Make an impression with Core’dinations

….that is with our CORE IMPRESSIONS! Debbie Standard is rocking the layouts for us today. ENJOY!!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Creating with the Core Impressions line is SO MUCH fun! For this page I wanted an embossed background in a soft color so I chose a sheet from the Pink Paisley collection as my base which I sanded with my Sand It Gadget and then dusted with my Dust Buddy. Then I just went through my scraps (and yes I keep all reusable Core’dination’s scraps) and picked colors from the basic core colors that went with my photo and background paper.  To tie them all together I used a neutral beige to back each square.  I embossed each square with Darice embossing folders, sanded them and then matted them with the Neutral beige.  I added my title and some embellishments both hand made and pre-made to compete the page. The beautiful girls are my daughter (left) and her bff.
With Design Team Member Debbie Standard!
Core’dination’s has so many wonderful collections to choose from it makes creating easy!  I love this Pink Paisley Impression’s collection.  I picked pink for my page and sanded it with my Sand it Gadget so that the embossing would stand out more.  Then I used my Dust Buddy to collect the extra dust from the sanding.  Next I chose a piece of the Spotted Jillian collection – attached it with my Xyron mega runner and stitched on it.  I added some of the pastel Core’dination’s tags and layered it.  I added a David Tutera tag on which I stamped.  Then using some of the Glitter Silk collection I punched out some snowflakes and topped them with pearls and pom poms from Queen & Co.  I created a little film strip along the bottom of my photos of more of the photos from the day.
And Whitewash Cardstock is the PERFECT accent for all those snow photos!
I love the White Wash Collection.  There’s just so many fun things to do with it.  For this page I started out scoring around the page.  Then I opened up a Cuttlebug Embossing folder of snowflakes and laid it open behind my cardstock and sanded over it.  It didn’t come out  in sharp detail but gave the background a different look.  Then I also just sanded  with my Sand It Gadget around the entire outside edge of the page.  Once I finished I dusted it all off with my Dust Buddy and added some stenciling and stamping.  I added some Darice Washi tape along the top and bottom of my page and then added my papers, tags and photo.  I wrapped the top photo layer with some Queen & Co. twine (love this stuff).  I wanted some sparkly snowflakes so I took a sheet of the David Tutura Step two Edge Silver Metalic pack and punched out my snowflakes.  Then I just added some rhinestones from Queen & Co. Layouts with Designer Melissa Oliveira
Designing with Melissa Oliveira today!  Here is a little bit about this cute layout from Melissa:
The graphic design of the Pink Paislee Core Impressions made a great home for a grid style layout. AND chevrons are all the rage these days! Keeping the layout clean and simple with just a bit of sanding and embossing allows the little details like the punched butterflies, sanded edges and machine stitched border shine through.
And a close up…Core’dinations is just so great. Sand some, emboss some, use your Fiskars Paper Crimper like Melissa did here with the yellow strip …so many textures so little time! And the added Queen & Co. bling on the butterflies is the perfect touch!
Any old but goodie!
Designer Melissa Oliveria created this layout for us today. Banners never get old, do they?
The cupcake banner was created by embossing and sanding several 1″ strips of Core Essentials cardstock, then trimming a “v” shape at one end of each strip. A punched, sanded Whitewash border was added to each flag before adhering to the layout using foam dots. The base is Pink Paislee Core Impressions…just a little sanding goes a long way!
And I just heard that the NEW Design Team is 99.99% finalized. So stay tuned for the announcement!!!!!!!!!!!
We have another beautiful layout from Rebecca to share with you today!
She worked that Pink Paislee Core Impressions….First up, Rebecca actually turned the hexagon print on its side so it goes horizontally across the page. It totally changes the entire focus of the layout. Add some hand cut details from the pre-embossed circle designs and you are on your way to one awesome layout!
Thanks, Rebecca!
Here are is a detail of that sanding…loooooove it!
