Halloween Ghost Boxes

I love creating holiday projects that are inexpensive and easy to make. That way, I don’t feel bad about throwing them away after the holiday is over, saving storage space. This project certainly fit my quick and easy/cheap criteria- but it doesn’t look like it!

Halloween Ghost Boxes Supply List:

Step 1. The first step in this project is to select a box shape for your electronic cutting machine. You could also select a box template, and hand cut it. You will need three finished boxes.

The best part about the project, is you can resize the boxes to fit three of them on one 12×12 sheet of cardstock. Even though Core’dinations Vintage Collection cardstock is textured to resemble worn demin- it cuts beautifully in electronic cutting machines!

Step 2. Assemble the boxes using a hot glue gun.

Step 3. Trim a small piece of floral foam to fit the inside of the box. It doesn’t need to fill the box, it will just be a base for the ghosts to sit upright.

6

Step 4. Adhere foam pieces to the bottom of the boxes using hot glue. Cut a section of green tissue paper to cover the floral foam. Adhere tissue paper to the top of the floral foam in the box.

7

Step 5. Using an electonic cutting machine, cut three ghost shapes from white cardstock. You could also hand cut your ghosts. Trim wooden skewers to desired length, and adhere ghost shapes to skewer using hot glue.

8

Step 6. Insert your ghosts into the boxes. Using an electronic cutting machine or dies, cut the letters “BOO” from black glitter cardstock. Make sure to save the centers of the “B” and an “O”, this is what I used for the mouths of my ghosts.

Step 7. Adhere “BOO” letters to the box fronts. Adhere the “B” letter centers to the end ghosts, and trim the center of an “O” for the middle ghost. Adhere google eyes to each ghost.

Admire your “BOO”tiful creation!

And onto the Wall!

Yes, you heard us right…today we have a fun project for you that takes Core’dinations off the page and will help you stay organized. It doesn’t get any better than that, does it?

Design Team Member Char Dobson created this wipe board using  loads of Core, including one of my favorites, the Cosmo Cricket neutrals collection pack. The teal in this collection is such a gorgeous color and you can never have too many circles!

Don’t forget your Sand It Gadget to get that perfect sanded look.  We hope you are inspired to take your Core off the page!

What a great way to stay organized AND it looks awesome, too!
