I stamped all the bunnies using Quick Quotes Chalk Ink. The pretty stamped images totally pop on the 110lb Cardstock.
Each card also uses the pretty Pastels Collection. By embossing and sanding the Pastels, I added just the perfect touch of texture to my simple Easter cards.
Wishing you a hippity, hoppity good day!
Today we have some projects our team created with their kids! Crafting is so much fun especially when you can do it with your kids.
First up we have Designer Heather Ann Kaesgan. She made a some wall art with her son. Her son just LOVED the doggie accents with the Imaginisce Good Dog line. He sanded the canvas using his Sand it Gadget after gluing down some Vintage Cardstock…PS KIDS LOVE OUR SAND IT GADGET! It is easy for them to hold onto and, of course, sanding is so much fun! And when they clean off the paper with the Dust Buddy it’s like magic!
Next we have Jill Lebbin…..
Hello Everyone! Jill from Every Day is an Occasion back with another project for you! Today I have a Hot Air Balloon Card. We gave this card to my sweet cousin, who turned 17 this year. I have to tell you, I cannot take complete credit for this card. My son actually assisted me in making this card. He helped pick out the colors, stamp the background, and use the hot air balloon dies. He is such a big helper!
Hot Air Balloon Birthday Card
For this card I used Tim Holtz Kraft Core, Brights Pack, and Neutral Pack of Core’dinations paper. Like I always say, the brights and white are my go to paper packs. I am very impressed with the way that they take stamps. I even put glossy accents on top of the balloons that I had popped up with foam adhesive. The paper held up very well. It did not tear. I sprayed some Colorshine on the paper too, just to give it extra excitement.
Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my..I mean..my son’s and my hot air balloon card!
Have a SUPER fun day!!
Every month we challenge our designers to try new things. It might be a collection pack, techniques…something different just to get those creative juices flowing. So for July, we challenged our designers to use the Brights Collection pack and to do some fussy cutting for some added interest. Cut those stamps…cut those embossed images…you name it the sky is the limit!
The Brights collection pack is the PERFECT color palette for all your summer layouts and projects! Don’t be afraid of those bright colors..embrace them!
First up we have a tutorial from Designer Kate Nolan-Denham on how she cut out some stamped images from her Brights Cardstock. This is a super easy way to create your own embellishments, don’t you think?
Stamp directly on the Core texture side. Looks awesome!
LOVE that thick outlined image you get from the stamping…
And since circles seem to be a theme for a lot of our team right now, we thought we would share a layout from Design Team Member Gail Linder using our Brights Collection pack for this very challenge as well! Here is a little bit about this layout from Gail:
Okay, well, Gail didn’t fussy cut her own details but you get the idea. We LOVE our Silhouette Cameo here at Core. There are so many amazing things you can do with it!
And one from Design Team Member Debbie Standard. Debbie anchored her Brights Collection with some Whitewash. And how about all that embossing and sanding! Fabulous…every detail is just amazing! Debbie combines multiple embossing folders form Darice, her Fiskars Paper crimper, outlining on the layout base, die cuts….you name it!
Stay tuned for tomorrow for some more fun in the sun layouts with our Brights Collection pack!
I don’t know about you but I don’t get a chance to scrap Easter (or Holiday photos) until after the Holidays. It seems as if then all they hype is over and I we have moved on to the next Holiday for inspiration. Well not here! Today we have some inspo for you to get out those Easter shots from a few weeks ago and scrap them. Don’t wait until next year….if you are like me you will behind schedule
Design Team Member Lydia Jackson created this layout with a beautiful mix of Core. She used Pink Paislee Core Impressions (honeycomb and dots) and then she used her Spellbinders die to make the impression on the neutral cardstock found in our NEW Neutrals Collection packs.
And here is a detail of that impression with Spellbinder’s die. LOVE it!!
