When I saw the gorgeous leaf vine May Arts ribbon, I knew I wanted to do something elegant with it. I paired it up with some Core’dinations Glittersilk Cardstock- Glittersilk is my go-to for “special” projects. I love glitter! Especially when it doesn’t flake off and cover everything that it shouldn’t!
“JOY” Card Supplies:
- May Arts 1.5″ Natural Burlap Stripe Edge Ribbon
- May Arts 1/4″ Red/White Checkered Ribbon
- May Arts Leaves Ribbon in Parrot Green
- Core’dinations Glittersilk Cardstock in Red Flash
- Core’dinations Essentials Cardstock in Snowflake (for tag)
Step 1: Trim and fold Core’dination Glittersilk Cardstock into an A2 sized card base.
Step 2: Trim May Arts Burlap Stripe ribbon to fit the front of the card. Cut bottom end into a pennant shape. Adhere to card base.
Step 3: Loop May Arts Leaves Ribbon into a wreath. Adhere to card over the top of the burlap ribbon. Arrange leaves as desired using small glue dots.
Step 4: Tie a bow from May Arts checkered ribbon, and adhere to top of wreath using a glue dot.
Step 5: Computer generate “JOY” using red printer ink on Snowflake cardstock. Cut into tag shape and adhere to card.
I think the glittersilk cardstock paired perfectly with the dainty leaves, and the texture of the burlap ribbon.
A beautiful holiday card that will bring “JOY” to someone- (if I decide to let it go, and give it away!)
I know every day I feel lucky to have Core’dinations as a part of my life and when I saw this layout from Kate Nolan-Denham, I couldnt wait to share!
When we are lucky enough to have a good friend that will stand by us through thick and thin, we should celebrate it! What better time of year to celebrate how lucky we are than St. Patrick’s Day?
My layout today is inspired by the lucky theme of St. Patrick’s Day and the colors we associate with this day, too. It is chock-full of glittery greens, golds and blacks found in Core’dinations Gemstone, Glitter Silk, and Core Couture Glitter Collections. I bet you didn’t even realize there were so many fantastic glittery collections by Core’dinations!
I embossed the black Glitter Silk Cardstock and then lightly sanded it just so the embossing would pop. The die cut doilies are also lightly sanded to show off the core.
The titlework was also cut out of the Glitter Silk Collection. When using your Silhouette to cut the Glitter Silk, I recommend reversing your image and cutting it Glitter Silk side down.
Wishing you much luck today! ~Kate
And how about another fabulous layout from Suzanna Lee?!?!?!
How awesome are these cuts Suzanna made with her Silhouette?
And a close up
And a close up of that Darice Shamrock embossing folder!
All week long we are playing with Authentique papers! How awesome is that?
We have been busy this October for sure but before we get started a few things. First up..winners from last week will be posted HERE torrow so please check back to see if you won. AND, next up, SAVE the date! In a few weeks we will be cropping ALL WEE LONG! Rules will be posted on October 28th so check back then for more details but challenges will be posted that first week in November.
Now on to this weeks festivities. First up we have Shaunte Wadley working some Pride layouts. I don’t know about you but I JUST got my summer photos printed so I am going to be reaching for this paper pack for sure. I just love how Shaunte works the 12×12 sticker sheet here with all the little bits you can make with them. She creates her own little embellies al over the page with the tags and banners. Layouts are easy with Core’dinations and Authentique!
And when you are done here make sure you head over to the Authentique blog for inspiration and a giveaway, too!
