They will be showcasing the new JBS Core’dinations Cardstock all week with a project and tip from Jenni each morning and another designer project each afternoon! How cool is that???
And you know it!!! We’ve got a give-a-way for you!!! (p.s. I heard there might be one over at the JBS blog, too they are always so generous over there). Make sure you comment, comment, comment all week long for a chance to win a Core’dinations prize package. And don’t forget about our Facebook page…you never know when a give-a-way pops up over there!!!
Today we have some gorgeous layouts for you featuring the Jenni Bowlin core Amour Collection using Barnsiding cardstock. This cardstock has a RED core. It’s so COOL! Just sand away the white or black wash where the cardstock is pre-embossed to release that inner core below. You will LOVE it! Again our Design Team used some Auntie Grace collection papers and embellishments from Jenni Bowlin.
First upNext week is our Jenni Bowlin Blog Swap! Mark you Calendars!
AND we have our Design Team Call going on!!!!
Make sure you check out all the Details on the Design Team Call Here. And there have been some
questions and we updated the initial call with those answers.
We can’t wait to see what you create with Core’dinations.
We have a fun week planned for the Core’dinations Blog and the Jenni Bowlin Blog featuring loads of designs from both of our teams to inspire you. It’s going to be a fun week! Here is a card to get you started from Design Team Member Ellen Sosnoski featuring new cardstock from the Jenni Bowlin Core’dinations Core Impressions 6×6 pad Cardmaker Series.
Today’s Tip is about different ways you can use cardstock for your title. We love to show you how versatile Core’dinations can be using its color core but you can use it as your “go to” cardstock for any project. Today’s layout from Design Team Member is no exception. We have a great layout for you today that doesn’t use sanding! GASP! Yes, we said it…you don’t always need to sand your Core’dinations. It looks awesome both ways!
Now on to the tip from Design Team Member Heather Boswer. Heather created her layout using a tone on tone color scheme by using a die cutting machine to cut her title. It looks awesome! What a gorgeous and easy way to add a unique touch to any layout.
We would love to see how you use your cardstock for titles!
Good Morning! We hope everyone had a great weekend! It’s Monday and we are ready to go for another week of fun!
But before we get started, we wanted to send out a huge congrats Congrats to all of our winners of the Core Impressions and Tim/Holtz Ranger contests! The winners have been notified. We appreciate your support and response to the give-a-way and look forward to more of these soon!
Today we are kicking it on school here at Core’dinations. What does that mean exactly? That means we are using some pre CHA 2011 products for you today. Our Design Team is busy working on their new goodies but we still love some of those older releases that have become staples in our scrapbooking supplies.
Looks gorgeous anchored with some Core Essentials as the layout base.
We’d love to see your “old school” layouts! Make sure you link us up or email them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
For some Chocolate? Chocolate Box that is….
Firs up is a layout from Design Team Member Debbie Standard. Debbie used Chocolate Box as the base of her layout here. Debbie used Chocolate Box with a blue core and sanded the scored frame to accent the blues throughout the layout. Also note on both of these layouts the hearts at the bottom of the page!
This layout is from Design Team Member Cari Locken. Brown looks GREAT with everything! The colors on this layout are gorgeous…blues…reds…greens and Cari anchors this layout with some Vintage cardstock as the base and uses the Mint Chocolate Chip Chocolate Box to accent the green. Remember: all of our lines Core’dinate! So the green in the Core of the Chocolate box core’dinates perfectly with the green from the Core Essentials. Isn’t that great? Makes matching colors for your project so easy.
One quick thing before we get started we want to make sure you head back here tomorrow because we have a give-a-way ready to go for Friday and it lasts all weekend long so make sure you check back tomorrow!
Here on the East Coast it’s been cooooold. But just because it’s cold doesn’t mean that we can’t celebrate a little bit of life and color around there! And if you know us here at Core’dinations…we LOVE color.
So let’s start with the primary colors…or at least two of them. Hera Frei created this layout using blue and yellow and a few neutrals. Core Essentials is the perfect cardstock to use when you are searching for color. And our paper packs make it easy for you! And make sure you check out that totally cool random embossing! Your Quickutz handles, rolling pins and hammers make it easy for you to do this fun technique.
And a colorful card from Sarah Hodgkinson. On this card Sarah uses color blocking that is really striking and simple. And take notice NO sanding! GASP! yes, we do that around here, too! Don’t be afraid to use your Core’dinations “as is”. It’s beautiful and effective.
Red, Teal and Yellow make a striking color combination from Melissa Oliveira especially against the black background. AND if you use some Black Magic, you can accent one of the main colors by choosing a “core’dinating” core color with your Black Magic. Melissa created this layout last year but when looking through the gallery, this color combo really jumped out at me. There are so many great details, too…the stamping with myStampBox stamps, the sanding with the Black Magic under the title in the upper left corner, the Jenni Bowlin Core Impression title, the embossing…so fun!
HAVE A COLORFUL WEEKEND!!!
Good Morning! I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. Due to technical difficulties, this post didn’t make it to the blog yesterday in case you missed the Facebook page.
Check out these adorable Valentine’s day cards Design Team Member Sarah Hodgkinson made with her daughter this weekend using only one sheet of Snowflake white (Core Essentials) and one sheet of Poinsettia Posies (Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions) for 36 of them!!! She also added some kraft cardstock from Jillibean Soup and used some Fiskars punches (hearts).
We love being able to partner with some of our favorite companies to create great projects for your inspiration!
Happy Friday Everyone! We are back on track with our Fabulous Friday Finds. About a month or so ago, Jolene Johnston linked our Facebook Page with some amazing cards. I sent her a message asking if we could feature them here on the blog and she said, yes! Well, it gets better….she created a BRAND new project for us! So, if you want to see those gorgeous cards click here to go our Facebook Page and check them out. And if you want to see more of her work, click here for Jolene’s blog.
Now let’s check out the amazing details on this layout!
1.) The inking of the embossed dots on the Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions.
3.) All the different techniques…punching, embossing, sanding, tearing (see close up below)
4.) AND, yes there’s more if you look closely…Jolene used a neutral piece of Core Essentials as her base for this layout. Remember, Core’dinations Cardstock can be your go to cardstock for all of your needs!
5.) AND Jolene used some awesome stamps (one of my favorites) from our preferred partner myStamp Box!
6.) Those great photos of that handsome boy
And another gorgeous layout. The monochromatic feel is gorgeous, especially with embossed patterns.
Love the two embossed patterns together!!!
Make sure you tell Jolene how much you enjoyed her work! We sure did! Have a great weekend.
