, was just what my broken heart needed at the time, A Peaceful, warm and safe white Christmas.
2. Do you have any special Holiday traditions that are unique to you and your family? We have one of the coolest holiday traditions, every year we make Christmas Strawberries. These Tasty treats are mostly made of coconut and are topped with a green cherry and green tooth pick. They are a ton of fun to make with the kids and are delicious. I have never come across anything like them, it has been a secret family recipes for as long as I can remember.
3. What holiday crafts are you creating for this festive season.
This year I have been having so much fun crafting. I have sewed two gifts. {sorry I can’t share those until after christmas, you never know who will see this} I have made an advent Calender and I am hosting a Christmas Card making party at my house this week. On top of that I am doing some fun daily crafts with the kids. We are making Foam snowmen, paper snowflakes, painting toy trains and pipe cleaner garlands. There is an activity for every day in advent.
Here is a layout Lydia did for the Holidays. If you can’t get excited for the Holidays from this sweet face than I don’t think there is hope for you!

The Countdown to Christmas Continues….

Next up in our Countdown To Christmas is Linda Beeson. Make sure you scroll down for the GORGEOUS ornament she made for this Holiday season!
1. What is your most treasured Holiday memory? I think my most cherished memory is the year that my sister was to receive a rather large, stuffed kitty cat that she really wanted. My parents had it hidden at the neighbors and so the whole revealing of the gift was so neat and fun.
2. Do you have any special Holiday traditions that are unique to you and your family? Our family has a rather new tradition now that our kids are all grown. We take a mini trip together somewhere about a week before Christmas. We take a day or two and all of us go somewhere we can drive to. We have created the most amazing memories with these times together. We don’t get the adults gifts, the trip is our gift to each other.
3. What kind of {scrapbooking} projects are you creating this year for this Holiday Season? So far, I haven’t gotten very far but I am thinking of something in the line of a mini album or two.
