Good Monday Morning! We have a fun little treat for everyone this week. We are working with Stampendous Stamps for the next three days. It’s what we like to call a “mini” hop. Our teams have whipped up some fabulous Holiday creations just for YOU this week and, of course, we have a giveaway, too! One lucky winner will receive our infamous Chalk Core Prize pack so click HERE for more details on that.
Suzanna here today to share with you a Christmas card I created using a Dreamweaver metal stencil and some Stampendous stamps in addition to, of course, Core’dinations cardstock. I used the stencil for some airbrushing and then just simply stamped my sentiment right over top of it. The Tim Holtz Kraft Core Shattered Cardstock Number 12 is the perfect shade of green for this Holiday season.
Airbrushed Christmas Card Supplies:
- Core’dinations Basics A2 Kraft Card (and envelope)
- Core’dinations Tim Holtz Shattered
- Core’dinations Basics 6×6 White 80lb Smooth Cardstock
- Stampendous Stamps, Tis The Season
- Dreamweaver Metal Stencil, Poinsetta
- Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Marker Spritzer Tool
- Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Markers
- Ink – VersaFine
- Embossing Powder – Mark Enterprises
- Mist – Heidi Swapp
These metal stencils are great not only for embossing but to be used as a mask as well. I added color via my Tim Holtz Spritzer Tool as shown above. Then mask off your red and move the stencil to apply a green leaf or two for contrast. Wanting a bit more contrast and sparkle, it is a Christmas card after all, I flicked some gold mist on top of the flower.
Sentiments from Stampendous’ Tis the Season stamp set are the perfect sentiments for any Christmas card! Embossing really adds some more texture to the card and pops the sentiment so that it stands out a bit more from your artwork.
You can see really see the gold mist here and how much it adds to the card.
The Tim Holtz Shattered green cardstock mimics the veins of the poinsetta leaves for some more interest as well!
During the holiday season, it is easy to focus on getting those Christmas cards made and sent out, but this time of year, we also need a steady supply of thank you cards. This trendy chalkboard card fits the bill. Add an easy matching envelope, and you have a stunning set!
Snowflake Card & Envelope Supplies:
- Chalk Core White A2 Cards with Envelopes

Step 4. Add gems and ribbon to decorate.
Step 5. Die cut snowflakes with Glitter Silk and layer on the card.
Step 6. Die cut the sentiment and mount on another die cut label for the inside greeting.
Step 1. Emboss a piece of the colored chalkboard with the Snowflake folder.

YES, I said Christmas. It’s holiday time so grab your spiced lattes and sit back and get ready to be inspired. You are going to want to get out those Holiday papers from last year you never used and, of course, Core’dinations Cardstock!!!
Now, did you notice the title of this post? I said “TREE” instead of THREE…and you will see why.
First up we have just the coolest card ever from Design Team Member Shaunte Wadley. I mean….a ribbon tree??? Yes! It’s ribbon, flower and cardstock (Core Essentials to be specific ) heaven here! That is all you need to create gorgeous projects.
And speaking of cool trees…..
Design Team Member Lydia Jackson made a tree out of flowers. How cool is that!? Looks awesome…such a great way to use up those flowers in your stash. And Lydia used ribbon, patterned paper and cardstock (Core’dinations Spotted Tillie Collection) on this layout seemlessly.
Here is a close-up of that tree….LOVE the star out of some Core Whitewash that Lydia sanded.
From the ribbon banners to the flowers off the page…such a festive and FUN layout!
