Introducing Clare Buswell!

Hi! My name is Clare Buswell. I live in the south-west of Ireland in the countryside with Niall and our lovely 5 year old daughter Isabelle.
I’ve always been creative in some form or another, I studied graphic design at art college. I only discovered the whole world of paper-crafting after the birth of my daughter when I had little time but longed to be creative again. Card-making was the perfect answer for me and is now my passion. I also really love to make 3D paper projects. I love stamping, quilling and making my own embellishments, especially paper flowers! I love trying out different techniques and coming up with my own. I also love to paint with acrylics and watercolors.
I’ve been lucky enough to have my work published in Paper Crafts, CARDS and CardMaker magazines in the US and I design regularly for Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine in the UK.
When I’m not paper-crafting I love to spend my time gardening, baking and with my family.
I’m really excited to be part of the Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock design team!
Cute layout – those little arrows get to the point!
love the spotted cardstock- would love to have some to try~

First up just a reminder that our DESIGN TEAM CALL is going on NOW! You don’t want to miss out on this opportunity to be able to create with Core’dinations all day, every day!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We hope you had a GREAT weekend and a fun St. Patrick’s Day! Beleive it or not we got FOUR inches of snow here yesterday! So the kids were home early and we had one last snow day, hopefully, boefore the first day of spring this week!
Speaking of Spring….when I think of Spring, Easter is one of the things that pops into my head.
Designer Shaunte Wadley created this for us today celebrating a classic Easter delicatessen, PEEPS! AND she used hers scraps. TOO CUTE!
Here is how she did it:
Jillian Dot Cardstock for the card base
Gemstone Cardstock for the Peeps and flower
May Arts ribbon, Queen & Co. Washi Tape (for those cute pin flags again!), Bunny is Lifestyle Crafts die.
OR NOT?!?!
This just makes me smile all over. Luckily I have a good bit ‘o Irish in me but if you don’t, than this is for YOU! Designer Shaunte Wadley created this card with so many details! Pretty crafty how Shaunte used the washi tape and pins to make her own flags, don’t you think? And a simple scalloped square out of the Spotted cardstock is a great place for the sentiment. Embellish and you have a fabulous card that is perfect for any occasion! Don’t forget to use those 6×6 paper packs for your cards, too, they are available in both Tillie and Jillian Spotted collections.
Supplies Shaunte used: Cut & Emboss brights and Glitter Silk (title)
Other Supplies: Queen & Co. washi tape, May Arts ribbon, Darice Embossing Folder
Stay tuned for winners this week. We have a TON to get picked and posted so stay close! You don’t want to miss your name up here for some fabulous cardstock or the issue of Cardmaps Vol. 3!
AND DON’T FORGET ABOUT OUR DESIGN TEAM CALL HERE!!!!!!!! ONLY TWO WEEKS LEFT TO ENTER!!!!
For full details on the hop CLICK HERE. We are giving away a secret prize on one of our DT member’s blogs but we are saying which one or which day. AND Hampton Art has some prizes, too! So head over there as well.
And you can win here, too!
Today we have a card from Design Team Member Shaunte Wadley using loads of embossing. The embossing looks great on the Vintage Core, doesn’t it???? And the trick with swirls is to stamp first and then (dry) emboss. It adds just another layer of texture.
Day THREE with Scor-Pal
Wow, this week is just flying by, isn’t it?
First up we have important giveaway information. We are sponsoring DAY THREE of Scrapbook & Cards today’s 12 Days of giveaways. You have until NOON Dec 22nd 2012 to post on their blog HERE to win ONE EACH of our 6×6 collection packs!
If you were here earlier then you know we are having a super fun week with SCOR PAL. Do you have one of these? Well, if you are a paper craft you better. AND if you love Core, then you BETTER! Scoring, then sanding with Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock is the only way to go.
Scoring raises the cardstock so you can sand it and release that inner Core. It’s gorgeous AND both design teams are going to show you easy and fabulous ways the Scor Pal products and Core’dinations can add interested to your papercrafting projects.
Did you know we have a Scoring Video? Check out our Technique videos for some awesome ideas on what you can do with Core, including the scoring video.
PLEASE make sure you check out the Scor Pal blog for some INCREDIBLE designs this week (I think there might be a prize over there
). They SIMPLY rock. You know we always have something up our sleeve for you when we do these fun blog events so keep commenting for a chance to win some great Core’dinations Cardstock!
Today we have some gorgeous designs from Designer Shaunte Wadley. She created this beautiful flower on the card just by using some simple scoring. The flower is a Lifestyle Crafts die so you could really do this with any flower.
See how Shaunte scores from the back? That is important so the raised line is on the front of the cardstock. Especially when you are sanding.
And a close-up of it on the card. Keep in mind sanding the Gemstones will take off the shine so you may not want to sand it.
AND Shaunte created her frame on this card by scoring and using the VERY FUN Scor Bug Embosser!!! It makes these fun dots that look so great sanded.
AND she scored the woodgrain on the branch using some Vintage Cardstock. So you can see all the really amazing details you can get on your projects just by scoring and sanding. The base of the card is Whitewash.
And another card for you from Shaunte using Core Essentials and loads of scoring.
Bling is from Queen & Co and Ribbon is from May Arts.
Father’s Day Inspiration
Did you see yesterday’s post?
Make sure you check out the journaling challenge! AND throw in an uber cool Core technique and you get TWO chances to win!!!
Today we have some inspirational cards from Kandis Smith. Kandis always makes the most beautiful cards.
For the first card, Kandis used the Provocraft Diamond Plate and her Cuttlebug to create the subtle but perfect background. LOVE the gray.
And how about some Tim Holtz Inspiration? The rich, earthy tones from the Tim Holtz/Ranger collections are perfect for those Father’s Day projects. And don’t forget those awesome Tim Holtz/Ranger Sizzix dies for your embossing machines. They add the perfect touch to this amazing cardstock collection!
Cards, Cards, Cards
Today we are celebrating cards! The Design Team has been loading some really fabulous cards from Graduation themes to Just Because cards. Enjoy!
Kimber McGray featuring some Jillibean Soup products:
Remember, you don’t always need to emboss and sand Core’dinations and this card from Heather Bowswer is a great example of that:
And one more card from Debbie Standard. Debbie uses her Jenni Bowlin Core Impression Cardstock here in place of patterned paper as her background. Gorgeous!
