Don’t forget only ONE more day to create your card for the Cupcake Challenge Blog! We have one more piece of inspiration for you today from Vivian:
Hi there, Core fans. Vivian Keh here to share with you some easy techniques to craft the delicate butterflies on this pair of cards. Paper punches were used extensively for the major element – the twiggy strips and the butterflies. Within seconds, Core’dinations Cardstock plus the right paper punches provide us with spectacular embellishments, don’t you agree? For the trio of butterflies in the focal image, I used an EK Success Butterfly Layering Punch. Talk about compact – love that thing. A flat solid butterfly was punched for the base layer, and a more intricate punch option was utilitized for the top layer. I haven’t used my Crackle Accents in ages, and I’m glad I picked it up for these projects. To achieve this delicate glossy texture, simply apply the Crackle Accents and set aside to dry. Once dry, gently fold the wings upward and adhere to the base layer with a line of glue. I think this little bit of effort here pays off in the end, adding that special something which draws your recipient in for close ups and perhaps a few “ooh”s and “ahh”s.
How cool are these butterflies?
