I love to make clean and simple layouts that really focus on the photo and cardstock. For my layout I started with my Core Essentials Snowflake and misted it lightly with a light teal color. I then used my Silhouette and cut some winter trees. I then tore the edges to expose the wonderful Core. I then took a green color and tore that and layered the colors making a border at the top and bottom. Next I took the green and embossed it and lightly sanded it with a snowflake pattern to frame mat my photo. Finally I cut out a 3×4 card with the title and to carry the theme of trees I cut out a tree. I then added some snowflake wood veneers. I just love the Clean and Simple look!
I love to make my own Christmas cards and Core’dinations is just perfect for them! For my first card I used Core Impressions and lightly sanded. Next I cut my Tim Holtz Distress collection and cut the word Believe and a circle using my Silhouette. I then lightly sanded it. Next I cut my snowflake out using my Silhouette and placed it in the center of my card. Then typical to my style I added a touch of bling to the center. To finish it off I added some yummy solid twine from May Arts.
My second card I wanted to bling it up using the Core Couture Glitter andGlitter Silk collections. Did you know that these two cardstocks work perfectly in the Silhouette. Yup, they do and I made this card using the Silhouette base. The glitter collections ROCK for making a Christmas tree. To add a touch more of bling I added some sequins.
Today Ava Gavloski created this STUNNING box using LOADS of Glitter Silk Cardstock. Enjoy!
Last week, I was sharing some of my projects with a dear friend and I was listening to what she had said about some cards she really liked. Well, it’s her birthday next month and so this is a little gift I will be giving her.
Another angle of the gorgeous box:
Love how the Glitter sparkles on the white Opulent Opal card base !
These cards feature the very fun Marvy Uchida Silhouette punches. The EMBOSS and punch!
Who’s up for some cute cards today? Well we have some cute cards from Kate Nolan-Denham for you today that include some stamping and, of course, Core!
One of ourfavorite things to do on Core’dinations Cardstock is stamp! Kate does that on this first card…love all the tiny accents on this card, too. And don’t forget to use the 6×6 packs for your cards!
And here is a card where Kate stamped on Glitter Silk!!!!
Kate was totally going for clean lines designed with neutral and earthy tones on this layout today to pull off a masculine feel. Such an easy thing to do with all the great Core’dinations Cardstock Colors! The vertical title work really move your eye around as well.
Kate layered and sewed the cardstock matted photos on a piece of Kraft-Core Shattered Collection. Then tore the bottom off of the Kraft-Core letting lots of the core show. Isn’t that such a simple, yet fantastic effect? To add some texture to the CoreTags, I crinkled, sanded and dusted them. I think added jounaling to one and date stamps to the other.
Very pretty card. Love the textures and embellishments.

And how about another card from Design Team Member Heather Kaesgan? A super cute card using some Marvy Uchida punches and Glitter Silk, Core Couture, Core Essentials and a Darice embossing folder for the buttons. What a great mix don you think? Love how the ribbon that she created with the punches pops off the top a bit. Oh of cours..Tombow adhesive!
Not sure about you but wedding season is in full swing for us in the summer and today Designer Gail Linder has some gorgeous engagement cards for you today. Gail mixes and matches our cardstock brilliantly! Glitter Silk and Chocolate Box? Fabulous!
Here is a little bit about these gorgeous cards from Gail:
I’ve had a couple of family members announce engagements recently so I created a couple of cards to celebrate the good news! I started by choosing a gorgeous card from the Chocolate Box collection and cutting a couple of designs out from my Cameo. In the end I settled on the fun sunburst and polaroid and went from there!
For the blue card, I chose the background from the Gemstone collection as the gave it an elegant feel. I’ve embossed the background and adhered my sanded polaroid over the top with pop dots, adding some patterned paper and a red Gemstone card underneath the cut out pieces.
Similarly, behind the sanded sunburst (be careful sanding the fine frame) I used a pink Glittersilk card to add a bit of elegance. The leaves were die cut from Gemstone cardstock also and the project was completed with the fun pink flower!
I added the same greeting to both cards, stamped on a Core Bookmark which I then trimmed with the banner ends. The white bookmark card was so wonderful to stamp on!
So there you have two card designs, made into elegant engagement cards by using specialty cardstock but imagine the same designs in different colors for any occasion!
This entire layout is Shattered cardstock except for: the Core Tags (journaling) Glitter Silk (Shamrocks, title) Core Couture (pennants). Loving that scoring detail around the edges? Break out your Scor-Pal. It’s easy and looks GREAT! Remember to Scor from the back and sand the front for that great detail.
Shaunte used gold ink and rubbed it into the lighter shade of the Shattered cardstock. This detail shot shows the gold color it turned the cardstock, and seeped down into the cracks. I sprayed it with glitter spray too. Never too much bling, right?!!? And love how Shaunte makes these flags with the Queen & Co. washi!!!!
LOVE IT! Hope this inspires you to scrap those St Patty’s day layouts!
