First up we have a card and layout from Design Team Member Debbie Standard.
Debbie used some Graphic 45 papers and Core Impressions and the gorgeous metal flowers from Graphic 45. They are the perfect embellishment for any project!

And Check out this box from Designer Andrea Amu!!!
It’s gorgeous gorgeous…SO many amazing details…
Andrea used the Signature Series Cardstock on this altered box and some Tim Holtz Kraft Core (red). She painted it, crackled it and how about that ornate Graphic 45 door knob! And you need some great adhesive for this kind of project, too, and Glue Arts works perfectly.
COOOOOOL! What better way to store your scrappy mags???

Andrea used her Cricut Botanicals cartridge for the designs on this box.

Today is Thanksgiving in Canada and we want to wish all of you an amazing day!
We are so thankful here at Core’dinations for so many reasons.
We had such an awesome week last week with Glue Arts!
Between the Glue ARts blog and the wonderful projects here at the Core blog you had to come away with some inspiration. You must have GREAT cardstock AND awesome adhesive for your crafting projects. If you missed last week, don’t worry. Go to our main site, www.coredinations.com and then click on “Scrapbook Projects” and then you will see “2,4,6,8 Core’dinate”. There you will see all of our preferred partners, including Glue Arts, and the projects that we have created.
Today our Design Team Member Char Dobson created this layout in celebration of Canadian Thanksgiving using Core’dinations and, of course… GLUE ARTS. We just couldn’t stop! Char also used some Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions and Black Magic.
There are so many great details on this layout and so many things to be thankful for.

AND NOW FOR OUR GLUE ARTS WINNER!

And they have a GrEaT Facebook page, too, make sure you head over there as well for daily inspiration.
And, YES, we are giving away ANOTHER pack of Core for one lucky winner that posts here on the blog this week!!!

Today we have a Thanksgiving Day wreath from Designer Ellen Sosnoski.
There are only a few easy steps for this easy project. First, wrap burlap (from MME) around a wooden base. I am using an old “O” that I bought to alter for my son’s room. The intention was for us to do it together but he didn’t find it as exciting as I did so we are using it for a Fall Wreath today with some Tim Holtz Kraft-Core and Sizzix dies.
You may need to play with it a bit to make sure the end is on the back. Use your Glue Arts Square Adhesives to attach. They worked perfectly!

I used about the Adhesive Squares to attached the leaves…

I just love this piece of Kraft-Core. It is so soft and subtle and it just looked perfect on the spool. Again, use an adhesive Glue Square here….

And a close up of the leaves. They were embossed, then spritzed with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and then sanded. To get them to stand up, I used the 3D UCut it squares.

We cannot wait to see what you create with Core’dinations Color Core Cardstock and Glue Arts!
Thank you Thank you for a fantastic week. Please make sure you stop over at Glue Arts and give them a big shout out.
Come back Monday for some Canadian Thanksgiving ideas and some winners!

Here is what Lydia says about Glue Arts, “I used the extreme adhesive dots, love these things, they are the only thing that will actually hold these florettes.” So if you are interested in recreating this project…..grab your Black Magic Cardstock from Core and Glue Arts!!!

And a close-up. Check out this awesome, awesome detail.

And Designer Kim Jefress made this adorable card for us today, too.
Here is a little bit about how Kim put this card together. From start to finish it is just gorgeous. AND don’t forget….Glue Arts is PERFECT for any project…cards…layouts..mini albums…ANY crafting project. The base of the card and to attach the pattern paper I used the GLUE GLIDER PRO. To give the hot air balloon a lift and to create dimension on my card I used the U CUT IT 3d adhesive block. The colors are just beautiful, too. LOVE the balloon in the Vintage cardstock, don’t you?

The U Cut It Foam adhesives give the perfect dimension to this card.

Make sure you come back TOMORROW for our last day of projects and your last chance to comment to win.

Now it’s time for some Glue Arts!

Make sure you head over to the Glue Arts blog for some awesome projects from their Design Team. They are also introducing a new product, Glue Glider Pro PLUS and they are doing 10 days of give-a-ways over there!!! And they have a GrEaT Facebook page, too, make sure you head over there as well.
And, YES, we are giving away ANOTHER pack of Core for one lucky winner that posts here on the blog this week!!!

Today we have some designs from Ellen Sosnoski.
I love taking my projects off the page and you must have a good adhesive to be able to do just that.
For this gift bag I used some My Mind’s Eye Core Impressions and My Mind’s Eye Minis and Glue Arts Adhesive Squares, Glue Arts Glider Pro and Glue Arts UCut it Foam Adhesive.

And next up I created a card using some Pink Paislee Core Impressions and a Core Tag in Pastels (I looooove these!!!) I was over at their Live Pink (The Pink Paislee forum) this weekend and played along with some of their WCMD challenges to upcycle so I used a rubon applicator.
This is the best part. I used some UCut it Foam Adhesive, of course, and ONE adhesive square for the rubon applicator! I only needed one that is how tacky they are. I put it right under the ribbon knot and it’s not going anywhere.

See you tomorrow!
We are here all week long with Glue Arts!

Scrapfest Tutorial

Thank you so much to everyone at Scrapfest for an awesome weekend!!!
Today we have a tutorial for you on how to make the project we did over the weekend in case you didn’t get a chance to visit us or you want to recreate it. Don’t forget that Arhivers in the MOA is selling the easels and wood bases in case you want extras.
1.) Cut the base from Graphic 45 Core Impressions.
2.) Using a corner round, punch all four corners and then sand.
3.) Adhere to wood base with some Tombow Mono Liquid Adhesive.
4.) Score lines on the Tim Holtz Dusty Concord cardstock strip from the Distressed Collection. Sand and adhere to Graphic 45 Core Impressions base.
5.) Fold the green Core Essentials cardstock in half and cut two leaves along the folded edge (See step by step photos below). We recommend free handing it!!!!
Now it is time to make the flower. We like to call them Core’Sages here

Design Team Member Lydia Jackson created a tutorial here for the flowers for your reference as well. (Please note the flowers shown here were created from a different color Core Essentials and Lydia used her Fiskars Paper Crimper to create the veins in the leaf).

Again, please note... For these photos Lydia used her Fiskars Paper Crimper. You do NOT need
it for this project. Just sand your leaf along the fold for the vein. This just gives it added texture. You could always score some of your own veins, too!

Now, clip your favorite photo or ink the edges of the frame and you have the perfect project!

Again many many many many thanks to all the amazing consumers we met and saw again this weekend.
WE LOVE YOU!!!!!

As promised here are some shots from this weekend.
First up…THE BOOTH.

Here we are getting ready for the big opening on Friday Morning!

And here is the Make-N-Take we did. There were four steps. Steps one and two were stamping, sanding and tearing. You know how much we love to do that here at Core’dinations!!!

The third step was scoring and the fourth step was the ribbon. A HUGE thanks to Glue Arts for sending us their awesome NEW extreme Glue Glider Pro. It was a HUGE hit.
Each customer walked away this awesome, tri-fold card that they could use as a gift card holder.

AND don’t forget… you have all day to today to comment here to win some Goodies from us. We teamed up with myStamp BOX for a fun blog swap. We had such a blast!!!
One more thing before we head out for the weekend…we are having a Stacy Julian week next week!!! We will be showing off some creations from the team and Stacy with our new Core Impression pack that Stacy designed just for us.
