So who wants a layout? ME! ME! ME!
Due to our Hard Core Crop and blog swaps we ran out of time to get Rebecca’s last Guest Designer layout out up on the blog so we are doing it today. Such a HUGE thank you to her and beautiful, out of the box designs that show off Core’dinations Cardstock. Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions was our very first line of Core Impressions and it is still a favorite around here. It is so versatile…just like how Rebecca used it for a Christmas layout. The Red is perfect!
Sand first and then add some paint or stamping details for that perfect accent:

So sit back, relax, and get ready to be inspired. Our Design Teams have worked hard for you! AND we would LOVE it {and I know they would, too} if you could head over to their Facebook page and give them a great big “HI!” from us and the Bella Blvd blog is looking fabulous, too! There have been giveaways almost every day between the both blogs so make sure you check out EVERY day!
And guess what?! We have two packs of Glitter Silk cardstock to giveaway so make sure you head back to every post this week here on the Core blog to find the blog posts to comment to win. We won’t pick a winner until Monday!
AND Bella Blvd is giving away THIS on their blog today! So head over there to comment to win and, of course, see the gorgeous projects there DT created today.
Today Design Team Member April Derrick created some super cool layouts for us! April works the ink and mists like no other!
First she sanded the Whitewash Jillibean Soup Core impressions and then added loads of color with blue ink. All that texture is FABULOUS!
And how about some Whitewash with Bella Blvd? LOVE!
And Tim Holtz Kraft Core…ooooh….ahhhhhh! Looks fab against all those gorgeous colors! And notice how April outlines certain elements in black to make them “pop”?

We are hitting it hard today with our Label Makers.
We just LOVE using it around here. It works perfectly with Core and if you aren’t sure how to use it, CLICK HERE for the video and some “how to” tips under “LABEL IT”.
For these next two layouts Design Team Member Lydia Jackson used her label maker. Check them out!

For this fun summery layout, Lydia also used some of the Core Tags and the background is Jillian Spotted Cardstock. We love these and are so great for any project. Lydia also used her Xyron for the waves. And make sure you look closely at the Title. Lydia used her Tim Holtz Ranger inks to gently ink the white Paper Trunk alphas…doesn’t that look FABULOUS! Great detail….

And next up is Design Team Member Leica Forrest. She created this beautiful layout about herself and used her Label Maker for ALL of her journaling. Love the Pink Paislee Core Impressions against the Chocolate Box.

We will post May Arts/Petaloo winner tomorrow!

We are kicking off the last few days of August with Paper Trunk projects.
We have had so much fun working with them this month!!! Check out their blog for some more inspiration and DON’T FORGET!!!
YOU HAVE UNTIL TONIGHT FOR OUR COLOUR CHALLENGE FOR AUGUST!
Today we have a layout from Design Team Member Lydia Jackson. Lydia shares some GREAT tips with this layout using Paper Trunk papers and some BRAND NEW Tim Holtz Kraft-Core.
With the Kraft-Core, the kraft IS the Core! It’s so cool! So, one tip that Lydia shares is that you are going to want to sand your Tim Holtz Kraft-Core first before you print on it with your computer. This will allow the cardstock to absorb the ink faster.
AND how fun is that sand castle out of the Tim Holtz Kraft-Core?!??!?!?! Such a great layout. Lydia really shows off how you can use the blues and greens in this Paper Trunk line.
OH OH OH. And did you see those TAGS??? YES, we have tag! They are part of our Cardmaker Series and come with these gorgeous silver grommets.

YES! I said Winner(s)!
We couldn’t pick just one so we picked TWO!!!
First up is Irit Shalom. Irit submitted two fabulous entries with some fun journaling and cool techniques and here they are:
Some awesome Basic Grey Core Impressions on this layout. Love it paired with all of the vertical strips of cardstock and ribbon. AND, yes! We would love to go to that Cherry Festival! Sounds amazing.

Love love all the Jillibean Soup Core Impressions on this layout and how Irit sanded the “18″ with the Core Impressions. And those layered journaling spots are the best!

And Sherry Coogan submitted this layout where she etched in the embossed woodgrain on the Chocolate Box like a REAL Tree!!!!
Such a cool idea!!!
Make sure you check out how Sherry mixed handwriting with tiny alphas for her journaling.

Thank you thank you so much for all the entries!!! We will be doing challenges every month so stay tuned for the 1st of July for details for the July challenge.
Winners can you please email your address and phone number (for international entries) to ellen_sosnoski@coredinations.com.

Hope you are having a wonderful week.
Today’s layout comes from Design Team Member Melissa Oliveira.
It is amazing that this layout is all cardstock!!! Who needs patterned paper? The cut out butterfly from the Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions Vintage Brights line is the perfect accent to the punched butterflies along the page. Just a great example of how you can use your Core’dinations cardstock as is and sanded in one, beautiful layout.

If you missed us yesterday, that’s okay. You can still check out the post here on sanding and don’t forget to check out the video.
Now on to day TWO of our 12 Days of Techniques. Next up we have tearing. Check out the video on tearing here and it gives you a sneak on what you might win today in addition to the Core give-a-way. Whether you are a novice scrapbooker or been scrapping for years, tearing does not get old ’round here! Lydia Jackson is up today with a fabulous layout showcasing how you can create your own embellishments with tearing. Isn’t it snow clever how she creates circles with tearing? And the Whitewash Cardstock is perfect for your wintery layouts. The white surface and color core are the perfect way to accent those fun snow pictures. Just a great way to showcase how tearing doesn’t have to be in a straight line. Lydia also combined other blue cardstock from the Core Essentials line–don’t be afraid to mix and match the Core’dinations lines, they core’dinate beautifully!

So, for today, leave a comment telling us what unique ways you can use tearing on your projects and you could win some Core’dinations Cardstock, our Dust Buddy and Sand It Gadget, AND …yes I said AND…. a Tearing Ruler from FISKARS! (The image below is an example and not may not be the exact ruler winner will receive)

Please make sure you give a big shout out to Fiskars on their Facebook page and tell them you appreciate their support for our 12 Days of Techniques because you may be seeing them again this week
And don’t forget to give us a shout our on our Facebook Page. We love to hear from over there and it is a great way for you show us what you’ve been creating with Core’dinations. You might find your project on our blog during our Fabulous Friday Finds where we showcase projects using Core from the scrapbooking community.
All prizes will be shipped the week of December 27th.
