Today we have a special treat from Fiskars!!! AGAIN! Yes, they have been super generous and donated a PAPER CRIMPER for our 10th Day of Techniques Today. Yes, you guessed it, today’s technique is CORRUGATUNG. We are blowing the dust off these great tools and working some Holiday Magic with them. Make sure you check out the video here to get some great tips on using your paper crimper. Again, if you get a chance to give Fiskars a shout out on their Facebook Page for the generosity we would appreciate it! It might just get you another shot in to win today’s prize!!!!
Today’s inspiration comes from Design Team Member Sarah Hodgkinson. Sarah used her Whitewash Cardstock, ran it through her Crimper, and cut it so it looks like a landscaped background for her card. Beautiful and easy!!! Thanks Fiskars! We cannot wait to see what you do with your paper crimper.
So who wants a winner from yesterday? Don’t forget that EVERY DAY we are giving away a Core’dinations paper pack, Sand It Gadget AND a Dust Buddy, too!!!!
Yesterday’s Winner is………………………………….
All the projects are awesome and so inspiring. I just love this Antiquing technique. Love the look and what a fun way to add add texture to a project.
SEE YOU TOMORROW! ONLY TWO DAYS LEFT!
Remember that Fiskars paper crimper? Today’s Tutorial from Design Team Member Ellen Sosnoski showcases a unique way to use that crimper with Core’dinations Chocolate Box cardstock. So blow the dust off of it and let’s get moving!
First, using your paper trimmer or scissors, cut very thin strips out of the cardstock. Scraps work great for this, too.
Next, run them through the crimper.
In three easy steps, you have your very own, hand made raffia. the great thing about using the Chocolate Box cardstock is that you can showcase the front and the back of the cardstock!
You can use it too fill jars like this or gift bags and other little trinkets.
Here is the finished project…
