We love some 8.5×11″ around here!
So for this layout, Melissa embossed the cardstock FIRST and then sanded BEFORE punching into heart shapes. This is much more Time efficient than individually embossing and sanding each punched shape. And if the shapes are tiny it’s a bit harder to sand those small pieces, too.
And that scored frame is just an easy way to create a focal point on your projects. Scor THE BACK of the cardstock and then sand the raised image on the front. It is THAT easy!
And, of course, the stitched circle is just the perfect detail to finish this cute layout.
Here is a close up of the Label technique we know and love here at Core. Melissa used her Label maker and then inked the raised letters so they pop off the cardstock. For more info on labeling check out our video here:
Journal strips are such a great way to accent your journaling. Again, Melissa used some Whitewash and sanded the edges…
Melissa used a variety of embossing folders from Sizzix, Darice and Provocraft in addition to some Queen & Co. bling.
So with Easter right around the corner, what do you think of? Um, CHOCOLATE CANDY! Not sure if you hang out with us on Facebook but I posted a question over there about the endless debate of what is the best Easter candy. So why not share some Chocolate with you today?
That is Chocolate Box cardstock!
And don’t forget about our Challenge for this month! How many embossed designs can you get on your layouts????
Check out DETAILS HERE!
And one more Chocolate Box cardstock for all you chocolate lovers out there:
This one is from Designer Shaunte Wadley. She used her Scor-Pal to create the border and the Scor-Buddy for the dots. Such a GREAT way to add a simple border. And don’t be afraid to mix and match the different Chocolate Box washes together. It’s just like mixing and matching patterned paper. For a video on how to Scor on your layouts click here.
We have been talking about our BRAN NEW Tim Holtz KRaft-Core Shattered line a lot lately and today Designer Melissa Oliveira has a super sweet layout for you. And she uses the No. 1 for her background. Make sure you check out the detail shots so you can get the idea of how great this cardstock looks up close.
So, even though inking it and embossing it is a lot of fun, you can still use it as your go to cardstock for backgrounds in lieu of patterned paper.
Some products from our partners: Lifestyle crafts: embossing folders (for banners beside photo) and doily die cut (to the left of photo),petaloo: paper flowers, Queen& Co: pearls and Fiskars: paper crimper and border punches

Today we have Guest Designer Leeann Pearce with us again! Leeann is the queen of cool. Her layouts are always so awesome with layers and layers of texture and this color combo is just a classic. The gray tones that Leeann pairs together are just perfect and it’s so easy with Core’dinations Cardstock since everything “core’dinates”!
Here is a little bit about this layout from the lovely Leeann herself:
