All week long we are playing with Authentique papers! How awesome is that?
We are so excited for this week and trust me when I say our papers are a match made in heaven! But seeing is believing, right? So make sure you stick around all week long for some inpsiration and a giveaway of course!
Before we give you all the goods PLEASE check out both companies on Pinterest and follow them for endless inspiration!
First up we have Mary Pat Siehl with a layout using the Seasons Autumn layout. She really embraces the Autumn color palette with the rusts and reds and I love that touch of navy blue!
You can see the beauty of the Core’dinations inner core with each page being embossed and sanded. The Authentique pattern papers match perfectly with Core’dinations cardstock.
This Authentic Tradition collection is truly a complete collection to allow for a finished album without the need to purchase additional supplies.
The Authentique sticker elements embellished the album by bring back memories of our Christmas Eve Celebration.
Well look no further! Our team is using the Believe line from Heidi Swapp again today. It doesn’t get much more festive than this! Please make sure you head over to Heidi’s blog for more amazing ideas!
Don’t forget about our GIVEAWAY on FACEBOOK !!!!!
So are we ready for some layouts? Love how Kim Moreno went the chalkboard look on this layout using her Black Magic and the Heidi Swapp Believe collection. The Peppermint Stix paper with the chalkboard words is perfect for this and all the papers are dobule sided so endless options! And can we talk about that cute little house made of Core’dinations Chocolate Box and Heidie Swapp papers? And it’s layered on the Core Tag? Eeeeeek! How clever is that!?
And another layout from Kate Nolan Denham! These snowflakes are the perfect accent for the Believe collection and I just LOVE how Kate plays with the angle on this layout!
Love how Kate worked the Merry & Bright paper:
One more layout from Jennifer Edwardson!
Sorry I am a little late today, the flu bug has hit our home and today hasn’t been so much fun. Thank goodness it’s today and not next week when our kids go back to school.
So what is on the agenda for today? First we have a giveaway!!! Does that word ever get old? LOL! May Arts, our absolutely go to ribbon around here, is celebrating so check out how to win HERE!
Next up we have Designer Kim Moreno with a ffew gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous layouts!
To create the hearts in the background of my layout I placed a chipboard heart behind my cardstock and slightly sanded over the top making sure to get the edges well so the heart would show clearly (the outlining technique).
I the layered the pre-embossed Spotted purple cardstock and the cuttlebug embossed grey paper to create my layout. I added white spotted cardstock and instead of inking the raised dots I simply rubbed them along the black cardstock and it picked up the “leftover” dust and colored the white spotted cardstock nicely.
I then added my stickers and embellishments to complete my layout!
Cardstock: Core’dinations (Spotted- Forge me not, BlackMagic- protect, Core Essentials- Argos, Snowflake)
Chipboard: Heidi Swapp (arrows), American Crafts (letters), Magistical Memories (heart used to sand)
Stickers: Jillibean Soup
Flowers: Creative Charms
Jewels: Queen & Co
Washi Tape: K&Co (black dot), scroll (unknown)
Cuttlebug machine and embossing folders.
Summer Lovin’ layout using loads and loads of Imaginisce goodies!
And a close up:
Using my scorpal I embossed the lines around the edge of my layout to frame the whole layout I then sanded the lines and the edge of my paper rather roughly tearing some of the edges to reveal the color core of the cardstock. I backed my photo in patterened paper and vintage cardstock tearing along the bottom to reveal the core. I also traced on the back of the vintage yellow cardstock and tore the pieces of the sunshine out and sanded the edges slightly to create the sunshine piece.
Cardstock: Core’dinations (Autumn & Lemonade- Vintage Collection), (Nassau Blue, Snowflake, & Sutter Butter- Core Essentials collection)
Patterned paper/ sticker/ die cuts: Imaginisce
Adhesive: Zapdots by Helmar
Wahoo! Our site is up and we are ready to rock-n-roll! But we did lose a few blog posts from earlier this week so today is one of those posts. Unfortunately they were some Fourth of July posts so it may seem a little late so sorry about that!
BUT the good thing is that you can make these stars ANY time of the year! They look SO good on layouts, too. Keep on reading for some great step-by-step directions from Designer Kate Nolan-Denham!
1)Create a card base, A2 size, made out of Red Rose Core’dinations Cardstock.
2)Cut a piece of White Glove CoreCouture Glitter Cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″. Glue to card base.
3)Deboss a piece of Navy Cardstock from the 4.25 x 5.5″ Darks collection and layer it on top of the white mat. I used Craft Concepts Solid Stars embossing folder for this card. The debossing is a GREAT contrast to the raised stars, don’t you think?
4)Die cut 3 larger stars in different sizes and 2 small stars out of the Red Rose cardstock leftover from making the base of the card. I used Sizzix Star Framelits.
5)Score each large star at each point.
6)Scor the stars along the scored lines and sand them with the Sandit Gadget to give them a 3-D effect.
7)Die cut a label shape out of the White Glove CoreCouture Glitter Cardstock, trim the bottom of it so it will be flush with the White Glove mat already on the card.
8)Stamp the sentiment on the label you die cut in #7. I used Spellbinders Label.
9)Add the stars and sentiment label to the card using 3-D foam. I used Helmar Zapdots.
10)Give to someone. This card is bound to brighten anyone’s day!
