Hi! My name is Clare Buswell. I live in the south-west of Ireland in the countryside with Niall and our lovely 5 year old daughter Isabelle.
I’ve always been creative in some form or another, I studied graphic design at art college. I only discovered the whole world of paper-crafting after the birth of my daughter when I had little time but longed to be creative again. Card-making was the perfect answer for me and is now my passion. I also really love to make 3D paper projects. I love stamping, quilling and making my own embellishments, especially paper flowers! I love trying out different techniques and coming up with my own. I also love to paint with acrylics and watercolors.
I’ve been lucky enough to have my work published in Paper Crafts, CARDS and CardMaker magazines in the US and I design regularly for Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine in the UK.
When I’m not paper-crafting I love to spend my time gardening, baking and with my family.
I’m really excited to be part of the Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock design team!
Cute layout – those little arrows get to the point!
love the spotted cardstock- would love to have some to try~
Today we have designer Andrea Amu with the Tuesday Tip to create a handmade gift for that special someone….grandmothers, moms, dads, teacher’s aunts, uncles…this is perfect for ANYONE!
Framed subway art! How cool is this. Just create the cuts on your Cricut or diecutting machine and viola! You have the perfect gift for anyone, anytime of year.
And Andrea has some great tips:
1.) Back the cuts in a lighter color so they really pop.
2.) Cuts don’t line up exactly how you want? Add little embellishments!
3.) AND, of course, a photo! Personalizing it will mean so much.
4.) Add a doily for that soft, feminine touch.
5.) And don’t spend a ton on a frame. Get them on sale at your craft store. You can paint them any color you like!
And a detail:
Happy Hump Day!
Today we have some projects from Designer Andrea Amu. As usual Andrea works her Cricut and the Core…so many amazing details so grab that coffee and sit back and enjoy!
And how about some ch-ch-ch-chevron?! The Core Impressions Pink Paislee Modern Prints collection has tons of great chevron prints. Swooooon! Andrea used the backside of the Chocolate Box and inked it for the first layer and then cut out pieces of the chevron and sanded every other one, too! Add a stamped sentiment and you are good to go. Love it!
Want to see how Design Team Member Char Dobson created all these fun party decorations?! Seriously, Pink Owls, party favors, banners…what could be better?!?!?!?!!?

When we look out at our crafting community, it’s hard to imagine that pretty much everyone has been touched by Breast Cancer in one way or another.
Design Team Member Char Dobson created this card for us today to remember those who have fought and are fighting today. Please take a moment and reach out to someone you love today!
Have you had time to play with our Core Cuts?
Are team is having fun with it! Make sure you check out the Core Cuts page HERE for more idea AND some videos!
Design Team Member Char Dobson created these beautiful projects for us today! Char added some bits and pieces of her embellishment stash that matched perfectly BUT the rest is all cardstock from the Core Cuts pack. You don’t need much else, do you?
Char embossed the card base with a Provocraft Embossing folder. LOVE the contrast of the chevron print with the doilies.
