Stampendous, Tim Holtz Kraft-Core, and Ranger Distress Stains

Designer April Derrick has a layout for us! Stampendous has the CUTEST and FUNNIEST sentiments for Holidays like this Tinsel one that April used.  And she always ROCKS the Ranger and we all know how great the Distress Inks and stains go well with kraft.

Stampendous Products: Boss Gloss, Shabby Pink Pastel Embossing Enamel, Glitter, Cling Poinsettia Background stamp, & Cling Tinsel Tangle Stamp
Queen & Co., Twinkle Goosebumps, Twinkle Motifs, Pearls

* Tinsel tip 1: I sanded over the embossed words just a little, and then I stained them with Ranger’s Distress Stain. I gently wiped the excess stain off with a paper towel and repeated the process once more to darken the color. As you can see from this layout, the Kraft-Core from the Nostaglia line and the Seasonal Impressions core’dinate perfectly!

* Tinsel tip 2: I used a damp paint brush to apply Beacon Fast Finish Decoupage to the Tim Holtz Kraft Core Seasonal Impressions cardstock and then I quickly dropped some fine snow white glitter from Stampendous all over it. It dries in no time flat and then you have super sparkly embossed cardstock!

All that shimmers is…

Our Fabulous Core Couture and Glitter Silk cardstock lines!

Ooooh….ahhhhhh….Shiney!

Did you know that not all of our cardstock has a sandable surface? I know, I know…can you believe it?  But we do have some lines that have a beautiful shimmer and shine to them.  Same GREAT Core…just a little different that if you sand it, that finish will go away BUT you can still cut it, emboss and do all the other great things you do with Core everyday.

You will LOVE this…it barely sheds, cuts like butter…embosses beautifully! Take a close look..Debbie embossed it!

And some more Core Couture…as you can see the glitter picks up all sorts of colors. And is beautiful even in black.

Add some May Arts Ribbon and Queen & Co pearls and you have a gorgeous card.

Add some accents and don’t be afraid to print your journaling right on that  Core cardstock!   Add bits and pieces of your favorite embellishments like Pearls from Queen and Co. and you have the perfect layout.

Hello Monday

Wow, does Monday just keep sneaking up on you? It does to me! What better way to celebrate a new week than with some scrappy inspiration?

Today we have a layout from Design Team member Kandis Smith that is just jam packed with techniques. On this layout, Kandis stamped, embossed (with a  Tim Holtz Sizzix embossing folder) sanded, used her Silohuette (for the flower), stitched and added some Maya Road AND
Queen Co. embellishments. Did we miss anything??? Besides the Whitewash and Core Essentials cardstock, of course!

This layout totally has me inspired to get in my scrappy room  and create.

Terrific Tuesday!

Good Morning Everyone! It is gearing up to be a terrific Tuesday, isn’t it?  We are gearing up for some more snow here on the East Coast. What does the weather look like in your area? I know when we get ready for a snow storm in our household we stock up on hot chocolate, pizza and adhesive!
