Here on the Core blog! Check out this cool mask Design Team Member Char Dobson created with her Cricut. Once Char cut the mask from some Black Magic Cardstock, she tore Gemstones Cardstock for the feathers and then embellished with some Queen & Co pearls. Then just finish it off with some ribbon and you are done!
And check out this cute model! Such a fun and easy project for a party or even a craft project to do with your kids.
Have a great week!!!
Did you know we have THREE different kinds of glitter cardstock? Didn’t know? Already love it? Either way…. make sure you keep reading!
First up on this wonderful day is our Tuesday Tip and this week’s project comes from Paula Gilarde. This gorgeous layout was featuring in the CHA booth this year in the section featuring all of our Glittery Cardstock, this layout more specifically the Core Couture line.
Here are some of our tips when working with our Core Couture Cardstock:
1.) Don’t Shy away from Color! Mix and match your colors so they really play with each other and enhance your photos.
2.) Use a neutral to anchor your layout. Notice how Paula anchors her photos and uses the white Core Couture Cardstock as a focal point.
3.) You can emboss it and tear it…the possibilities are endless! Paula used her Fiskars Paper Crimper for the corrugated blue strip. For more tips on paper crimping make sure you check out the video here.
4.) Use the backside to journal. Even though you might think every white is the same, it’s not. You want to make sure your white’s match too, so flip it over to the non-textured side to journal, ensuring the colors “core’dinate”.
Now make sure you head over to the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog! Our very own Sarah Hodgkinson is over there with a fun tutorial and a card featuring some Core’dinations Here is a sneak of some of that fabulous Core Impressions:
