Today’s spotlight is on Kandis Smith.
Here is a little bit about Kandis in her own words:
I love being a stay-at-home mom and full time scrapbooker. I have been scrapbooking and stamping since high school and have since been published in many magazines, including CARDS, Paper Crafts, Paper Trends, Memory Makers, and Scrapbook Trends. When I’m not stamping, I enjoys cooking, photography, and camping. I am from Idaho, where I live with my husband Brandon and sons Logan and Landen.
is on Kim Moreno today!
Here is a little tidbit about Kim in her own words:
Hi my name is Kim Moreno and I am a SAHM to five great kids! With them being only 6.5 years apart life in the Moreno household tends to get a bit nuts, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have been married to Jesse for 16 years now, he is in the Air Force. So our ‘home’ for many years has been where they tell us to go. I am finally settled in small town Texas and loving it, Jesse will join us in another year when he finally retires.
I have been fortunate to have had my work featured in many of the top scrapbooking magazine including BHG, Creating Keepsakes, Memory Makers, Scrapbook Trends, Paper Crafts, Cards, SCT and more. I was honored to be a Memory Makers Masters runner up in 2008. Scrapbooking for me is an outlet, it’s a way to unwind and be creative. I enjoy the whole process of it: from picking out photos to playing with the papers to finding the ‘just right’ embellishment to complete my page. I love knowing that I am capturing the everyday moments for my kids to look back on and enjoy.
I am THRILLED to be apart of the Core’dinations design team for another term and look forward to hopefully inspiring paper crafters out there to reach for their Core and experiment!
And here is a layout Kim did with some My Little Shoebox goodies. I love the way she continued the circle with sanding and used her marker to continue the scallops. Even though Core’dinations has a different texture than other cardstocks, it still takes markers and other mediums perfectly!
I swear, the more I look at this layout the more I see!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Today I would like to introduce you to Melissa Olivera!
here is a little bit about Melissa in her own words:
I’m a native Cape Cod’er married to my best friend Bob and mom to my 12 year old son Griffin (and a 2 year old puggle named Belle). I am fortunate enough to be a full time employee at the best LSS around, Colorful Creations, where I also teach classes. My scrapbooking began shortly after my son was born, and has developed into an intense love for all things paper realted. My camera is always at my side, ready to capture the every day moments that become the subjects of my scrapbook pages. Documenting my love for grande-two-splenda-shaken-iced-passion-teas from Starbucks is just as likely to show up on my pages as are holidays or major events. In addition to paper crafting, I’m addicted to my sewing machine and crochet hook, as well as my ipod, flip flops, and Burts Bees lip balm
Here are some projects from Melissa using the My Little Shoebox goodies we got in a product swap.
This layout uses the Chocolate Box Cardstock.
And some fun cards!
Today I would like to introduce you to Cari Locken!
Here is a little bit about Cari in her own words:
Hi! My name is Cari Locken and I live in beautiful British Columbia. I am blessed to have three wonderful children and a fabulous husband. I started scrapbooking in 1997 and I just love this creative outlet. This hobby provides a way for me to tell my stories, use amazing products and fabulous colors, and provides a way for me to improve my photography skills. I’m a designer for Canadian Scrapbooker magazine and Scrap Shotz and I love teaching various classes at my local scrapbook store and at other retreats and conventions. I’ve had the privilege of being published in BH&G (Scrapbooks etc.), Memory Makers, Creating Keepsakes, CARDS, Paper Crafts, Simple Scrapbooks, and Scrapbook Trends. I am so excited & honored to be a part of Core’dinations Design Team!
Here is a layout and card by Cari showcasing the amazing detail she creates with her Core’dinations Cardstock:
First, I wanted to give a a quick thank you to everyone for their entries to the contest. We will let you know the winners soon!
Let me introduce you to…..Kimber McGray!
Here is a little something about Kimber in her own words:
Hi! I am Kimber McGray, a Stay-At-Home Mom and crazy crafter. I live in Carmel, Indiana (a suburb of Indianapolis) with my husband Bill and 2 kiddos, Andrew and Laura. It’s never a dull day between an overly active 6 year old, a princess in training 4 year old, taking care of every day household stuff and finding time for my ‘hobby’ of scrapbooking and card making. I’ve been very fortunate to have worked with most magazines in the industry, I am currently on the Design Team for Scrapbook and Cards Magazine and have written the book, “Scrapbook Secrets” for F+W Publications and was named to the Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame in 2007. Over the years, I have worked with a few fun manufacturers including We R Memory Keepers and the new Manufacturer, Jillibean Soup. What I love the most about this hobby is that I am ALWAYS learning something new.
Here are a few projects from Kimber…
These cards are a great example of how you can stamp on Core’dinations Cardstock. Even though it has texture to it, it is still a great surface to showcase your favorite stamps. For Kimber’s cards, she chose some wonderful Unity Stamp Company stamps.
Core’dinations Cardstock used: Whitewash Cardstock.
