Who’s having fun this week???

Today we are welcoming Jill Lebbin!  If you have been with us the last week or so make sure you check out the winner list HERE. You might see your name there and don’t want to miss out on your Core Prize pack.

Here is a little bit about Jill:

Hello! My name is Jill and I share my crafts on my blog Every Day is an Occasion. I am so ecstatic to be on Core’dination’s Design Team! I absolutely LOVE designing and creating projects! Within the last five years I have learned that I am happiest if I am able to carve out a little bit of time to live creatively every day, whether it is by decorating my house, making a card, or working on a scrapbook. I guess I could say, it is in blood…I attribute all my craftiness to my mother.

Most of my time is spent with my loving family. I have a wonderful husband who is very supportive of my endeavors and two sweet and spunky kids whom I get to spend my days with. I am so blessed!! We enjoy traveling together, whether it is to zoos, museums, or lakes…but our very favorite spot to travel to is The Cayman Islands.

When I’m not spending time with the fam or crafting I am working on my fundraiser that I created and direct called Craft for a Cause. We raise money to help buy Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s they help restart a heart).

Here is the inside scoop in Jill’s layout:

I chose a picture of my family as the focal point in my layout because they are my main focus. They are my life. Everything revolves around them and I wouldn’t have it any other way. This is a picture of the four of us at a zoo. My son absolutely LOVES zoos, so we have been to 7 different zoos around the country within the last year.

When crafting, I like to make things fun and interactive. So, I hid the Core Tag behind the photo. If you pull the ribbon, the tag will come out and I wrote where we were and the kids’ ages on the tag.

I love sanding Core’dinations paper! It’s become a serious love! I mean really isn’t it fun?!

Card Design Team call update:  We are still narrowing down entries.  We are HOPING to have a decision by the end of the week.

This is not an easy process and something we don’t take lightly so we appreciate your patience!

It is going to be GREAT! We always have such a GREAT time doing our cross promotions!

So here is a little taste of some of the Petaloo flowers created specifically to match our papers!!! How much do you love the fact that you have everything that will core’dinate at your finger tips?  It makes creating easy AND beautiful!

Melissa used a bunch of Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L on this layout, too!  She used the Dodz to adhere the flowers (once these guys go down they aren’t going anywhere!) and some of the 3D foam adhesive for the hand cut flowers that she alternated with the Petaloo flowers. Did you know those hand cut flowers are from our Jillibean Soup Core Impressions pack? Melissa also used some Vintage cardstock (green) and Fancy Pants Core Impressions (yellow) and Core Essentials (pink).

Here is a close up of the Whitewash hearts and the 3d Foam adhesive on the flowers.

For this first layout Debbie created pairing up her Bella goodies with some Fancy Pants Core Impressions.  LOVE the different patterns that Debbie mixed here…

And..yep! You guessed it….Debbie did an album using Bella Blvd products and Core. That’s all you need for one fabulous album.  For this first layout, Debbie used a bit of the Jillibean Soup Core Impressions.

I have to say I think our Spotted Collection goes amazingly with Bella Blvd. AND it comes in 6×6 and 12×12!!!

Take a close look at the scallops going down the left-hand side of the layout. Debbie punched circles (you could easily cut them with a die-cut machine as well) embossed them and then lined them up to look like scallops!

Just add sanding and a monkey ;)

Gosh the Bella  Blvd chipboard shapes are the CUTEST!

Introducing….

This week we have a fun week in store for you….we are introducing our NEW 2011 Design Team.  For this special week, each Design Team member created a layout all about themselves.  We will be updating galleries daily with new projects from the team so make sure you check their galleries often!

First up is Debbie Standard.  Here is a little bit about Debbie in her own words:

My name is Debbie Standard and I have been scrapping for about 10 years now. I have been a Critical Care Nurse for 16 years. I am now employed as head of the Trauma Case Managers at a Level 1 Trauma Center. I work full time and still put in about 5 hours a week charging in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit. I am also a mother to four, three daughters and a son. Between my husband and myself we have a total of six children, eleven grandchildren and one great-greatchild (by his oldest granddaughter), three cats. I love scrapping – it’s my therapy. Once I started submitting for publishing I’ve been addicted. So much fun to see what I have created in a magazine – I never get over the thrill! I have been published in several magazines and am on several card DTs as well as Core’dinations.  I have met some wonderful people through design teams and boards. I am so excited to be a part of Core’dinations Design Team for another year. This cardstock is such an exciting product and I am so looking forward with working with this impressive group of Design Team members!

Supplies used for this layout:

Cosmo Cricket Core Impressions, Basic Grey Core Impressions
Core Essentials, Fancy Pants Core Impressions

Next up is Kim Jeffress.  Here is a little bit about Kim in her own words:

Hi my name is Kim Jeffress and I hail from beautiful sunny Brisbane Australia. I started my creative journey into scrapbooking about 8 years ago when I met my husband, then boyfriend, who worked out of town and I needed something to keep me busy during the week. A former kindergarten teacher now SAHM, my biggest inspiration for my scrapping are my two active little boys. I like to scrap the good and the not so good aspects of their little lives…the things that they say and do, and the little everyday things that I don’t want to forget. I am very fortunate to be on the design team for Australian Scrapbooking Memories magazine as well as several online shops and manufacturers so I get to work with many different products. I love the feel of embossed, roughed up or textured cardstock as it adds a fabulous rustic feel to my boys pages. I would describe my style as clean, fresh and vibrant with a touch of whimsy! I am soooo very excited to be joining the fabulous team at CORE!!

How cool is this large, elongated  photo of Kim? SO COOL!
