Get that “Pin It” button ready! We have some AH-mazing Thanksgiving/Fall inspired table decor for you today featuring our Tim Holtz Shattered cardstock.
First up Designer Ava Gavloski created this amazing tablescape. How cool will this look on your Thanksgiving Day Table?
Autumn is a bouquet of colors which truly is magical to watch as you stroll down the country side roads and city parks. The fresh cool air of autumn brings memories to warm everyone’s heart. Designing with the Core’dinations Tim Holtz Shattered collection during this sunny day of Autumn has set the ambiance for a thankful Thanksgiving.
Below you will see all the leaves that I distressed.
a) This line you see the green leaves cut out straight up from the paper. B) this side presents the harvest orange, crumbled and sanded leaves green leaves were made by first crumbling the cardstock, sanding and then die cutting the leaves out. C) this line of leaves shows the differences from inked and die cut to crumbled and sanded before die cutting the leaves. D) this sample is taking the cherry bright cardstock , crumbled, sanded before die cutting.
And some close ups:
Look at all that gorgeous Shattered cardstock!
And one more of the distressed, crumpled leaves:
Tim Holtz Shattered Collection Kraft Core, Sand It Set, Helmar, 450 Quick Dry Adhesive, Ranger Distress Ink, Ripe Persimmon , Procraft cuttlebug, Leaves die 37-1214, Thrift store: candle, tray and candle holder
Next a Fall themed topiary from Designer Shaunte Wadley! The large flower is just a scalloped shape piece of cardstock (you can use a die for this or a cutting machine) and then scored and folded. For a similar project that I did for Christmas check out Debbie’s Dares blog for more!
These are pretty easy to make. Just take 4 circles and cut off the bottoms to make a straight line (this is how they will stand up on their own). Scor down the middle and fold. Then adhere them back to back around a stick (I use kabob skewers that I cut down) to make the little pumpkings. Ink the edges so they really pop.
We are excited to share Xyron projects with you all week long.
And do not forget to head over to the Xyron blog for MORE inspiration AND a giveaway! I heard a rumour that it might be a sticker maker?!??!?!
Designer Shaunte Wadley is up first with some mixing and matching of Tim Holtz Kraft Core Season Impressions, Kraft-Core and Fancy Pants Core Impressions. And see that super cool strip of pumpkins? Shante used her 2.5 Sticker maker so keep scrolling to check out easy it is to adhere that with Xyron tools.
How is easy is that???
It’s like magic…it’s sticky and NO MESS!
Here’s a close up of it finished with the die cut layers:
THEN after you sand with your Sand it Gadget, take your chalks and apply desired color for a really cool look! Not sure if you saw Friday’s post but Designer Kate Nolan Denham did that on her layout, too, but with some Black Magic..super cool!
Sizzix – Fancy & Floral Frames Embossing Folder Set #657197, Brenda Walton “Gift Tags” Bigz die #658730
Clearsnap – PetalPoint Ink Pad Collection in “Provence,” Frost White Pigment Ink
And don’t forget to comment to win because we have some awesome prizes up for grabs for commenting this week. How about some Core AND a Xyron Mega runner? We have more in store for prizes this week so STAY CLOSE!
Love this card? Here is how Clare did it:
Make cardbase from cardstock. Emboss Black Magic cardstock, sand using Sand-It Gadget and wipe with Dust Buddy. Ink edges using Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink, adhere to card and round bottom corners. Add patterned paper (Authentique Thrilling Collection) panel and adhere sticker stitches. Add ribbon, bow and twine. Adhere Authentique Thrilling Collection stickers to cardstock, ink edges and fussy cut, attach to card using foam pads. Adhere flower, enamel dot and broom, to finish.
Fall is here and we are all about scarves..sweaters..all things warm including coffee! Well, Suzanna really made this layout in July and it’s of iced coffee but that’s okay That allows me to point out the fact that she used her brown journal marker right on her Core Amour…it’s pre embossed but that’s okay! Don’t be afraid to embrace that texture and write right over it
And can we just talk about the perspective of that photo? What a beautiful shot.
And next up we have a layout using loads of Core’dinations and some Graphic45 papers & stickers. What else screams fall but picking currants? Designer Shaunte Wadley adds so much gorgeous detail to this layout using her Lifestyle Crafts dies and Tim Holtz Kraft Core Shattered cardstock. The Graphic 45 are the perfect touch to add vintage elements to this project.
And how about some Chocolate box for that title?
Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions for the background.
Whitewash for the butterfly accents.
Chocolate Box for the title.
Core Essentials for the flowers and journaling tag.
Tim Holtz Kraft Core Shattered for the leaf vines.

Omgosh! That is the most amazing layout!!! I just love the colors and all of that texture!
Today we have new Design Team Member…… Suzanna Lee!
Check out more about Suzanna and her projects on her blog HERE. Here is a little bit about her:
What can I say? I’m just a woman who is obsessed with her husband, her 2 kids, her camera (a Nikon!), living life to the fullest and preserving our memories as we go! Michael and I have been happily married for 14 years. Together we are raising two amazing children—Nikolas, 10, and Mia,almost 7.
I am very diverse when it comes to styles and techniques. I can’t claim any one as a main stay in my projects. I range from clean and simple to layered and packed with little details. The paper and photographs speak to me and I do what feels right. New styles, techniques, products, etc. are some of the major things that offer me inspiration. I am always excited to try new things and new opportunities, in life and with paper crafting.
When I’m not hiding behind my camera or cutting and creating both mess and beauty, I’m a physical therapist. I love what I do and love that it helps fund my hobby and collection! Who needs purses and shoes when you can have paper and embellishments?!
And how much do you loooooove the color combo of this layout??? I just love learning all these random bits about Suzanna.
And some close ups:
Ohhhhhh…embossing! Our 6×6 pads are a great way to add small deatils to layouts….they aren’t just for cards!
Now a little bit about Suzanna’s layout:
Every now and again, I try to do a page about myself. My kids love pouring through the albums and love seeing themselves but I know there will come a time when they will wish there was more of Mum and Dad. I know I love learning the little details of my parents’ lives. This layout served that purpose as well as sharing a little bit about myself with you. Random bits about Suzanna Lee. I literally wrote the first 5 thoughts that came to mind. I did say random! I also wanted to showcase how amazing core is! There is one piece of patterned paper on this page, the majority of the paper is Core of one type or another. All those different lines come together as a cohesive whole! Amazing!
