Look how the silver layers play with the light! Gorgeous…this is the same card just two different look depending on how the light hits it.

 Pre-made cardbases are so fun…don’t be afraid to alter them like Trine did here. She used her snowflake punch and came down from the top of the card and punched it. Don’t forget to save that punch for another project!

Christmas Cards with David Tutera Celebrate!

Only a few more days until Christmas! One of the things that is SO GREAT about Core’dinations is that you can mix and match our lines beautifully. They all core’dinate…even our Core’dinations lines and David Tutera Celebrate Cardmaking System. Designer Jennifer Edwardson does this for us today!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Only a few more days until Christmas! Let’s get those cards done and mailed, right?  Well if you are like me then you are always a bit behind. That is why David Tutera Celebrate cardmaking system is for YOU! You can mix and match the layers AND mix it with some Core’dinations carstock, too!!! Let’s take a look at what Jennifer Edwardson did with it today:
Like many of you I know, I too have been making Christmas cards like crazy lately and I’ve got a couple to share with you today !!
I started with an A7 (5 x 7) David Tutera card base and put it through my embossing machine with my fave Darice snowflake embossing folder.
I created the first ‘tree’ by punching snowflakes from white Glitter Silk cardstock and rasied them with 3D foam.  I embossed a piece of brown cardstock from the Tim Holtz & Ranger Distress 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ paper pad (LOVE these – cardmakers NEED these pads) ….. I used the Darice woodgrain embossing folder and then sanded the top lightly to show the pattern !!
I added a star and sentiment from the David Tutera Celebrate Step 3 embellishment packs and finished this one off with some red twine.
I created the 2nd card using the same steps but different cardstock !!
I started with the same kraft card base and then punched smaller heart shapes from Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Shattered cardstock and raised them using 3D foam …..
I punched a circle from the Tim Holtz & Ranger Distress cardstock pack and embossed it with a circle embossing folder and lightly sanded off the top for the ‘trunk’ of the tree ……
…… again the tree top and sentiment are from the Step 3 packs by David Tutera Celebrate with a little red twine wrapping it all up with a bow !!!
……. 2 different ways to create the same Christmas-y card featuring Core’dinations and David Tutera Celebrate !!!
Supplies:
Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Shattered Collection No. 13-S
Tim Holtz & Ranger Distress Collection Brushed Corduroy
Coredinations Glitter Silk Opulent Opal
A7 David Tutera Celebrate kraft card base
David Tutera Celebrate embellishments
David Tutera Celebrate Sentiment Stickers
Sand It Gadget
Dust Buddy
Hemptique Twine – red
And a few quick cards using the David Tutera Celebrate Cardmaking system from Debbie Standard! Again..we cannot stay this enough but they are as easy as ONE-TWO-THREE!
We are Hard Core Cropping…
Are you? Don’t forget you have until Sunday night to get the challenges done! That is a ton of time!
Challenges are listed here and Rules are posted here.
Design Team Member Melissa Oliveira created this gorgeous card for Debbie Standard’s ribbon challenge.  Here is how she did it:
Begin by sanding the edges of a dark green card base from Core’dinations, then add a layer of black Pearls cardstock (from our Cardmaker series) and a slightly smaller piece of red embossed Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions. Add black photo corners for a bit more detail. Trim a piece of green May Arts ribbon and adhere to the card with a snowflake cut from a piece of May Arts trim, embellish with a rhinestone from Queen & Co. Die cut a bracket shape onto a piece of Black Magic, and punch a scalloped circle form a gold piece of Glitter Silk, mounting with foam squares to the center of the card. Finish by stamping a Cats Life Press “christmas time” image onto a piece of Snowflake Core Essentials and punching into a circle shape.
