We have a fun week for you this week! We have teamed up with Petaloo and Sweet Stamp shop for some FUN! If you love flowers make sure you buy Petaloo flowers that core’dinate with our cardstock PERFECTLY! No worrying about matching them yourself, we did that for you.
Don’t forget to head over to Petaloo blog and the Sweet Stamp Shop blog to check things out. I heard some rumors there are goodies up for grabs over there, too! (Keep in mind SSS is PST time so they be up a bit later).
We will be giving away some goodies here on the blog for commenting ALL WEEK long (make sure to comment on every post here for more chances to win)
AND head over to our Facebook page, too! Leave a comment over there about what the first day of school is like in your house! I know it is a crazy day here!!! And if you don’t have kids in school then share a found memory you have about your first day of school. We want to here it…we are gearing up for 8000 likes over there and can’t wait!
Today, Day Two, we have Shaunte Wadley working some skills on a fun little treat box and soda treat that is sure to get any kid an “A” with their teacher! Shaunte used the School’s Out Stamp set from SSS…anyone that has kids in school NEEDS this stamp!
And some fabulous details of the Petaloo flower (they core’dinate so well, don’t they???) and Sweet Stamp Shop stamps…
and Shaunte used Spectrum Noir markers to do the coloring. They are beautiful and smooth and just so easy to use.
In addition to stamping, Shaunte printed on her Core’dinations Cardstock, too! Don’t be afraid to mix up those fonts and colors!
Dies used today are from Lifestyle Crafts.
And here is a layout from Design Team Member Melissa Oliveira using her Core Cuts.
All you need are some alphas and you have an easy layout…no patterned paper required! Don’t you love how Melissa used the smaller damask pieces off the page at the top and bottom going off the page? Such a great touch…you can do SO much with this pack.

We continue to work on the Card Design Team call daily!
Hoping to get you some answers by next week. Thanks for you patience!
Before we do some inspiration…we have an update for you:
We would like to extend our sincerest apologies to the winners of our Tim Holtz Kraft Core giveaway. We had a programming glitch which prevented the shipping addresses of the winners from being collected. The good news is that we’ve found the problem, it is fixed, and all future giveaways will work very smoothly.
To show how much we appreciate everyone’s patience, we are doing ANOTHER giveaway! We have THREE SIGNED Tim Holtz Kraft Core packs ready to give away to our Facebook fans. So if you aren’t a Facebook fan, LIKE US NOW! Tell your friends and hurry!!! We’ll be picking our 3 random winners on January 10th.
Please note this is only a Facebook giveaway so make sure you Like us over here!
We wish everyone a safe and prosperous New Year from here at Core! Hope it is off to a good one so far.
How about some inspiration to get that New Year kicked off in the right direction?
Today we have a layout from Design Team Member Debbie Standard using our January Color Lover’s Challenge as inspiration.
Debbie die cut, embossed, sanded, embossed some more 😉 You get the idea of how much detail is on this layout. And she used some goodies from one of our preferred partners, Maya Road. Looks gorgeous, don’t you think?
So what better way to cool off than some ICE CREAM!!!
I don’t know about you but ice cream is an important part of life here in our household.
When it comes time for a trip for some there is heated discussion as to where we should go…
hard ice cream, soft ice cream, yogurt, custard…you name it…we got it around here. It’s so
much fun to go as a family and enjoy each other and have a delicious treat.
WELL, that is what we have for you today! Design Team Member Char Dobson created this yummmmmmmy card using her Spellbinders Nested Ice Cream Cones and loads of different embossing and Core’dinations Cardstock.
Now THIS is an ice cream cone card good enough to eat!
And it is!!!
We are currently gathering all the layouts for our FIRST ever challenge here at the blog. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all of the AMAZING entries. You guys are the BEST! We will announce the winner Monday.
And we have ONE more AWESOME project for you for your Father’s Day projects. This little fry box fom Shaunte Wadley is perfect for any occasion.
The die cut is from Lifestyle Crafts and the cardstock is Teresa Collins Core Amour. LOVE IT! There are so many fabulous details on this little box…the layers of stars, the tiny little tag, the COOKIES! Delicious.
Happy Father’s Day to all those fabulous men in our lives!
Don’t you think?
We sure do here at Core! Have you seen our tried our Glitter Silk paper yet? If you haven’t, you must!
It is smooth as silk and cuts beautifully…and the best part is that it doesn’t shed glitter all of your scrapbook room and yourself. There have been plenty of times I have walked around the house or even the grocery store with glitter on my face and didn’t even know it! This won’t happen with this versatile cardstock.
And p.s…..don’t forget to check out our June Challenge!!!
All you need to do is journal and show us a fun Hard Core technique and you can get up to TWO chances to win!!
Check out details here.
And a close up of the die cut flowers from Lifestyle Crafts:
The sentiment is from MyStamp Box and embossed with clear embossing powder and the flowers are layered with Helmar Zapdots.
AND we have more 😉 YOU know how much we LOVE color ’round here so if you like this color combination here it is for you:
