Are you? Don’t forget you have until Sunday night to get the challenges done! That is a ton of time!
Design Team Member Melissa Oliveira created this gorgeous card for Debbie Standard’s ribbon challenge. Here is how she did it:
Begin by sanding the edges of a dark green card base from Core’dinations, then add a layer of black Pearls cardstock (from our Cardmaker series) and a slightly smaller piece of red embossed Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions. Add black photo corners for a bit more detail. Trim a piece of green May Arts ribbon and adhere to the card with a snowflake cut from a piece of May Arts trim, embellish with a rhinestone from Queen & Co. Die cut a bracket shape onto a piece of Black Magic, and punch a scalloped circle form a gold piece of Glitter Silk, mounting with foam squares to the center of the card. Finish by stamping a Cats Life Press “christmas time” image onto a piece of Snowflake Core Essentials and punching into a circle shape.
Some details of the sanding:

Pair this fun London stamp set with some gorgeous Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions from the Black and Red collection (that label shape is still an all time favorite of mine!!!) and you have an awesome layout.
Shaunte did something really cool here, too. She stamped a core’dinating image on some scrap Core and then punched it with her circle punch.

Today we have a very cool layout from Design Team Member Leica Forrest! So Sand…Sand…Sand…does it ever get old? NO WAY! We love how Leica just sanded the Jillianbean Soup Core Impressions around the photo to create a beautiful focal point. AND she inked the Jenni Bowlin Core Impression Everyday Collection strips to really make them pop. Remember to Sand with a Sand It Gadget, then use your Dust Buddy THEN ink.
OR you could even turn it over and use the back side! Cool, huh?

Today is our last day of our week with Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
If you are looking for crop winners we will be posting that today in a separate post.
Here are some Technique Tips for this layout from Design Team Member April Derrick: ICut up the photo corners and turned them into arrow embellishments for my page.Instead of placing a cd into the self adhesive CD photo pocket, turn it into a holder for an interactive page embellishment. It’s a small booklet that you can slide in and out of the clear pocket and it has journaling and another photo on the inside! Brilliant!
And Debbie Standard has some gorgeous cards for us today! Those Scrabook Adhesives by 3L go beautifully with cards, too!
And how about those flowers?! Gorgeous…gorgeous!
Make sure you comment here to win an AWESOME Core goodie pack AND over at the Scrapbook Adhesives blog as well because they have an awesome giveaway of their adhesives, too! You have ALL WEEK LONG!
In that goodie pack from us you will see some of our awesome Glitter Silk cardstock. Winner posted next week.

and a close up…loving that black splatter against the Whitewash! Don’t be afraid to get out that Sand It Gadget and really sand that Whitewash to get that color core to come through like Kim did here.
And Lydia Jackson uses the touch of Graphic45 Core Impressions along with top of this layout…
Check out the awesome details…Lydia used her Tim Holtz Sizzix embossing folder on this layout and then inked over top of it for a really fabulous distressed feel. The sanded parts of the Core really pick up the inking. Lydia also used her Spellbinder’s Label Die and printed her journaling directly on it. LOVE the tone on tone…fabulous! OOOH and some May Arts Ribbon 🙂
