Let’s start today off with festive layout from Tim Holz Seasonal Kraft Core with Designer Suzanna Lee:
For those of you who have followed my blog, you’ve already heard my rave review of the Xyron MegaRunner. You can read all about it here. Having had the chance to use my MegaRunenr A LOT more since that review, I am still a big fan! The cartridges are so easy to just drop in and get scrapping. You don’t have to rely on that one friend who threads it for you, nor do you have to keep re-threading. Big bonuses! The Create-A-Sticker “X” has been sitting on my desk for AGES. I think it’s the one adhesive that still remains from early, early days. It’s the tried and true work horse for letters (like the title on this layout) and smaller embellishements (like the pumpkins, ribbon and burlap). New “wows” that I got to play with in the making of this layout with are the 3/16 inch dots and 1/2 inch double sided tape, each with their own environmentally friendly dispenser. The double sided tape is fantastic when you’re using Core’dinations products in that sometimes the sanded Core, no matter how clean that Dust Buddy gets it, can be a little more resistant to stick and bond to more Core. Not the case with Xyron’s double sided tape! Thanks Xyron for some innovative, earth friendly and reliable adhesives!

This month we want to share some tips with you about designing our Core Tags. We love, love them here at Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock. They come in a variety of sizes and colors to match our Pastels, Brights and Darks collection packs, not to mention individual packs of all white. They have a great texture, a metal grommet and you will find they are great for journaling, adding titles and much, much more!
For more tips on tearing Core’dinations Cardstock, make sure you check out our Technique videos HERE.
And a close-up of that detail:
But keep in mind you don’t always need to tear them…you can just stack your tags on your layouts for journaling, too. April Derrick did just this and added some doodling to her tags to personalize them a bit, too! The white tags are perfect for this…
Make sure you check them out in Pastels and Darks, too!

And one more..
Some more Tim Holtz Shattered Collection layouts! This line was a HUGE hit at CHA…you are going to LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
A layout from Designer April Derrick:
Check out the fun folded card we learned from Guest Designer Leeann Pearce AND see that cool postage stamp layer in the Kraft? YEP…that is from the David Tutera Celebrate cardmaking system Step two. We LOVE mixing and matching these collections!
And another postage stamp layer from the David Tutera line. Told ya we liked ’em! 🙂
On this layout, Designer April Derrick used her Tim Holtz Distress Stain in Chipped Saphire by Ranger and inked the Shattered cardstock. See how the stain just soaks up in the cracks and turned blue??!?!?!? HOW COOL IS THAT??? And she embossed some of it too (the layer under the photo). So many possibilities!
Stay tuned for more ideas on is BRAND NEW Line that we debuted at CHA 2013 featuring Tim Holtz-Kraft Core!
We love these two lines so much AND after seeing everyone at CHA loving them, too, we thought it would be fun to share a layout using both collections.
Scoring, sanding, and embossing are SO much fun! Who needs patterned paper?
Here is a close up of the embossed letters. Just emboss and sand…that’s it!!!! The blue is the colored core coming through. Pretty, eh? And we are LOVING our Queen & Co. Washi tape here at Core!
