Ava here today to share some Spring cards with you today. Let’s start with a Clean and Simple card. With our pre-embossed cardstock, cards come together very quickly!
The Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Seasonal Impressions is a great pack of paper to create cards with. Find the pre-printed sentiment on the cardstock sheet, size it to the greeting card size and you can make a quick card without touching any ink.
Sand lightly with your Sand it Gadget and clean your sentiment using the Dust Buddy.
Punch out an embellishment using your Marvy Uchida Clever Lever Silhouette and Embossing punch, SE-E02 Heart Butterfly and add a bit of ribbon. I punched my butterfly from the Spotted Collection, Jillian Vavavoom color.
Ava again here to share with you another Spring card. Spring brings thoughts of new buds and greenery and that is the sign we all look for to indicate the beginning of a wonderful time of year. My CAS card has been embossed using the Couture Creations embossing folderfrom the Fresh & Fun collection, Magical and Sizzix Flourish folder.
Gather some supplies and this CAS card will come together quickly.
I used Core Essentials Pastels Collection pack for this card. Embossed and lightly sanded with my Sand it Gadget. Gently dust off my sanded cardstock with my Dust Buddy and you will reveal the light tones of the inner core.
Stamp your sentiment and image onto a die cut label, adhere with some Helmar’s Zap Dots onto the card to give some dimension to your card. Embellish with some rhinestones and ribbon and your CAS card is ready to go.

But of course we have some inspiration for you from Designer Suzanna Lee:
R U Merry? Suzanna here to share with you a card that will be sure to get your recipient ready for the festivities ahead!
Black Magic as a card base is a fantastic way to create a black background for your card yet have a colored cardstock on the inside for writing that important message. Sanded Seasonal Impressions is just like having a patterned paper for the the second layer of your background.
Aren’t the layers of that tree fun? Just pleat some paper a little haphazardly and cut in a triangular shape. Back with a slightly darker shade and adorn with some May Arts garland and sequins ornaments! The tree trunk and white lace are also from May Arts. No Christmas tree is complete without presents underneath so just stamp on some of the amazing 110 pound white cardstock, handcolor and fussy cut for your gifting pleasures.
Top the tree with a Glitter star and hang a banner to convery your greeting!

Well, yes it has been for a few weeks now but only FIVE days left until Christmas..can you believe it?
Today we have Designer Kim Moreno working some of her Core magic….ENJOY!
I just love the Tillie Dot paper and knew that it would make a cute and quick Christmas card so I went punch happy and put together this card in a snap! I punched 8 stars from the green cardstock and one from the yellow and sanded them each carefully with my Coredinations sanding block and arranged them on the Snowflake cardstock, that I tore along the bottom, in a tree shape. I then added jewels and a sticker to complete my card.
And Debbie Standard has some tags for us today, too! Take a good look at these beauties…there is SO much detail on them! Here is what Debbie has to say when it comes to creating with Core Tags:
I used some of the new smooth tags from Core’dination’s for these Christmas tags. I started out stamping on my tag, then I used some clear embossing powder and dried it with a Paper Studio Embossing Heat Tool. Then I played with some mists – using various ones. Once done I picked some Christmas stamps and stamped my sentiment on them. I added a May Arts Ribbon to finish them off.
Tattered Angels Mists Meadow Green and Candy Apple Red
Mister Huey’s Blizzard Mist
May Arts Ribbon
Stampendous Clear Embossing Powder
Paper Studio Embosisng Heat Tool
Queen & Co. Enamel Do
AND we have a layout from Gail Lindner today, too! Such a great layout with a non-traditional feel with the color palette!
Something I look forward to at Christmas is my kids’ visiting and getting their photo taken with Santa. I love the growing collection I have, seeing how fast they are growing up and realizing that next year there will be an extra one in the photo! Eeek!
Recently I scrapped last year’s photo, and wanted to keep to a soft, pastel color scheme.
I used only cardstock from the Core’dinations Whitewash collection – I’ve been just a bit obsessed with it lately! But I love the soft colors it gives and how effective just a little bit of sanding is.
You can see in the close up photo below how the edge shows the core color so easily.
For the panel down the bottom of the layout, I used a star punch to layer shapes punched out of the same cardstock. But with that little sand around the edges they really POP!
Now to work on this year’s photo!
Core’dinations Neutrals – Snowflake
Pastels – Sugar N Spice
Whitewash – Corner Hutch, Grandma’s Rocker, Cottage Porch, Garden Gate
Darice washi tape
Sand It Gadget
Cuttlebug embossing folder
Cutting file – Perfect Flourish Words
I love to make clean and simple layouts that really focus on the photo and cardstock. For my layout I started with my Core Essentials Snowflake and misted it lightly with a light teal color. I then used my Silhouette and cut some winter trees. I then tore the edges to expose the wonderful Core. I then took a green color and tore that and layered the colors making a border at the top and bottom. Next I took the green and embossed it and lightly sanded it with a snowflake pattern to frame mat my photo. Finally I cut out a 3×4 card with the title and to carry the theme of trees I cut out a tree. I then added some snowflake wood veneers. I just love the Clean and Simple look!
I love to make my own Christmas cards and Core’dinations is just perfect for them! For my first card I used Core Impressions and lightly sanded. Next I cut my Tim Holtz Distress collection and cut the word Believe and a circle using my Silhouette. I then lightly sanded it. Next I cut my snowflake out using my Silhouette and placed it in the center of my card. Then typical to my style I added a touch of bling to the center. To finish it off I added some yummy solid twine from May Arts.
My second card I wanted to bling it up using the Core Couture Glitter andGlitter Silk collections. Did you know that these two cardstocks work perfectly in the Silhouette. Yup, they do and I made this card using the Silhouette base. The glitter collections ROCK for making a Christmas tree. To add a touch more of bling I added some sequins.
