OR NOT?!?!

This just makes me smile all over. Luckily I have a good bit ‘o Irish in me but if you don’t, than this is for YOU! Designer Shaunte Wadley created this card with so many details!  Pretty crafty how Shaunte used the washi tape and pins to make her own flags, don’t  you think?   And a simple scalloped square out of the Spotted cardstock is a great place for the sentiment.  Embellish and you have a fabulous card that is perfect for any occasion! Don’t forget to use those 6×6 paper packs for your cards, too, they are available in both Tillie and Jillian Spotted collections.

Supplies Shaunte used: Cut & Emboss  brights and Glitter Silk (title)
Other Supplies: Queen & Co. washi tape, May Arts ribbon, Darice Embossing Folder

Stay tuned for winners this week. We have a TON to get picked and posted so stay close! You don’t want to miss your name up here for some fabulous cardstock or the issue of Cardmaps Vol. 3!

AND DON’T FORGET ABOUT OUR DESIGN TEAM CALL HERE!!!!!!!! ONLY TWO WEEKS LEFT TO ENTER!!!!

Quick and Easy Birthday Cards

We love quick and easy around here. And using Core’dinations Cardstock makes it simple and elegant.

Designer Lydia Jackson has a few cards for us today. Emboss, sand, add some October Afternoon goodies, SRM stickers, May Arts Ribbon and Voila! You have some great birthday cards.  Oh and a few Queen & Co pearls for that sparkle!

And for this card Lydia uses all her scraps! Notice the yellow stars she randomly adhered over the embossed image?  They are the punched stars from the yellow strip.

{One} More day with Helmar!

Happy Monday Morning! yes, you heard me. We have another day today with Helmar.

So, this post was supposed to go live Saturday, I just didn’t hit “schedule”. I must have just hit “save” instead so sorry about that!  These things happen when you try and blog before the correct amount of coffee necessary to function.

Designer April Derrick created that shows off her love of Zap Dots and the 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.  It works great on wood embellishments which always seem to need a little extra “umph” to stick since they are a bit heavier.

And check out that coverage with the misting on the Tim Holtz Kraft Core! Love it….AND that embossed chevron strop along the bottom is  a piece of Tim Holtz Kraft Core Cut and emboss 2.5″x 12″. They fit the 12″ Sizzix embossing folders perfectly!!!!

Core Products Used: Tim Holtz Kraft Core, Core’dinations Essentials, Core Tags, &  Tim Holtz Kraft Core 2.25 x 12 Cut & Emboss Assorted Pack

* Helmar Products Used: Zap Dots, 450 Quick Dry Adhesive, Scrap Dots

Other: * May Arts Ribbon, Sizzix Embossing Plates

Working it on Wednesday with Helmar

Happy Wednesday!

We are here with Helmar this week and couldn’t be more excited! We have gorgeous projects all week long for you.

Make sure you say “hi” from us over on the Helmar Facebook page AND they have some awesome boards over on Pinterest, too!  And…you know how it goes here… comment here on the Core blog all week long for a chance to WIN some FAB Core’dinations goodies all for yourself. Comment every day for more chances to win!!! And, of course…check in over at the Helmar Blog for more inspiration.

Today we have Five Easy Cards from Design Team Member Char Dobson! Don’t have a lot of time? With Christmas just around the corner, things seem to just get busier and busier.  Keep reading to see how you can make a few cards in no time at all. Here are the supplies she used:

Core Cards, Core Cut & Emboss Series 4.25″x5.5″ (various)

Helmar: 3D Zapdots, Quickfix Adhesive Runner

Preferred partners: Helmar, May Arts ribbon, Queen&Co. rhinestones

Other supplies: Cricut Teresa Collins December 25 cartridge, Tim Holtz Christmas muse tokens, Embossing folders (various)
Here is a little bit about this project from Char:
Today we’re going to make five easy cards in about an hour. Using the Core’dinations Cut & Emboss series, Core cards, a few minor embellishments and Helmar adhesives you can throw together some adorable die-cut cards in a snap.
The thing I love about the Cut&Emboss series is that not only are these sizes perfect for card bases and embossing, but they are great to use with your Cricut or other die-cut machine. I don’t know about you, but I hate it when I have only a smaller design to cut into a precious piece of 12″x12″ piece cardstock. With Cut&Emboss I can put all the colours I want on one mat.
Already, you can see how quick these cards are going to come together. All I have to do is emboss, adhere and add embellishments.
And we’re done! How quick was that!? How about some close-ups:

And our Jenni Bowlin  MINI Calendar Cards look so awesome on cards!

Hanging with Helmar All Week Long!

We are here with Helmar this week and couldn’t be more excited!  We have partnered with them previously and it has been great so we hope you enjoy yourself this week and stick around ;) Sit back with your cup of coffee and be ready to be inspired.

Also, make sure you say “hi” from us over on the Helmar Facebook page AND they have some awesome boards over on Pinterest, too!  And…you know how it goes here… post all week long for a chance to WIN some FAB Core’dinations goodies all for yourself. Comment every day for more chances to win!!! And, of course…check in over at the Helmar Blog for more inspiration.

Today we have some gorgeous designs from Design Team Member Debbie Standard. For this first layout, Debbie adds pops of colors against the black Graphic 45 Core Impressions. And you need great adhesive to adhere that May Arts ribbon down, don’t you?  Well grab that Helmar Quickfix adhesive tape runner ..it’s the perfect size for ribbon! And the 450 Helmar Quick Dry adhesive works really well for those little bits like the green flowers Debbie cut using her Spellbinders dies. You can dab some of the Quick dry on and you are good to go..and fast! No drying time needed ;)

I know Halloween was last week but we just had to share this fun layout with you using some of the  newly released Tim Holtz Kraft Core Seasonal Impressions. These are so fun!!!!!!!  Pre-embossed sheets for all your favorite Holidays. Seriously..did I say how fun these are? It’s like magic when you start sanding and all the color starts to come through.

Remember to use that Dust Buddy after you sand so that adhesive sticks better.

How much do you love Core Tags?!  We sure do! Each tag comes with a beautiful, sturdy metal grommet and that awesome Core that you know and love!  Char used some of the tags from the Darks collection.  The core’dination perfectly with our Core Essentials Darks collection. Add some May Arts Ribbon and Graphic45 Core Impressions and you have a fabulous layout!

Design Team Member Char Dobson worked that title with some Black Magic Cardstock and her Cricut. LOVE it!

Happy Monday!

Can you believe we are in August already?!

For a lot of us, it is Summer and it’s winding down quickly!

Today we have some fun, summery layouts from Design Team Member Debbie Standard featuring some BasicGrey Core Impressions (green) and some Vintage Cardstock for the background.

Debbie used some more BasicGrey Core Impressions on this layout in addtion to some Fancy Pants Core Impressions.

Don’t be afraid to mix and match your Core Impressions for some great contrasting prints.  It’s just like patterned paper! Add some bits and pieces of Jillibean Soup, Bella Blvd, May Arts Ribbon, Spellbinder’s Dies and you have a fun, summer layout.

Oh and there is that Cloud Embossing folder from Darice! We are loving that one ;)

Don’t forget about our CARD DESIGN TEAM CALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Day TWO!

Today we are here with Design Team Member Char Dobson. Char’s Tueseday tip for you is all about  the CD pocket. They are acid free and archival safe so perfect for any project.  And self-adhesive so just peal off the back!

Yes…we are in LOVE with these! I love the sentiment that Char uses…wonder what is on that CD?

And the other side:

Other supplies:  Bella Blvd stickers, May Arts ribbon, Ranger Distress ink
And Char created a card for us today, too. Love how Char combines purple with the natural jute and burlap flower from May Arts.
Notice the metal embellishments, too?  You need some GREAT adhesive for these kinds of embellishments, especially on a card that will be open and closed. That is why we love our Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L power tape.
Char’s next Tuesday  Tip is …..don’t be afraid to emboss those Core Cards!  Just emboss the front by sliding it in to your folder. They are perfectly sized A2 Cards that will fit right in your standard embossing folders like this one from Provocraft.
Other Core’dinations used : Kraft CoreCut & Emboss

NOW…make sure you check out the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog HERE and head over to Like them on Facebook here…you don’t want to miss any of that inspiration, do you?

Make sure you comment here to win an AWESOME Core goodie pack AND over at the Scrapbook Adhesives blog as well because they have an awesome giveaway of their adhesives, too! You have ALL WEEK LONG!

In that goodie pack from us you will see some of our awesome Glitter Silk cardstock.
