Tuesday Tip: Cute and Quick Easter Gift

Today’s Tuesday Tip is to use what you got!
Designer Shaunte Wadley has the cutest little Easter Bunny treat for us today. It is a great way to use up some scraps and there is a good possibility that you have all of this already at your finger tips.
So here is a little bit about it from Shaunte herself:
Here is a quick and easy Easter Treat cup using Core’dinations scraps from your stash, and a grocery store cup.
The cup is just a plain white plastic cup.
For the ears, I folded a piece of Pink Core Whitewash in half. I free hand cut the ear, and since the paper was doubled, I had matching ears. I sanded the edges so the pink would come through.
I repeated the same fold and cut technique with a scrap of Pink Spotted Jillian Dot cardstock. I trimmed it slightly smaller to nest inside the Whitewash ear.

For the bunny face, I punched two 1″ circles from Whitewash. One 1/2″ circle from the Spotted.
I trimmed a scrap of white for the teeth, and glued them together as shown.
Add a couple of google eyes, and hot glue all of the elements to your cup.
Easy as can be! Would be great to mass produce- who doesn’t have scraps and plastic cups? Cheap, and pretty darn cute.
Fantabulous Friday!

Happy Wednesday!
Don’t forget about our Design Team call going on now. You don not want to miss out on being a part of this awesome team! And you could find yourself wearing this badge.
We have a WOW of a Wednesday for you today from Design Team Member Debbie Standard. How many diffferent embossed patterns can you get on a layout?
Now I count SIX on this layout. Now actually it could be SEVEN because Debbie’s flowers are embossed, too! Oh no, EIGHT because she has two different kinds of embossed flowers from her Spellbinder’s dies. Now..here is the catch?!?!?! Think you can do more?!?! Well, let’s see if you can!
WE CHALLENGE YOU TO GET AS MANY EMBOSSED PATTERNS ON LAYOUT AS YOU CAN! You have until the end of this month, March 31st, to link your layout to THIS blog post or on our Facebook page. You must use Core’dinations cardstock on your project. It can be any kind…you can emboss it yourself or use our Core Impression lines so the sky is the limit!
Happy Creating!
Happy Tuesday!

Before we get started today we have a quick update on the Northrige winners. They have been picked and emails will go out shortly! So stay close to your inbox and we will post names soon, too.
Today we have a layout from Designer Debbie Standard featuring some Core Amour. Sand the white wash and the black core comes through…it’s so cool! Debbie accented it with blues and yellows from the Spotted Collection. Love that pop of color, don’t you?
And how about pairing that Spotted Cardstock with some Fancy Pants Core Impressions? Mixing and matching our different collections is so much fun! Add some of your own embossing like Debbie did here with the Whitewash strip and who needs patterned paper?

We have been talking about our BRAN NEW Tim Holtz KRaft-Core Shattered line a lot lately and today Designer Melissa Oliveira has a super sweet layout for you. And she uses the No. 1 for her background. Make sure you check out the detail shots so you can get the idea of how great this cardstock looks up close.
So, even though inking it and embossing it is a lot of fun, you can still use it as your go to cardstock for backgrounds in lieu of patterned paper.
Some products from our partners: Lifestyle crafts: embossing folders (for banners beside photo) and doily die cut (to the left of photo),petaloo: paper flowers, Queen& Co: pearls and Fiskars: paper crimper and border punches
Tuesday’s Tip…Scraps from a Sketch

Hi! Ellen here with my take on Lydia’s sketch. Not much time so hurry up and LINK YOURS HERE or share it on our Facebook page!
My Tuesday Tip is all about scraps so keep reading
And in case you missed it…here is the sketch from Designer Lydia Jackson:
Here are some close ups …the first one is of the BasicGrey Core Impressions and some of the scoring with my Score-Pal:
Next up the butterflies…I like to mix up the embossing folders with the dies. Folders are a mix of STampin’ Up! And Darice. Embellies are a mix of Studio Calico and October Afternoon.
AND ..last but not least…
My Tuesday Tip is to use those scraps. Now, if you are like me you need to do this right away or I end up putting them on a pile in my desk. So if I don’t use them on a card or another project immediately then I probably won’t.
So here is my card with my left over butterflies. The base is Pink Paislee Modern Prints Core Impressions and the envelope is from Maya Road. All Adhesives are from 3L and burlap string is from May Arts.

Core’dinations Cardstock!
Today we have some layouts for you featuring our very fun shiney and sparkley collections….Glitter Silk and Gemstones ! Two of my FAVES! Who am I kidding? All Core’dinations cardstock is my favorite!
These first TWO layouts are with our 6×6 paper pads! Cardmakers and scrapbookers will love these lines. Our same great cardstock just sized smaller for mini albums and cards.
How about a Glitter Silk layout from Shaunte Wadley…Shaunte used her Lifestyle Crafts die cuts for all the hearts. This cardstock cuts beautifully!!!
A Gemstones layout by Andrea Amu. Andrea embossed the Gemstones and then inked it…Looks cool!
And another Gemstone layout from Shaunte but this time in the 12×12:
Keep in mind these two lines do NOT have a sandable finish.
