Hi! Jill from Every Day is an Occasion  here to share a Mother’s Day Project with you! I LOVE coupon booklets and so I thought it would be fun for my kids to give one to each of their Grandmothers with their present.

Mother’s Day Coupons

Children's Gift for Mother's Day by Every Day is an Occasion

To make these Mother’s Day Coupons I used my favorite 8 1/2 x 11 in. 110lb White Core’dinations cardstock and this print and cut design from the Silhouette Online Store.

Children's Activity for Mother's Day

My kids and I had so much fun thinking of different coupon ideas. I had fun hearing what they had to say like this one, “Good for one trip to the Candy Store.” I said, ” Now we need to think about what your Grandmothers are going to like.”  My daughter said, ” Oh my Grandma LOVES candy!”

To give the front cover of the Mother’s Day Coupons an aged look, I simple sanded the front cover AFTER I sprayed it. Since I printed onto 110 lb White Core, when I sanded the white came through and gave the pot an aged look which I thought was fun. We hope that our Grandmothers will enjoy this coupon book!

Here is a little bit about this project from Kim,

Mothers day is getting closer and my eldest’s school was asking for donations of handmade cards for their mothers day stall.  I whipped a few sets of these up over a couple of hours on the weekend. I made 50 cards in total.
I have used Core Essentials in matching tones. I had a friend make some simple word art pictures in photoshop, I created a file with mulitple copies and I then printed them out onto the Core cardstock that was cut to size to fit in my printer. I then cut them up into individual cards and sanded the edges with my sanding block. Finally I cut more Core Essentials into a card shape and glued the word art to the card. Easy and quick!
